They couldn't defeat the Blood Wolves, and Ruolin Zhou being torn to pieces by them saved them a lot of trouble.
The surrounding rogue cultivators held their breath, some even closing their eyes.
In their view, no matter how strong Lin Zhou was, he couldn't possibly stop the enraged Netherworld Blood Wolf, and what followed would inevitably be a tragic scene of him being torn apart by the wolf's claws.
But the next second, everyone froze.
Faced with the huge wolf shadow rushing towards him, Lin Zhou showed no panic whatsoever, not even a change in his eyes.
He simply raised his right hand slowly, his fingertips lightly touching the Netherworld Blood Wolf, and uttered a single word, his voice calm yet carrying an irresistible power:
"Certainly."
The moment the words were spoken, time seemed to be paused.
The Netherworld Blood Wolf, which was pouncing in mid-air, suddenly froze, unable to move forward even an inch.
Its massive wolf claw stopped less than a foot above Lin Zhou's head, the black mist solidified around the claw without even a ripple.
The fierce light in his dark red pupils vanished instantly, replaced by overwhelming terror, to the point that he couldn't even blink.
Even the black venom that was about to spit out of its mouth stopped in its throat, unable to move.
The entire plain fell into a deathly silence in an instant, with only the rustling of the wind blowing through the wild grass remaining.
Everyone stared wide-eyed at the unbelievable scene before them.
That Netherworld Blood Wolf, which even Huo Zheng, Fang Rui, and Lu Zhizhou couldn't suppress together, was actually frozen in place by Lin Zhou with a single word?!
Shen Jinhao stared wide-eyed at the frozen blood wolf, unable to utter a single word for a long time.
He knew Lin Zhouqiang before, but he didn't expect him to be this strong!
To be able to immobilize the Netherworld Blood Wolf with just one word—what terrifying power is that?
Luo Yun Chu's hand holding the ice sword trembled slightly, her clear eyes filled with shock.
She finally understood that Lin Zhou's previous composure was not feigned calmness, but rather a genuine confidence that could crush everything!
The schadenfreude on Huo Zheng's face vanished instantly, replaced by deep apprehension, and the flames around him subconsciously subsided.
He had just been thinking of causing trouble for Lin Zhou, but now he realized that he was probably not even as good as Blood Wolf in front of Lin Zhou!
Fang Rui was so frightened that his legs went weak, and he subconsciously took two steps back.
He had previously planned to target Lin Zhou and steal the jade pendant, but now he realizes that he was simply courting death!
The worst off was Lu Zhizhou. He stood there, his face ashen, cold sweat streaming down his cheeks, barely daring to breathe.
His scheme to use someone else to do his dirty work seemed so ridiculous and foolish in the face of Lin Zhou's absolute strength!
He could even feel Lin Zhou's gaze sweep over him, a gaze that was calm and indifferent, yet it made him feel as if he had fallen into an ice cellar, and he didn't dare to move.
Lin Zhou didn't even glance at the shocked expressions on everyone's faces. His gaze fell on the frozen Netherworld Blood Wolf, and his fingertip tapped lightly again.
The faint wisp of innate energy within the Blood Wolf's body fluctuated slightly with its fear.
He had no interest in getting entangled with the wolf, nor in caring about the reactions of the others. All he wanted now was to obtain the innate energy and leave this troublesome place.
From the direction the Netherworld Blood Wolf fled, echoes of its unwilling roars still resounded.
The roar shook the branches and leaves of the ancient forest in the secret realm, and even the yellow sand of the distant plains was swept up and swirled in the air, as if it wanted to turn the entire secret realm upside down.
But the roar had lost its previous ferocity, leaving only a deep sense of fear.
It dared not turn back, much less approach Lin Zhou even a fraction of a second.
Lin Zhou didn't even lift his eyelids, only speaking calmly towards the direction of the Blood Wolf, his tone carrying a hint of casual warning:
"Little wolfhound, try barking again?"
"If you really annoy me, even if you escape to the end of the secret realm, I can still drag you back, kill you, and make soup from you."
These words, spoken lightly, were like a thunderclap, instantly silencing the roar of the Netherworld Blood Wolf.
The fleeing giant wolf suddenly stopped, its blood-red eyes quickly regaining some clarity.
It finally regained full consciousness. Its existence could be suppressed so easily; killing it would be as easy as crushing an ant.
If you dare to act recklessly again, you will only bring about your own death!
The next second, the Netherworld Blood Wolf's speed suddenly increased, and it dared not make a sound.
It quickly disappeared completely into the depths of the secret realm, leaving only a patch of grass stained with black mist as proof that it had been there.
Lin Zhou withdrew his gaze and finally looked at the crowd present. Huo Zheng stood frozen in place, his flames waning, not daring to even breathe.
Lu Zhizhou hung his head, the starlight at his fingertips had long since faded, and his face was ashen white.
Luo Yun Chu gripped the ice sword, her eyes filled with complex emotions—shock, awe, and a barely perceptible hint of curiosity.
Fang Rui and the Fang family cultivators huddled together, wishing they could hide in the ground, afraid that Lin Zhou would notice them.
"I'm looking for red and black jade pendants. Does anyone have any?" Lin Zhou's tone was calm, yet carried an undeniable air of authority. "If you have any, hand them over voluntarily, so I don't have to take action."
The crowd exchanged glances, but no one dared to speak. Huo Zheng held only the red jade pendant tightly in his hand, unsure whether to hand it over or not, his face flushed red with embarrassment.
The jade pendants in Fang Ruiluo Yun Chu's hands were not either of these two colors, so he could only shake his head helplessly.
Lin Zhou glanced at everyone's expressions and knew that no one was willing to hand it over.
Without saying much, he gently raised his right hand and made a grasping motion towards the crowd: "Since no one is going to pay, I'll take it myself."
The moment the words fell, everyone present felt their spiritual energy instantly locked away.
I can't even move a single finger!
Immediately afterwards, the storage bags at their waists or the jade pendants in their hands flew out uncontrollably, as if drawn by an invisible force, converging towards Lin Zhou's palm.
