Chapter 313 Magic Academy (16) - Searching for the Dragon

Chapter 313 Magic Academy (16) - Searching for the Dragon

"Want to eat rabbit? I'll go catch some for you," Si Zhong asked Ning Shu.

Ning Shu glanced at Si Zhong and said, "I've already eaten."

Although rabbit meat obviously tastes better than compressed rations, she didn't have that much of an appetite.

Si Zhong imagined Ning Shu's unspoken meaning: Ning Shu meant that she was full now and would consider eating rabbit for the next meal.

It was already evening, and the sun had set after dinner.

They could only rest here for one night. Ning Shu and Si Zhong rested against the same tree trunk, while the others each leaned against a separate tree.

Si Zhong asked Ning Shu, "Do you want to lean on my shoulder to sleep?"

Ning Shu thought for a moment and realized that such a gesture was too intimate, so she directly refused: "No need, I can manage on my own."

Si Zhong thought Ning Shu was uncomfortable, so he took out a sleeping bag from his spatial storage and handed it to Ning Shu: "Use this. It's safe to sleep next to me."

Ning Shu's eyes lit up: "Okay, okay, thank you."

She wouldn't refuse Si Zhong's kindness; after all, she'd be a fool to refuse after spending several days outdoors in the elements.

Xingchen looked at Ning Shumei lying comfortably in her sleeping bag and felt truly envious. At the same time, she gained a deeper understanding of Si Zhong's strength.

His space isn't very big; it's barely enough to hold food, and even if there were extra space, he generally wouldn't consider putting in a sleeping bag.

The space required to store non-survival necessities must be quite large, and players who can afford such a large space are certainly not to be underestimated.

Owen and Judy were even more puzzled. It seemed like Si Zhong was performing magic, and some of the things he could do were things that magic couldn't even do.

A sleeping bag can actually fit two people. If it were a regular camping trip, Si Zhong would definitely not miss the opportunity to sleep with Ning Shu.

But now they're in a dungeon, still on a mission, and there are some principles that can't be broken, because they're fatal.

He needed to stay by Ning Shu's side, at least to ensure that he could respond immediately to any unexpected events.

It was Christmas Eve, and they got up very early the next day. After eating something, they rode their brooms and used the "flying spell" to continue their journey.

After flying for another 3 hours, they arrived at the Tatar Mountains.

The mountain range is vast, and Judy could only get here by following the map; she had no way of pinpointing the dragon's location.

Judy apologized to everyone, feeling embarrassed: "I'm sorry, this is the last place I can take you."

Owen looked at Ning Shu: "It's time for the fortune teller to get to work."

Ning Shu took out the crystal ball and textbooks again and began her antics in front of everyone. Owen and the others had already seen it before, so they remained calm.

They wondered why Si Zhong could remain so calm; for someone as outstanding as him, Ning Shu's actions were tantamount to suicide.

They didn't know, and they dared not ask.

This was indeed the first time Si Zhong had seen Ning Shu do something like this. He could understand it because he knew that Ning Shu spent most of his time practicing the magic of the Phoenix Academy.

The crystal ball finally showed the image, which was no different from the last time. All that could be seen was that the dragon and the soldiers were fighting, but the exact location was unknown.

Owen was a little annoyed, thinking Ning Shu was really useless: "Let's split up and search. The Tatar Mountains are only so big, it shouldn't be hard to find."

Judy was a little uneasy. Her magic was healing, not combat, so she could only serve as a support. But she couldn't argue with Owen.

Xingchen said directly, "Why don't we just ask a soldier from the Kingdom of Baal? They'll definitely know."

That's true, but if they can't even find the dragon, which is so big, how can they possibly find such a small person as a soldier?

While they were having a heated discussion, Ning Shu asked Lord Ping for help, and Lord Ping was very accommodating and quickly gave her a hint.

Ning Shu saw a huge arrow floating in the air, pointing in a certain direction, and she spoke:

"Let's not separate. In this group, only the members of the Phoenix Academy have combat ability. The others are all support types. It would be troublesome if something happened."

Owen chuckled: "If a support character encounters danger, it's best to be able to save themselves. Others don't have time to save others, especially in front of a dragon."

Owen's words were directed at Ning Shu, but Ning Shu was unaware of this, since she didn't consider herself a support character; she was "very good at fighting."

She thought Owen's words made a lot of sense, and stole a glance at Judy and Xingchen.

Surprisingly, he agreed with Irving's words: "You're right, but if you can lend a hand, you should, since he's your teammate."

Owen never expected Ning Shu to say such a thing, and he thought she was shameless.

Si Zhong and Xing Chen realized that Owen's words were directed at Ning Shu. Si Zhong's expression turned somewhat unfriendly, while Xing Chen's expression remained unchanged.

Judy blushed slightly, thinking that Owen was referring to her, but she was also grateful to Ning Shu for speaking up for the underdog.

After Ning Shu finished speaking, he pointed in the direction of the arrow and said, "Let's go this way, towards the Demon Dragon."

Everyone was taken aback. Owen, not quite believing Ning Shu, scoffed, "How did you know?"

Ning Shu thought for a moment, not wanting to reveal Lord Ping's identity: "The prophecy magic told me."

Irving snorted: "Why didn't I tell you before?"

Ning Shu pretended to be mysterious: "I guess it couldn't give me a hint before the time was right. You don't know, prophecy magic has many limitations."

They didn't know either; besides following Ning Shu, they didn't know where else to go.

In the end, they followed Ning Shu on broomsticks. After walking for a while, Si Zhong suddenly spoke up: "Armor for protection!"

Ning Shu and Xing Chen reacted quickly; after all, players are generally well-mannered, and they immediately activated their armor protection magic.

Irving reacted quickly, while Judy was a bit slower, but she still managed to catch up.

Protective magic is something that almost any student who has studied for three years can do, but most players learn it on their own.

Just as the five men were ready, they discovered that numerous arrows were coming from the ground toward them, but they landed without causing any harm.

Ning Shu looked down and saw that it was soldiers from the Holy Radiance Kingdom shooting arrows at them. Those soldiers must have realized that they were Baal's mages.

Owen and Judy were both hesitant. Their mission was to deal with the dragon, and they were wondering whether to attack or ignore the soldiers they encountered.

Xingchen didn't want to get involved, after all, he only had the mission in mind and didn't want to cause any trouble.

But Ning Shu didn't care; she believed that dealing with the Demon Dragon was the same as dealing with Holy Radiance.

Holding her magic wand, she unleashed a magical attack on the Holy Radiance soldiers below—"Divine Sharpness Shadowless Spell," a spell that would damage the opponent but not kill them.

Owen and Judy were shocked to see Ning Shu use an offensive spell on the enemy.

Owen was shocked that Ning Shu could use Fengyuan's magic, while Judy was shocked that a divination magician could kill enemies.
