Suddenly a hammer was thrown out of the house.
Han Xinrui dodged with the child in her arms. Fortunately, she pulled the hammer quickly, otherwise the hammer would have hit the child directly.
The child seemed to be accustomed to this scene. He shrugged with Han Xinrui and said, "Sister, go in! My dad doesn't want to see me!"
As she spoke, she crawled out of Han Xinrui's arms and sat at the door with the dog again.
The voice in the house sounded again: "Who!"
Han Xinrui took a deep breath and stood at the door and said, "Brother Yan, my name is Han Xinrui, and I'm the daughter of Han Daming and Zhang Hongmei. They also died in that accident."
When Yan Jianming heard Han Xinrui's words, he said in a deep voice, "What are you doing here?"
Han Xinrui hesitated and asked, "Can I come in?"
"Come in!" he responded in a hoarse voice.
After Han Xinrui entered the room, she saw a man with only half of his body left sitting on a small stool.
Both of his legs had been amputated and he didn't look well.
He looked up at Han Xinrui and said in a cold tone, "What do you want to ask me that you have come all this way to ask me?"
Han Xinrui was a little surprised when she heard his words: "You know I came here to ask you about what happened back then?"
Yan Jianming chuckled: "You specifically mentioned that you are the daughter of the victim of that accident. Didn't you come here to ask about what happened back then? Did you come here to offer your condolences?"
Han Xinrui stopped talking nonsense after hearing this and asked directly, "Brother Yan, I came here because I suspect something happened that year. I asked the security guard and Director Yuan before I came. Huo Dahai should have been on duty that day, so why did my father take over? And what a coincidence, the factory building collapsed that day."
Yan Jianming stared at Han Xinrui for a while and said, "Go get me and my daughter something to eat! I want to eat meat. My daughter and I haven't had meat for a long time."
Han Xinrui waited for him to speak, but the first thing he did was order her to cook.
Han Xinrui didn't get angry either. She nodded and said, "Okay! Then I'll take the kids to buy some meat."
She then asked Yan Jianming, "What's the child's name?"
Yan Jianming was silent for a moment: "You bastard!"
Han Xinrui frowned, but did not refute. Instead, she turned and walked out.
She walked to the door, took the little girl's hand and said, "Come on, I'll take you to buy some meat."
The little girl looked up at Han Xinrui, hesitated for a moment and said, "Can I really eat meat?"
Han Xinrui took her hand and said, "Come on, take me to buy meat. I have money!"
The little girl took her to the village chief's house and said: "There is no place to buy meat here. Give money to the village chief and he will have meat."
Han Xinrui followed the little girl and brought back a piece of meat.
After returning with the meat, she wanted to take the little girl into the house, but she didn't dare to go in at all. She muttered softly: "Sister, I won't go. Dad won't let me in."
Han Xinrui looked at Yan Jianming, then at the girl, and said to her, "Come in, I need help. I don't know how to use the stove."
The little girl tiptoed in from the back door and quickly went behind the stove.
After she crawled behind the stove, she made a hushing gesture to Han Xinrui.
The little girl lit the fire for her, asked for a bunch of leeks from the neighboring house, and dug a radish from her own vegetable garden.
Looking at this sensible little girl, Han Xinrui asked her: "What do you do when your dad doesn't let you into the house?"
The little girl was silent for a moment, then said softly, "Dad put the dog food at the door. Ah Huang and I will eat some together. Ah Huang and I will sleep at the door at night."
Han Xinrui frowned as she listened to the little girl's words: "Why does your father treat you like this?"
The little girl whispered: "Because my father said
