Chapter 121 Zombie Siege (14) - Player Rescue

Chapter 121 Zombie Siege (14) - Player Rescue

Cheng Chuan wasn't actually a saint; he told them to hide because he was worried they would interfere with his mission.

He naturally had no idea what others thought of him, and he didn't care anyway.

When the two were going up the escalator to the fourth floor, they found that there was a table or something blocking the end of the escalator.

The zombies nowadays don't know how to go downstairs to find targets; they only look for prey near their current location.

Cheng Chuan first lifted Ning Shu onto the table, then flipped the table over himself and lifted Ning Shu down.

Ning Shu's skills are so great that she can even climb to the ceiling, so a mere table can't possibly stop her. However, since someone is willing to take care of her, she naturally has to pretend to be weak.

A girl who can open someone's skull can also be unable to open a bottle cap, especially in front of someone she likes.

When Cheng Chuan held her, Ning Shu felt a sweet warmth in her heart. Oh, if only they weren't on a mission right now.

The next second, the zombies came running, drawn by the scent. Their pent-up appetites, suppressed for so long, drove them mad, instantly extinguishing Ning Shu's romantic thoughts.

Ning Shu channeled his anger into power, unleashing a barrage of attacks with his skills.

The mall's facade is made of glass, allowing light to filter through during the day.

From a location where the curtain wall is visible, they can see what's inside without a flashlight.

But only in these places is there light; further in, the light dims or even disappears.

Of course, you can't see clearly with this little light; you still need a flashlight to see clearly, just like on the 3rd floor.

As the NPC said, there are a lot of zombies here, perhaps because there are many restaurants, and it probably happened during mealtime.

Ning Shu felt that he had killed no less than 200 or 300 people, and it seemed that they were coming from other places.

This shopping mall is huge!

Ning Shu's first thought was to regret her recklessness, and she wondered what Cheng Chuan was thinking.

Cheng Chuan was thinking about another problem at this moment. He found that the more he used Ning Shu's skills, the more energy he had to expend.

This seems to have nothing to do with zombie evolution; it's simply due to the use of skills.

To verify this, he first switched to his own skill and found it still quite difficult. Then he took off the bracelet Ning Shu had given him and used his own skill again.

The comparison revealed that he expended less energy after removing the bracelet, making him more effective at killing enemies.

Ning Shu felt the same way; she found herself suddenly much more relaxed, though she didn't know why.

Soon, she found out why: she discovered that she could no longer use Cheng Chuan's skills.

Ning Shu: "Cheng Chuan, did you lose your bracelet?"

Since her bracelet was still on her wrist, it could only be that his had fallen off.

Cheng Chuan: "It didn't fall off, I took it off. After we share it, it will take more energy. Do you feel better now?"

Ning Shu was taken aback, then realized: "Yes, I understand."

Then they stopped talking and focused on task 2.

However, they overestimated their abilities. As more and more zombies approached and their energy was constantly being depleted, they gradually began to feel powerless.

Cheng Chuan felt they should retreat, otherwise it would be difficult to leave, but coming here was easy and leaving would be difficult.

When they tried to get out, they found themselves surrounded by zombies.

Cheng Chuan: "There are an absurd number of zombies here."

Ning Shu agreed, "Is this the size a shopping mall should have? Even during mealtimes, this quantity is excessive."

Just as the two were about to be overwhelmed by zombies, they suddenly heard a crisp voice.

"Brother and sister, you better stay out of the way, I'll clear a path for you!"

Before Ning Shu and Cheng Chuan could even realize whether the words were directed at them, they heard a sudden loud bang beside them.

"Bang bang bang!"

After three loud explosions, half of the zombies around me lay down, their limbs flying everywhere.

Ning Shu and Cheng Chuan were so engrossed in their battle that they were nearly blown away by the blast, as were other zombies who hadn't been killed.

Seeing the bloody path blasted open ahead, Ning Shu pulled Cheng Chuan away from the encirclement.

Holding hands with someone you like is supposed to be a beautiful thing, but unfortunately, due to overuse of her skills, Ning Shu's hands now only feel disgustingly poopy, completely devoid of any romantic thoughts.

Ning Shu and Cheng Chuan broke through the encirclement, and for a moment they didn't know where to go.

Ning Shuxin thought she should go back to the 3rd floor, but as soon as she turned around, she heard the crisp female voice from before behind her.

"Brother and sister, over here."

Without hesitation, the two of them figured that the other person was willing to save them, so they couldn't be bad people. They turned around and headed towards the source of the sound.

"Here, here."

Ning Shu could see the outline of a girl by the light from the curtain wall. She was waving at them, but her face was not clear.

But she noticed the number above the other person's head; it turned out to be a player.

Upon getting closer, I discovered that behind the girl was a door, a steel fire door.

The door was open at that moment, and the girl let them in. As soon as they entered, the girl couldn't wait to close and lock the door.

This type of fire door has a glass observation window that allows you to see outside and let in a little light.

Behind this door is a passageway, which is not close to the curtain wall, so it is very dark inside.

After Ning Shu entered, she looked outside through the observation window and found that many zombies had followed her, but they couldn't get in and were just howling outside the door.

Ning Shu saw that there was a metal device attached to each side of the fire door, and a metal rod that looked like a square wooden stick was placed horizontally between the two devices.

At first glance, it looks just like the wooden bolt locks on the gates of ancient buildings; at least structurally, they are similar.

This lock gave Ning Shu a great sense of security; she felt that the zombies wouldn't be able to get in anytime soon.

Suddenly a light shone inside—the light of a flashlight—and the girl was holding the flashlight.

Ning Shu knew the other person was a player, so she wasn't surprised at all that the other person had the same flashlight as her.

“Come with me. They won’t leave unless you stay far from the door.” The girl waved to them, gesturing for them to follow her.

Cheng Chuan looked at Ning Shu, who nodded, and the two silently followed behind the girl.

Using the light, Ning Shu could see where they were.

There was another fire door opposite the main entrance they came in through, and that one was also locked.

Between the two doors is a walkway, and in the middle of that walkway is another walkway, forming a "T" shape.

They walked into the middle corridor. This design was familiar. If Ning Shu wasn't mistaken, the end of this corridor should be the restroom.

Unfortunately, they didn't reach the end; the girl stopped.
