Chapter 86 Something's fishy

A series of noisy footsteps came from the main road and turned directly into the dock.

As Chen Sisi raised his head, he saw a large group of people, about thirty or forty strong men, carrying carrying poles and wooden sticks and other tools, swarming towards him.

The leader was none other than Cao Hua.

Cao Hua, dressed in a shiny leather jacket and with his hair styled with mousse, walked confidently towards Shen Sisi in a pair of flared pants that made his legs look even longer.

"I'd like to see who dares to touch my people, Cao Hua's people." Cao Hua walked arrogantly to Chen Sisi's side and gave her a reassuring look.

"Don't be afraid, even if the sky falls, I'll hold it up for you."

Shen Sisi wasn't too scared, but she was still very touched and nodded to him: "Brother Hua, you're like a timely rain."

Cao Hua raised his voice: "Of course..."

He had been waiting for Shen Sisi to deliver the goods, but she never showed up. So he sent Dong Xiaojiang to check along the way, and Dong Xiaojiang saw Shen Sisi being bullied at other docks.

Dong Xiaojiang was cunning; instead of alerting the enemy, he took off running towards Cao Hua.

Cao Hua was shocked to hear this.

He immediately ordered the brothers on the dock to grab their tools and follow him to rescue the people, and they surrounded the area with great force.

Seeing this, Yang Rong was so frightened that her calves trembled.

No wonder this little girl dared to venture to the docks alone; it turns out she has someone backing her up.

It's still Cao Hua!

Although Cao Hua wasn't exactly a tyrant at the docks, he was still a well-known figure, and no one dared to mess with him.

Seeing how protective Cao Hua was of the little girl, Yang Rong also suppressed her temper and gave a flattering smile.

"Oh, it's Brother Hua! What a coincidence! We're family, yet we don't recognize each other..." Yang Rong offered him a cigarette, but Cao Hua didn't even glance at it, showing him no respect whatsoever.

Yang Rong's heart skipped a beat, and she finally became serious: "I'm sorry, we didn't know this was one of your people. It was a misunderstanding. Please forgive us."

Cao Hua sneered, "Now you realize it's a misunderstanding? I heard you just now, you kept saying there was something wrong with my sister's medicated oil. You're a century-old shop, how can you accuse someone without any evidence? Don't you have any shame?"

The men on the docks all around were brandishing sticks and shouting in unison.

"Shameless! Shameless!"

Yang Rong knew she had gone too far, but Shen Sisi's business had already affected the medicinal oils of families like theirs.

As the saying goes, people die for wealth, and birds die for food.

The sudden appearance of Chen Sisi has severely impacted the sales of their medicinal oil.

Of course, this cannot be said outright.

Seeing that he had aroused public outrage, Yang Rong swallowed hard and stepped forward, saying, "Brother Hua, we're all just trying to make a living. You have to give us a way to survive, don't you?"

"All the spring orders for medicinal oil went to this Jin Feng brand. Our sales have been drastically reduced. How are we supposed to survive?"

She was completely confused by what she was hearing. What was this about spring's medicinal oil orders? How come she didn't know anything about it?

This was the great news that Cao Hua wanted to tell Shen Sisi.

Just the day before yesterday, a buyer who specializes in trading medicinal oils in the Russian region approached Cao Hua. He ordered 80% of the medicinal oils he would sell this spring to Jin Feng brand medicinal oils.

The shop owner must have heard somewhere that Jin Feng brand medicated oil was good, so he took the initiative to come to the shop.

Cao Hua was overjoyed when he heard this.

But Shen Sisi felt that there was something strange about this whole thing.

First of all, none of them had recommended Jin Feng brand medicated oil to this buyer.

Secondly, this person ordered far too much medicinal oil at once, accounting for 80% of the spring orders, which must be tens of thousands of bottles.

Keep in mind, her business has only just begun; she hasn't expanded or promoted it yet, and she hasn't even registered her brand. This sugar daddy who's actively seeking her out must be incredibly trusting of her!

She thought for a moment and then asked Cao Hua, "Brother Hua, do you know that person?"

"I've seen them a few times before; they are indeed cargo ships that travel to the Russian region, but I've never dealt with them."

Chen Sisi asked again, "Could you introduce me to him?"

Cao Hua said, "I'm afraid that won't work. He mentioned it when we met for tea. He said he was going to the county to collect some mountain products and probably won't be back for several days."

A few days later... does it really need that long?

Still feeling uneasy, Shen Sisi suddenly noticed the rows of cargo ships around her and had a sudden inspiration: "Brother Hua, can you show me his cargo ships?"

The man can run, but the cargo ship can't.

Cao Hua had no idea what Chen Sisi was up to. Seeing her incredulous expression, he decided to just take it as a case of caution being the best policy.

He turned his head and glanced over. Just then, the merchant's ship was moored near the dock. It was a medium-sized cargo ship that wasn't very big, and its name and number were printed on the ship.

She didn't understand any of this; she only noticed the large canvas on the ship and the few boatmen leaning against the bow smoking.

If she remembered correctly, the ocean currents in winter flow from north to south. This time, they were heading north to the Russian region, which was going against the current. Moreover, the wind direction was quite different. Why would they have such a large sail and so few workers?

Besides, the further north you go in this season, the colder the sea becomes. By the time you reach the Russian region, the sea will probably be frozen. If it is a cargo ship, it shouldn't be traveling north by water at this time. If it is going to go, it would probably need to prepare an icebreaker.

She thought about it again and again, and felt that there must be something fishy about it. It was as if her sixth sense was constantly reminding her that everything was strange.

So she said to Cao Hua, "Brother Hua, I think this ship is very suspicious. Look at the current season, ocean currents, and wind direction; a normal cargo ship wouldn't schedule its journey like this. And there are so few workers; you know, the journey north is not easy."
