Chapter 8 I Miss You a Little

Chapter 8 I Miss You a Little

The first shareholders' meeting since Shi Chengyu took power cannot be postponed.

The huge conference room was silent and solemn. The young leader had a look of impatience and intimidation that made everyone hold their breath.

The meeting finally ended. Shi Chengyu picked up his phone and strode out of the meeting room. Lin Shulang was waiting at the door. When he saw him coming out, he hurried forward and said, "Mr. Shi, Miss Shen has gone home. She probably didn't take her phone with her."

Shi Chengyu was about to make a phone call when he paused and stayed on the chat page for a while. There was a message he had sent but received no reply.

"Let's go back first."

On the way back, Shi Chengyu leaned on the back seat, a rare look of fatigue on his face, and rubbed his eyebrows with one hand.

The car stopped downstairs of the villa. Shi Chengyu got out and walked inside. Before he saw anyone coming out to greet him, he realized that Shen Chutang was not there today.

The villa, as usual, suddenly became empty.

Shi Chengyu took off his suit and threw it on the sofa, then turned and walked out.

The villas of Shen Shi's family are about two or three hundred meters apart. He came back late today, the afterglow of the setting sun was a little dim, and the moon was about to rise.

Shi Chengyu walked in with big strides. Uncle Wen opened the door for him and said respectfully, "Mr. Shi."

"Where's Tangtang?" Shi Chengyu asked as he kept walking inside.

"The Third Young Master is back. He played games with the young lady for a while in the afternoon. He must be tired and is now asleep."

Shen Chutang is the fourth child in the family. When she was little, the nanny and housekeeper at home called her the Fourth Miss. It happened that she was not in good health at that time, and Shi Chengyu felt that it was not nice and auspicious to call her that, so from then on, he changed the name and just called her Little Miss.

"I'll go see her."

Shi Chengyu said calmly, and just as he was about to step onto the stairs, the elevator next to him rang, and Shen Chutang came out rubbing his eyes.

When Shen Chutang saw Shi Chengyu, he was stunned at first, thinking that he was hallucinating. After confirming that it was not an illusion, he walked over and hugged him, calling in a soft voice: "Brother Chengyu."

Shi Chengyu picked him up and asked, "Why aren't you wearing shoes?"

Knowing that she didn't like to wear shoes, both houses had thick carpets on their floors and they were swept every day. However, Shi Chengyu was still afraid that she would accidentally fall or get hurt, so he seldom let her walk barefoot.

Shen Chutang's hair was messy after sleeping, some on her shoulders and some on her face. Shi Chengyu tidied her hair up little by little and carried her to the sofa.

"I want to drink some water." Shen Chutang was half asleep and half awake, lying lazily in his arms, complaining in a low voice: "You came back so late today."

Shi Chengyu took the cup of water from the servant and handed it to her lips, "I had a meeting today."

After drinking the water, Shen Chutang felt more energetic. She sat up and hugged his neck, "Brother Chengyu, I missed you a little today."

Shi Chengyu laughed softly, "I miss you, too."

Shen Chutang imitated him, touching his head with her hands, and then holding his face to play some tricks, but she saw the dark circles under his eyes and frowned, "Brother Chengyu! You didn't sleep well!"

The succession of power in a generation of business groups always requires a lot of things to be dealt with. These days I have been coaxing people to sleep before going to the study to deal with them. I didn't expect to be discovered like this.

Shi Chengyu wanted to raise his hand to rub his eyes, but Shen Chutang's hand was already there before him, rubbing gently, and said angrily: "You promised me to have a good rest."

"You don't keep your word! If you do it again, I won't bother with you anymore!"

This kind of weak "threat" can always have the power to take advantage of someone.

"My dear Tangtang, I was wrong." Shi Chengyu held her hand and took it away, holding her in his arms and smelling her fragrance.

The light, sweet, floral and fruity aroma always makes people feel at ease and relaxed.

"Good boy Tangtang, let me hold you for a while. I won't be tired after a while." Shi Chengyu held the person tightly, and Shen Chutang reached out and stroked the back of his neck.

"Brother Chengyu, you have to sleep well."

"Um."

"Eat your meal properly, and don't always pick it up for me."

"Um."

At this point, Shen Chutang suddenly remembered something, raised his head, and asked seriously: "Did you have dinner today?"

"I ate it." Shi Chengyu answered seriously. Seeing Shen Chutang's half-believing and half-doubting expression, he added, "Shu Lang ordered the meal at Yaxuan. If Tangtang doesn't believe it, you can ask him tomorrow."

Shen Chutang reluctantly believed it and leaned back on his shoulder, "Brother Chengyu is not going home tonight?"

"I can't go back. Tangtang, can you take me in for a night?" Shi Chengyu asked with a smile, touching the soft hair on her back.

"Then I'll take you in. Will you sleep well?" Shen Chutang raised her head and asked him, holding his face with both hands and making him look directly into her eyes.

Shi Chengyu laughed and nodded slowly, "Go to sleep obediently."

Shen Chutang was happy and kissed him on the forehead, "Then let's go upstairs."

The heartbeat actually stopped for a moment, then started again with a loud, dull sound.

Shi Chengyu picked him up and said, "Okay, Tangtang, be good too."

The two families reserved a room for each other. Sometimes when they were tired from playing, they would just go to bed directly. The room was also cleaned every day.

Shi Chengyu first sent Shen Chutang back to her room, asked her how many days she would stay at home and when she would go back, and then asked her when she would go to her grandfather's house, and finally coaxed her to sleep.

She tiptoed out of the room, closed the door, turned around and saw Shen Sujing standing at the stairs.

"Brother Chengyu?" Shen Sujing called out suspiciously.

Shi Chengyu responded briefly, saying, "Tangtang is asleep."

Then I asked him, "Is the crew not busy anymore?"

Shen Sujing nodded, "I don't have many roles to play this time, I'll be back in a few days."

"Ask Shulang to find you some notebooks in a couple of days."

Shi Chengyu left this sentence inexplicably, walked past Shen Sujing and went downstairs.

Shen Sujing scratched his head in confusion. What does this mean?

At that time, both Shen and Shen had entertainment companies under their control. Shen Sujing did not think of starting his own business alone. What difference does it make if he has the resources? He just wanted to do it steadily and steadily. Was he rejected for being too slow?

Shi Chengyu said that two days later, Shen Sujing received a call from his agent the next day saying that the crew had added more roles for him, and he suddenly had several big-budget scripts and a variety show on his hands, which guaranteed that he would be busy this summer vacation.

Shen Sujing: ...I don’t really want to be busy.

In the afternoon, Shen Sujing was urged to return to the crew.

Shen Chutang pursed her lips unhappily and sent him to the car in a gloomy mood.

"Okay, I'll be back next week when I visit grandpa." Shen Sujing rubbed her head. It was furry like a kitten's head and felt very good. No wonder Brother Chengyu liked to touch it so much.

"Be good these few days, eat well and eat less cold food."

The originally reluctant atmosphere was broken. Shen Chutang took his hand away and pushed him into the car. "I know, I know. Go ahead."

Shen Sujing smiled helplessly, "Okay, okay, let's go."

Shen Chutang smiled and waved at him. After the car door closed, she turned around and went back to the villa.
