Chapter 129: One Attack to Explain Everything

Chapter 129: One Attack to Explain Everything

"You kid..."

Grandpa Qi was so moved that tears welled up in his eyes. He choked up and helped the man up: "Come, grandpa will take you home."

The grandfather and grandson supported each other and returned home.

The next day, roosters crowed with a loud and piercing sound. The morning light shone all over the earth. The villagers who were carrying baskets on their backs went to the fields. Looking at the thriving rice not far away, they rubbed their eyes in disbelief and rushed forward without caring about the narrow road in the fields.

When they felt the heavy rice grains, they were sure of its authenticity...

In an instant, the villagers' eyes widened with tears of excitement. They hugged each other and cried. Some of them ran too fast and lost their balance, and rolled into the fields, covered in mud.

Even so, the joy was greater than the pain, and the corners of my mouth were almost cracked behind my ears due to excitement.

The rice fields are golden and heavy, and even fuller than before.

Bai Jiachun, who was halfway through his journey, was dragged into the fields. His feet were flying, especially on this narrow mountain road, where it was very easy for him to fall. If his old bones fell, he would never be able to get out of bed in his lifetime, so he gave many instructions to the people in front of him.

"Hey hey hey! Slow down, slow down. My old bones can't stand this kind of torture."

When they reached the destination, their hands were released. Bai Jiachun was so tired that he was out of breath. He supported his knees with his hands and complained angrily:

"You bastard, do you want to die of exhaustion..."

Before he could finish his words, he just looked up and saw patches of golden color coming into view. All the villagers had happy smiles on their faces, harvesting rice in the fields.

Bai Jiachun was stunned by the rice's last rays of life. He was so excited that he could hardly stand. He grabbed the young man who had dragged him here and spoke incoherently:

"I...I'm not so old that my eyesight is blurry!"

The young man showed his two rows of white teeth and said, "Village chief, it's true. Our rice has been revived."

Bai Jiachun couldn't help swallowing his saliva, staggered over, touched the plump rice grains, and burst into tears of excitement: "Okay, okay! Okay!"

Fearing that something unexpected might happen again, Bai Jiachun did not dare to delay for even a second and made arrangements in a hurry.

"Hurry up and lift the harvester. Time is running out. Harvest all the rice and wheat as soon as possible."

I was afraid this was a dream.

Because all the rice was destroyed, Bai Jiachun shed countless tears in the dead of night.

Perhaps God was moved by his sincerity, and made all the rice come back to life overnight, and they were even more abundant and heavier than before.

The villagers started the harvest in a hurry, not daring to delay for even a moment, for fear of any accidents. Most of the villagers did not go home for dinner, but asked their families to send food to the fields, and then they ate a few bites and continued to work hard.

This day was the busiest day in Qingyun Village. Everyone was exhausted and sweating profusely. No one dared to stop to catch a breath. It was not until dusk that they were able to relax and go home to rest.

Qi Man had been exhausted from overusing her supernatural powers yesterday and had to sleep all day.

Grandpa Qi cooked at home today. He simply fried a small dish, stir-fried carrots with meat, and added a soup.

Grandpa Qi can only cook some simple home-cooked dishes. He can't make those fancy and delicious home-cooked dishes that people usually make.

Qi Erya and Qi Dongchen were already starving, so they went home, washed their hands, and sat down to eat.

Everyone hadn't arrived yet, so the two of them didn't dare to move until Mr. Qi brought the meal over, then they spoke:

"Manman is still sleeping, let's eat first."

After I got home last night, Manman reminded me that I might sleep all day and there was no need to call her.

Otherwise, Mr. Qi would have called everyone to eat at noon.

When Qi Erya heard that her cousin was still sleeping, she didn't even bother to eat and asked with a worried look on her face:

"Cousin, are you feeling unwell? Why haven't you gotten up yet at this hour?"

According to my cousin's temperament, she is more punctual than anyone else when it comes to mealtime. It's really strange that she hasn't gotten up yet.

"Yes, Grandpa, how about asking Uncle Wei to come over and take a look at my sister? She hasn't gotten up all day, isn't there something wrong?"

Mr. Qi waved his hand casually and sat down: "No, eat your food. If anything really happens to Manman, I will be more anxious than you two."

The two looked at each other, and seeing that Mr. Qi looked very concerned, they felt relieved. They picked up their chopsticks and bowls and started to wolf down the rice.

They were really hungry after harvesting rice all day. They only had two or three bites for lunch, so they didn't care about their image when eating. They just wanted to fill their stomachs that had been empty all day.

As for my cousin/sister, if something really happened, grandpa would have gone to call for help long ago. He would not have had the mind to sit here so calmly.

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, they rested for a few minutes. Qi Erya went into the room to take a shower, while Qi Dongchen came in a little later.

There were only Grandpa Qi and Qi Dongchen in the huge yard. Grandpa Qi glanced at the closed bathroom door and stared at Qi Dongchen.

Qi Dongchen was a little frightened by his grandfather's stare. He swallowed his saliva and asked stutteringly: "Grandpa...Grandpa, what's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that!"

Mr. Qi narrowed his eyes slightly, and asked without stopping: "You and Erya..."

"Grandpa, there's nothing wrong between me and Erya."

Before Grandpa Qi finished speaking, Qi Dongchen stood up suddenly, his face flushed. Seeing that Grandpa didn't say anything, he explained incoherently:

"I really only treat Arya as my sister. How could I have any other thoughts? Am I worse than an animal?"

Old Master Qi still didn't speak, his eyes narrowed into slits, staring at Qi Dongchen.

Qi Dongchen suddenly lost his temper, his shoulders slumped, like a puppy caught in the rain, and his tone was weak:

"Well, Erya and I are in love with each other and have been dating secretly. I was afraid that Erya would be criticized and kicked out of the house by you and your sister, so I didn't dare to tell anyone."

He knelt down with a bang, groaning. Qi Dongchen's knee was severely injured, but he said nothing. He gritted his teeth and said:

"Grandpa, I'm a beast. I deserve to die. I had thoughts about my sister that I shouldn't have. But don't blame Erya for this. It's all my fault. If you don't agree, I will separate from Erya immediately and find a job outside. I won't come back if I can."

Qi Dongchen knew that grandpa and sister were the most important people to Erya. Even if he never got married, he wanted to be with them all the time.

As he spoke, he became more and more sad, and he slapped himself on the face one after another, making loud slapping sounds.

Mr. Qi frowned slightly: "I haven't said anything yet, but you just mentioned it. How come you told me everything?"
