Han Xinrui just smiled and said nothing.
An Ning refused with a smile on her face: "There's not much food at home. Sister Yan, I'm afraid you won't be able to get used to it."
Yan Chunmei placed the pork elbow and braised pork on the table, smiling broadly: "Are you not welcoming me?"
An Ning laughed at her: "If you want to understand it that way, I can't help it!"
Yan Chunmei's expression froze for a moment, then she continued to smile: "Then I'll assume that you are willing to eat with me."
Sun Miaomiao, who was standing by, rolled her eyes at Yan Chunmei with disdain.
So, this is what happened during the next meal.
Yan Chunmei kept asking about Han Xinrui.
Han Xinrui just replied with one or two words indifferently.
"Xinrui, where did your adoptive parents find you? I heard that your adoptive parents died very early. Who raised you afterwards?"
Han Xinrui said coldly: "I don't know, my parents didn't tell me!"
"Why don't you look for your parents?"
Han Xinrui replied: "I don't have any clues. I don't know how to find them."
Yan Chunmei looked at Han Xinrui and continued to talk to herself, "In Pei County, boys are favored over girls. Many girls are drowned at birth. They were merciful by not killing you."
After she finished speaking, Han Xinrui had already put down her bowl and chopsticks. She looked at Yan Chunmei intently and asked her, "Aunt Yan, are you saying that I was thrown away by them and I should thank them?"
The smile on Yan Chunmei's face could no longer be maintained.
The corners of her mouth twitched slightly, and then she laughed dryly: "I didn't mean that! I just said that they didn't drown you, maybe they couldn't bear to let you go. After all, they are your parents who gave birth to you and raised you. There is no such thing as an unkind parent in the world. You should be grateful."
Han Xinrui curled her lips and sneered, "I didn't ask them to give birth to me! They could have chosen not to have me. What should I be grateful to them for? Gratitude for throwing me away, or gratitude for leaving me in a forest farm with temperatures dozens of degrees below zero?"
Yan Chunmei could no longer maintain the smile on her face. She smiled and said to Han Xinrui, "Xinrui, why are you so angry? It's not like I abandoned you."
Han Xinrui's tone became even colder: "Aunt Yan, have you finished eating? Go home early after eating! Commander Zhang is already waiting for you at home. I just saw him pass by over there."
Yan Chunmei didn't expect Han Xinrui to drive her away so directly.
She looked at Han Xinrui with an ugly expression, then stood up and left.
Before leaving, she suddenly turned to Sun Miaomiao and asked, "Miaomiao, didn't you want to show me your jade pendant? Can you let me see it again?"
Sun Miaomiao said to Yan Chunmei irritably, "You didn't lose the child, why are you looking at the jade pendant? What does it have to do with you?"
Sun Miaomiao is the little granddaughter spoiled by Commander Sun, and she won't give face to anyone.
When Yan Chunmei heard this, her face turned very ugly.
She left angrily.
After walking a few steps, she saw Zhang Xuebin coming to find her.
He had obviously heard what Yan Chunmei said. He frowned and asked her, "What jade pendant? Are you hiding something from me?"
Yan Chunmei glanced at Zhang Xuebin and sneered, "Zhang Xuebin, what's it got to do with you?"
She was filled with resentment and had no place to vent, so she turned around and left.
Zhang Xuebin looked back at Han Xinrui in confusion.
What jade pendant?
Could it be that Yan Chunmei really has other purposes for coming here this time?
