Chapter 26 Dark Paradise (4) - The Deathly Roller Coaster
They continued along the originally planned route, and Ning Shu felt that this game was even more insidious than she had imagined.
She originally thought that as long as they could find the right way to pass the level, everything would be fine, but she didn't expect that they would also have to guard against other players.
She was actually grateful to have two teammates; otherwise, if it were just her alone, she probably would have fallen into someone else's trap long ago and become a stepping stone for them to pass the test.
The third attraction was called "Deadly Roller Coaster." Having experienced the "Thrilling Giant Swing" ride earlier, they found the name surprisingly normal.
When they arrived, some people were already riding it, and the roller coaster roared past right in front of them.
There were no screams, but they saw something fall from above, though they couldn't make out what it was.
Ning Shu felt water droplets falling on her face.
Is it raining?
She reached up and touched her face, then looked at her hand—holy crap! It was blood! Blood was falling from the sky?!
"you……"
Ning Shucai fell silent as soon as she spoke, because she noticed that Cheng Chuan and Wu Yi's faces were also covered in bloodstains, but they seemed oblivious and showed no reaction whatsoever.
"Holy crap, what happened to your face? Are you injured?" Wu Yi couldn't help but exclaim when he saw Ning Shu's face.
"..." Ning Shu knew that her face must have been smeared from touching it just now.
But Wu Yi acted as if it had nothing to do with her, which left her speechless. "You have it on your face too."
"What? I'm injured too? When did this happen?" Wu Yi quickly touched his face, but he didn't feel any discomfort.
Cheng Chuan: "It must have fallen from above. I suspect that what we just saw... were body parts."
"..."
"..."
Although I know this is a gaming addict, what's with giving them a "baptism of blood" as soon as they arrive?
Since no one had tissues on them, they used their clothes to wipe their faces.
Ning Shu said to Cheng Chuan, "We can't see what's going on from this position. Should we move to another spot?"
If the tourists at their current location have already had an accident, then they need to go and see how the accident happened.
Cheng Chuan nodded, and the three of them walked along the outer circle of the roller coaster, keeping an eye on the roller coaster above them as they walked. Every time a car passed by, they would stop to watch, and then continue walking after the car had passed.
"Ahhhhh~"
Screams echoed throughout this section, but they couldn't see anything; many trees obscured the roller coaster tracks.
They only heard screams and couldn't see what was happening at all. Besides, this place was different from the pendulum ride and slide.
The previous two rides had high-wattage spotlights all around, making it feel like daytime, but this roller coaster was almost completely dark except for a few dim decorative lights in some places.
In such an environment, even the tourists themselves might not know how they died.
Why are they making such a fuss about a roller coaster, preventing people from even seeing it?
I should get night vision goggles, but I don't have the money. No, I don't have the points. Even a matchbox costs 2 points.
Ning Shu thought to herself, "This is what I'm complaining about."
They walked around the circle, and after walking around, they saw nothing except for hearing screams in a few places.
This game is so unfair! They won't even let players scout out the game in advance?
Wu Yi also sensed that things might be going wrong and asked worriedly, "What do we do next?"
Cheng Chuan: "Let's keep going. Since there's no time limit, let's not rush to try. Let's figure out the situation first."
The fourth activity was called "Fun Bumper Cars." After observing it for a while, they felt there was no danger, just a bit of embarrassment.
Perhaps because of the word "romance," they actually required that two people in the same car, regardless of gender, either hug or kiss when they heard the corresponding instructions.
You are free to play when there are no instructions, but you may encounter instructions a varying number of times throughout the project.
Of all the projects they've seen, this one is practically a free win; they just don't know what the game's purpose was in including such a strange project.
Ning Shu and Cheng Chuan didn't react much, but Wu Yi seemed preoccupied.
He assumed Ning Shu was definitely in a group with Cheng Chuan, which meant he was alone.
He'll most likely be paired with a stranger, and honestly, he's a little uncomfortable with that.
Even if the other person is a stunning beauty, he wouldn't dare. What if she's a pervert? He's a pure and innocent young man, after all.
Ning Shu and Cheng Chuan were unaware of Wu Yi's thoughts; otherwise, they would have certainly looked down on him.
The fifth project has a rather unusual name; it's called "Rotating Real Horse."
Does that mean the horses on that rotating platform aren't rocking horses, but real horses?
This didn't seem too difficult, but when they saw the full view of this "rotating real horse," they all fell silent.
This field must be about half the size of a football field. There's no rotating platform at all; it's just a patch of green grass.
The ground level of the entire project was lower than where they were standing, estimated to be about one floor deep.
The lights were quite bright; they all felt they were a bit too bright, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to see the tourists' miserable state so clearly.
Those horses were real; they were running clockwise in several concentric circles of different sizes.
The number of horses in the small and large circles is variable, with fewer horses in the small circle and more horses in the large circle.
They all ran very fast within their own circles, perhaps too fast, and occasionally some people were thrown off their horses.
There are two possible outcomes for those who are thrown out.
One possibility is that they will be thrown onto the grass and trampled into a pulp by the horses behind or beside them.
Secondly, it was directly "slapped" onto the wall outside the lawn, leaving only a bloody, mangled human-shaped mass of flesh.
The second scenario only occurs on the outermost ring, because only the outermost ring is close to a wall.
I don't know if it was for visual effect, but the outermost wall was white, which made the bloodstains stand out even more.
Ning Shu felt a bit nauseous; these projects were all incredibly bizarre.
Suddenly she saw a dark figure being thrown out from the outermost circle of the running track. Before she could see it clearly, the dark figure "darted" back into the horse pen.
Was she seeing things? Ning Shu rubbed her eyes and stared intently.
Soon, the dark figure reappeared, and then she saw it.
The dark figure, like Spider-Man, stepped onto the white wall, paused for a few seconds, and then "darted" back into the stable.
Did this person use the wall as leverage to get back on the horse after being thrown out?
The dark figure's clothes looked familiar; it seemed to be the man in the windbreaker they hadn't managed to intercept earlier.
Is this guy really that strong?
Ning Shu guessed that the other person was an experienced player. At that speed, others would have been smashed into mincemeat, but he was able to go in and out twice!
