Chapter 14 Star Island

Chapter 14 Star Island

Shen Chutang has been afraid of thunder and rain since he was a child. Whenever it rains, he becomes listless, timid, and feels particularly insecure.

The meeting lasted for more than an hour, and Shen Chutang slept soundly in his arms. After the meeting was over, he was reluctant to let go.

Shen Sichen had just finished a meeting and came to look for Shi Chengyu. He knocked on the door and walked in. "Chengyu, what about the Dongcheng project?"

"Why is Tang'er here?"

There was no time to stop it. The person in the arms woke up, looked towards the door, and hid under the blanket again.

"It's raining, Tangtang is a little scared." Shi Chengyu explained briefly.

Shen Sichen nodded, remembering that this was indeed the case. Looking at Shen Chutang who was much quieter than usual, he felt a little distressed. It would be better for a young girl to be more lively.

Shi Chengyu patted her back and put her down. "Be good, let auntie take you to wash up first, and then I'll have dinner with you later."

Shen Chutang walked out, wrapped in a blanket and wearing slippers, walking slowly. When he passed by Shen Sichen, he called him "Second Brother" and continued walking out.

Shi Chengyu watched Shen Chutang leave and rubbed his arm, "Second brother, Shen's company should not interfere with the Dongcheng project."

Shen Sichen was stunned for a moment, then he reacted and said with a smile: "Are you setting a trap?"

"But wouldn't it be too obvious if neither of our families participated?"

Shi Chengyu chuckled and signed the document, "No matter how obvious it is, someone will come in."

"Okay, then I'll wait and see." Shen Sichen looked at him and felt that this man was like a black-hearted fox. How could he be so cute when he was a child, but become like this when he grew up?

The rain fell intermittently all day long. Shen Chutang refused to leave his room and hid under the quilt reading a book. When the rain stopped in the afternoon, he went downstairs to the kitchen and baked a batch of biscuits.

It takes about an hour to travel from Beijing to Wuhua Mountain. It would be too troublesome to go back and forth every day. Shen Chutang thought he was going back today, so he baked a batch of biscuits for him to take away. However, Shi Chengyu ate up all the biscuits on the spot.

Shen Chutang looked at him blankly, and Shi Chengyu told her that he would not leave and would stay here with her.

Shen Chutang lived in Wuhua Mountain for half a month, and Shi Chengyu also lived there for half a month.

In the blink of an eye, it was August. Shi Chengyu still remembered the appointment to go to the beach with Shen Chutang. He got up early and played a few games with Shen Boyu as an atonement.

Shi Chengyu has been living here for nearly half a month. Shen Boyu had heard all kinds of things about him before, but now when he looked at this man, he couldn't help but like him a little. No matter what people said, business matters were business matters, but he couldn't find any fault with Tangtang.

Shen Chutang reluctantly said goodbye to Shen Boyu and got in the car. The car went down the mountain, but did not go back to Lanjiangting. Instead, it went directly to the airport, where a private plane that had been arranged in advance was waiting.

Before she could react, she was already on the plane. She stared at Shi Chengyu blankly and asked, "Where are we going? Aren't we going home?"

Shi Chengyu rubbed her head with amusement, "Didn't I promise you that we would go to the beach?"

Shen Chutang's eyes lit up instantly, "So sudden? Where are you going?"

"Star Island."

Star-Watching Island, this name was given by Shen Chutang, is a small island. It was a birthday present given to Shen Chutang by Chengyu when she was ten years old. She had only been there once before.

Shen Chutang asked: "Why did you suddenly think of going there?"

"Someone on the island renovated it. I'll take you to see it."

This flight took about five hours. Shi Chengyu put the blanket on her legs and asked, "Do you want to go to the lounge to sleep?"

I got up earlier than usual in the morning and hurried on my way. It was indeed time for a nap.

Shen Chutang shook his head, "No, I'll sleep here." Then he took off his shoes, got on the sofa, and used a pillow as a pillow.

"Okay, then I'll ask someone to bring the bed and quilt over." Shi Chengyu looked at her obediently and pinched her cheek.

The five-hour flight was neither long nor short. Shen Chutang took a nap and when he woke up he found himself in bed.

Draw open the curtains, and outside is the white sandy beach and the endless blue sea, which is connected to the deep blue night sky in the distance. The sea and the sky are the same color, the waves are white, and the stars in the sky are also bright, reflecting each other. The waves hit the beach, creating bursts of blue fluorescence.

Even before opening the window, I can already smell the salty sea breeze.

"Miss, are you awake?" The servant knocked on the door outside.

Shen Chutang put on her shoes and opened the door. It was a blond-haired grandmother. "Where's Brother Chengyu?"

"Mr. Shi is in a meeting. He said you've woken up and asked me to take you there."

Shen Chutang nodded and followed her, went downstairs to the study, and walked in on tiptoe. As soon as his meeting was over, he rushed over, "Brother Chengyu."

Shi Chengyu was afraid that she would fall, so he quickly hugged her and asked, "Are you happy?"

"Uh-huh!"

"There are blue tears!" Shen Chutang looked at him in surprise, his eyes sparkling.

Shi Chengyu only thought that these eyes were much more beautiful than the stars. "Well, as long as you like it."

Logically speaking, now is not the season for blue tears, and no one knows how Shi Chengyu managed to turn this sea into a blue fluorescent sea.

Life on the island was even more dull than in the villa, with no one to disturb them. When Shi Chengyu was in a meeting, Shen Chutang would read a book or play with her tablet beside him. When Shen Chutang was picking shells on the beach, Shi Chengyu would follow her with a small bucket.

Two weeks passed and it was time to go back because Shen Chutang's birthday was coming.

I was jet-lagged on the first night after returning home, and Xie Tong came to my house the next day.

"You are so bad, Tangtang. You are nowhere to be found during the holidays!" Xie Tong rubbed her face angrily, "You are so slow to reply when I message you. Why don't you reply once every six months?"

Shen Chutang begged for mercy, "I'm wrong, I'm wrong, aunt, I brought you a gift."

After hearing that there was a gift, Xie Tong let go of his hand and complained, "I'm so bored at home. You don't even know my dad. It's so annoying."

Shen Chutang went to get the things he had prepared in advance and introduced them one by one: "This apricot preserve was made by me at my grandfather's place. I left a can for you. And these dried fish were baked by the chef on the island. They are all delicious."

Xie Tong gave her a big hug and said, "Ah, Tangtang, I knew you were the best."

"Someone just called me a bad guy." Shen Chutang rubbed his face, his fair cheeks flushed slightly.

"It's fake, it's an illusion, you heard it wrong." Xie Tong leaned on the sofa, eating a box of apricots, smiling brightly, "Tangtang, you don't know that I'm almost moldy at home. If you don't come back, I will turn into a pile of mold."

Shen Chutang was amused by her and patted her head soothingly, "It's okay, I'm back now, and school is about to start, so you won't be bored anymore."

"You are so nice." Xie Tong came over and hugged her neck, "Tangtang, let's go shopping. Your birthday is coming soon, I will pick out a birthday present for you!"
