Chapter Twenty-Six has ended.

Fortunately, the rescue operation went smoothly without any unexpected problems.

Wu Yu and the others followed closely behind Philliss, watching her wave a strange jade-colored stone around, just like those unreliable treasure hunters from their previous lives.

Suddenly, as if sensing something, Phillis pointed excitedly to his feet and shouted, "This is it, hero! Help me rescue Sister Mapel!"

How can I help? Wu Yu really wanted to ask this. We don't even have any tools; you can't expect me to dig with my bare hands, especially since I only have one hand left. Can't you be a little more understanding of disabled people?

But Wu Yu couldn't contradict himself, so he looked to Jack for help.

As expected, Jack did not disappoint him. His silver battle aura covered his entire arm, which then easily pierced the sand like a drill.

Just as Jack was about to fall to the ground, he finally stopped, but this was only for the sake of his later outburst.

Jack's entire body began to radiate silver battle aura, and his powerful aura spread outwards, but it had no destructive power. The effect that Wu Yu felt was similar to that of a high-powered electric fan.

What's annoying is that it blew sand everywhere, causing Wu Yu to cough incessantly.

Once the wind subsided a bit, Wu Yu squinted and looked back.

Seeing Jack's appearance, Wu Yu couldn't help but want to laugh. The sand was particularly noticeable on his silver, tousled hair.

Now he looks much like a rich young master on his first farm work, with a comical expression on his face. No wonder he always covers himself with a hood; the environment here is indeed easy to ruin his handsome image.

But when Wu Yu saw what he was holding in his hand, he couldn't laugh at all.

It was a nearly naked woman, but she was almost unrecognizable in her current state. Her long brown hair was draped over her face, and her entire body was covered with countless wounds, turning her into a blood-soaked figure. She was a female corpse that had been tortured and then abandoned.

No one could have imagined that she was a dashing female knight not long ago.

Wu Yu frowned subconsciously. This was the first time he had ever seen such a bloody scene. He even felt his stomach churning and felt like vomiting. Fortunately, he turned his gaze away in time and managed to control himself.

The bloody tragedy before his eyes was even more terrifying to Wu Yu than the Demon King's previous massacre of the city. For the first time, he had a real sense of losing his life, and he seemed to understand why Jack said that the Demon King was merciful, that He let the dead rest in peace and the living have less to worry about.

Is this the multifaceted nature of intelligent life?

Just as Wu Yu began to contemplate the philosophy of life, Phillis rushed forward.

She gently took Maper from Jack's hand, then touched her sapphire ring, and a bunch of things Wu Yu had never seen before appeared on the ground.

"start."

Philliss picked up a piece of yellow crystal and breathed on it. The crystal shimmered and a magic circle appeared below Mapel, after which her body floated up.

Then Philliss replaced it with a sky-blue crystal, and the sand grains embedded in Maper's flesh and the bloodstains on her body began to peel away gradually.

Amazing! This scene reminded Wu Yu of the nanobots mentioned in science fiction novels. Is there anything that magic can't do?

Seeing Wu Yu's curious expression, Jack skillfully explained, "This is a magic crystal engraved with magic formulas. The magic sealed inside can be reused. The advantage is that it can be reused as long as it is charged. The disadvantage is that it cannot seal high-level formulas, and it is extremely expensive to make."

After cleaning up the clutter, Phillis picked up a bottle of high-grade life potion that he had given to Jack before and poured it generously onto Maper. If one bottle wasn't enough, he would add another. Only after throwing away the fifth empty bottle did he evenly apply the medicine all over Maper's body.

Looking at the potion that had mostly spilled on the ground, Jack's expression turned somewhat pained. He said sourly, "What a waste. She really is a princess. She's spent tens of thousands of gold coins in such a short time."

Wu Yu felt that Jack, whom he used to regard as a nouveau riche, had changed. Now, his eyes were similar to those of beggars outside when they saw a rich man driving a Lamborghini—envious and inferior, but not even qualified to be jealous.

Hey, hey, hey, how am I supposed to live with this kind of attitude? Stop trying to solve everything with money, okay? I'm under a lot of pressure.

Feeling that the person had been saved, Wu Yu felt relieved and even had the mind to let his mind wander. However, he soon realized that this was an opportunity.

The advanced life potion was indeed miraculous. The wounds on Maper's body began to rapidly heal and shed their skin, and her entire body was recovering at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Wu Yu shifted his position to get a better angle to appreciate the beauty in front of him.

Breathing heavily through his nose, Wu Yu swore to himself that he was absolutely studying the human body structure with a scientific eye, and truly had no ulterior motives whatsoever.

Do not look at what is improper.

"And you, Jerry, kids shouldn't peek when adults are doing things."

Just as Wu Yu was about to see the mysterious parts that even modern scantily clad beauties would cover up, a hand blocked his entire view.

"Ah! Jack, let me go! You can't stop my determination to pursue science!" Wu Yu cried out as he tried to struggle.

"Sigh." Jerry sighed, then took a cloak from his storage space and threw it over.
