Chapter 156 Escaping the Castle (9) - Finding the Password

Chapter 156 Escaping the Castle (9) - Finding the Password

Si Zhongyue felt increasingly speechless; what kind of luck could possibly lead to such a thing?

Also, after being resurrected, why does he keep running into that person?

The other party was somewhat frightening, not because of their abilities, but because they couldn't control the skill.

It's like a comrade driving a tank who can't aim at the enemy and fires at his own men—that's terrifying.

The monster in front of us wasn't too difficult to deal with, but it was impossible to kill, probably due to the dungeon's design.

Si Zhong felt that it was fine for him to take charge of the monster, so he went with the others.

His help did give the others enough time to look for things.

Ning Shu and the other two jumped around the castle and finally found the safe in an empty room. The location was obvious and there was no intention of hiding it.

Ning Shu was speechless. If she had known it was placed here so openly, she wouldn't have touched it everywhere in the first place.

Ning Shu had no idea how long it had been since anyone had cleaned this place. Her hands were covered in dust, and she disgustedly wiped the dust off her clothes.

Well, she's not very hygienic anymore. It's normal for her not to shower for days in the dungeon. She's long since become numb to it.

Ning Shu was in charge of keeping watch. Although Si Zhong was fighting fiercely with the monster, what if he lost? Even if he didn't lose, what if he had a fit of madness and betrayed them?

Cheng Chuan was fiddling with the safe, trying to open it to take something out, but as soon as he touched it, it prompted him to enter a password.

He looked up at Ning Shu: "It won't open; it says it requires a password."

Ning Shu knew this would happen; things that are easily found in dungeons are usually not easy to obtain.

"Does it give any hints about what it might be?" We can't just let them rummage around like headless flies.

Cheng Chuan fumbled around in the safe again: "Let me look around." After a while, he looked up again: "Something's strange."

Upon hearing this, Ning Shu said, "Wait a minute."

While they were searching this area, Wu Yi ran to the next room, and Ning Shu called him back to keep watch for him.

She squatted down and examined the safe with Cheng Chuan, and also saw the strange thing Cheng Chuan had mentioned.

This safe didn't have a 10-digit password; instead, it had a small, elongated LCD screen with only a "Confirm" button at the bottom.

The LCD screen now displays the words "Working normally". Ning Shu touched the LCD screen, but there was no change.

I pressed the "Confirm" button again, and the text on the LCD screen changed to "Please enter the password".

This is outrageous! Did you even give me a place to enter my password? You bastard.

Ning Shu patted the safe in annoyance, venting her anger.

Cheng Chuan glanced at Ning Shu with some surprise. He remembered that Ning Shu used to be quite gentle. Could it be that the game changed her?

If Ning Shu knew what he was thinking, she would definitely want to burst out laughing.

She's gentle? That's his illusion. She acted gentle in front of him because she had a crush on him when they were in school, but it was all a facade.

When a girl wants to pursue a boy, she pretends to be something she's not, first deceiving him until she gets him and then revealing her true colors. However, the only difference between Ning Shu and this approach is that she didn't succeed in winning him over.

Now, in this survival game, she can't pretend even if she wants to, so she simply gives up—it's exhausting.

Ning Shu squatted down and brainstormed for a while: "It must have a password input device, like some kind of instrument, that you can get close to and decode it."

Cheng Chuan raised an eyebrow: "How did you know?"

Ning Shu coughed twice, embarrassed, "That's what the movie said."

Movies? How can you answer questions about matters of life and death with movies?

Cheng Chuan looked at Ning Shu speechlessly. He turned his head, intending to ask Wu Yi for his opinion.

But considering Wu Yi's limited intelligence, he probably wouldn't even have the answer to the movie, so I decided to give up.

Did the movie tell you how to find this instrument?

As soon as the words left his mouth, Cheng Chuan wanted to slap himself twice. How could he have asked such a stupid question!

A moment of silence...

Ning Shu thought that Cheng Chuan would laugh at her answer, but she didn't expect that the other party would ask her so seriously.

They're so compatible! They're a match made in heaven! No wonder he's the man I love.

Ning Shu's eyes lit up when she looked at Cheng Chuan.

Cheng Chuan felt a little embarrassed by the stares. He was about to say something when he heard Wu Yi shout, "They've reached this side!"

Ning Shu stood up and went to the doorway to look; indeed, the fighting had reached this side.

To prevent them from causing trouble here, Ning Shu shouted to Si Zhong, "Teammate, we found the safe, but it requires a password. We need to go find it. Tell it not to come near here."

Si Zhong listened but ignored her.

If it weren't for the fact that they almost tore down the wall over there, he wouldn't have wanted to spread the battlefield here. However, he listened to their advice and lured the monsters in another direction.

Ning Shu watched his actions and knew he had taken it to heart. As long as he took it to heart, it didn't matter if his attitude was bad.

She returned to the room and said to Cheng Chuan and Wu Yi, "Let's split up and look for things. My guess may not be right, but it's true that there are no clues in this house. Let's see if there are any elsewhere."

After saying that, she glanced at the countdown timer: there were still more than two hours left, and time was running out.

"Let's split up and search." With that, she picked a direction and ran off.

Ning Shu stopped as she passed the living room, which was smashed to pieces. The interior walls were completely destroyed, but the exterior walls were intact.

She had originally thought that if she could break through the outer wall and leave the castle, given the condition of the inner wall, the game wouldn't let them take advantage of that.

But what did she see? She rubbed her eyes uncertainly.

Was there originally this iron fence in the living room? It makes it look like a prison.

If it was there just now, why didn't she notice it when she passed by? The key point is, if it was there, why is it intact while the wall is broken?

Because the inner wall was smashed, Ning Shu could crawl through the hole into the iron fence and search around inside using the light of her flashlight.

Apart from broken furniture and broken wall stones, I found nothing. So what was the purpose of this iron fence? I couldn't figure it out.

Ning Shu felt she had wasted some time here, and felt a bit heartbroken. "What the hell?" she complained about the game, and continued searching for the next place.

After searching several rooms without finding anything, well, actually I did find some, but some rooms had extra iron railings.

She was certain that the iron fences had appeared suddenly and hadn't been there before, because she had been inside some of the rooms.

When Ning Shu passed by the kitchen again, she stopped. She remembered that there was a very small hole next to the stove, very small, as if it was for cats and dogs to go in and out.

She hadn't been curious about the purpose of the hole when she was searching before, since it couldn't fit a safe, but now she was.
