True Chapter Ten: Arrival in the Elf Kingdom

This place is actually quite suitable for me to live in seclusion in the future.

After wandering around this pristine forest with its unique natural charm for a month, Wu Yu had already planned out the rest of his life.

It wasn't that Wu Yu, who had always lived in a big city, had a strange fondness for this unfamiliar countryside; it was mainly that he quite liked the lifestyle here.

Wu Yu also encountered the elves, whose hair was generally emerald green. Apart from their pointed ears, they were no different from humans, except that each of them was ridiculously good-looking.

Any male would make Wu Yu feel ashamed of himself, but Wu Yu was not jealous, and this level of cruel reality could not hurt his strong heart.

Then look at those elf ladies. On average, they are only slightly less beautiful than Violet. There are several who can rival her, but none of them are more beautiful than Violet.

To be honest, looking at these handsome men and beautiful women, Wu Yu was surprised by Violet's perfect development. She had human genes and had a beauty comparable to that of an elf. Her luck was truly heaven-defying.

However, what attracted Wu Yu the most was that the elves did not have currency. Because of their small population, the resources in the forest were more than enough to meet everyone's needs. Even if they encountered something they really liked, they would exchange it with others through barter.

Once Wu Yu, a poor man, arrives in the Elf Kingdom, he can immediately escape the hateful gap between the rich and the poor.

This must be the nature of their race. Their excessively long lifespan makes them rather lazy. They don't like to keep their lives burning, and they basically live their entire lives within their tribes.

Only the fleeting nature of life makes people eager to pursue a life as brilliant as a shooting star.

Unfortunately, Wu Yu didn't have time to properly experience life here. He only stayed briefly in a village each day and left in a hurry the next day.

Unfortunately, the elves' notorious arrogance has always been a fact; they almost instinctively avoid contact with other intelligent races.

However, this arrogant attitude is quite easy to exploit. You just need to lower your own posture a little and tell them how hard it is for you as a traveler. Not only do you have to deal with wild beasts that are always lurking in the forest, but you also have to take care of the weak Violet. As a grown man, you are always worried sick.

At this point, the elves would take Wu Yu back to the village in a manner similar to charity, just like humans would take pity on a poor stray cat and bring it home.

Violet played a decisive role here. The second widely known characteristic of elves is that they are naturally attracted to appearances, instinctively abhorring ugliness and loving beauty. Violet's unparalleled beauty, comparable to that of elves, won their approval.

Wu Yu always felt that being taken in was just a side effect, even though he could be described as handsome.

Once you enter the elf village, it's time to enjoy freebies! Although the elves aren't particularly hospitable, they maintain the mindset of a superior nation. They have to be classy when receiving outsiders, otherwise it would be unbecoming of a great power.

Therefore, the treatment Wu Yu received can be said to be the highest standard in the village.

Wu Yu wasn't the kind of person who would take advantage of small things, and getting something for free didn't bring him any joy.

Even though the soft and comfortable bed was a hundred times more comfortable than the muddy and hard ground, and even though the sweet and delicious fruits were a thousand times more delicious than the rough and dry flatbread, Wu Yu's only purpose in going to these elven tribes was to ask for directions.

All other experiences were just incidental. As a true game enthusiast, Wu Yu never took advantage of others for free!

Although the Elf Kingdom is nominally called a country, it is actually a super-large primitive tribal settlement. Although it occupies one-tenth of the world's land, its population is less than one percent of the world's population.

If it weren't for the fact that elves are naturally skilled in combat, and almost everyone is proficient in both magic and martial arts, and that human kingdoms are prone to internal strife and hindering each other, greedy humans would never have given up such a large area to them.

Because of their nature of cherishing nature, the elves living in the Endless Forest generally do not cut down trees. As a result, there are no obvious roads between villages, and there are no teleportation arrays between villages. This is a real problem for Wu Yu. If he doesn't ask someone for directions, he probably won't be able to leave this forest for the rest of his life.

When Wu Yu arrived at his destination, he finally understood why Phillis had only given him a letter and then let him come here. In the human kingdom, it was incredibly difficult for a commoner to meet the emperor.

However, in the Elf Kingdom, although the elves also have class distinctions, they appear to be much more democratic. Apart from the royal family being fixed, another power institution in the Elf Kingdom is entirely elected by popular vote. This is the Council of Elders, composed of highly respected elders, who handle most of the affairs of the Elf Kingdom.

A democratic class naturally comes with enlightened policies. Regardless of your status, you can convey your voice to the highest levels of the Elf Kingdom. The only difference lies in the order of precedence.

However, elves don't like writing reports as much as humans do, and the elders don't have endless official documents to review. Wu Yu received an invitation from the Elf Queen the day after he delivered the princess's letter.

The reason we didn't receive the invitation that day was because all the elders were resting at home that day, and no one was on duty.
