Chapter 327 Escape Plan (7) - Going to Find Cheng Chuan
Li Mengqi scolded, "All you ever do is eat! Luckily I cooked a lot, otherwise it wouldn't have been enough for you to gobble up."
Wu Yi was quick to flatter, saying, "I knew Sister Meng loved me."
The graffiti immediately chimed in: "Sister Meng, please show me some love too!"
Wu Yi glared at Tuya: "It's one thing for you to always come over and freeload, but now you've actually moved in and are trying to steal my food. Have you no shame?"
The graffiti artist, shameless as ever, asked, "Will you give it to me?"
It took Wu Yi a moment to process what the other person meant: "You, you're shameless!"
The two started bickering.
Li Mengqi seemed to be used to it, and went to serve soup to the two of them without a care, while Ning Shu drank her soup and watched the fun from the side.
She wished Cheng Chuan were here too!
Perhaps heaven heard her prayers, for the next day, Ning Shu received a message from Ji Shi saying that the person had been found.
Ning Shu didn't expect that a month would pass by so quickly.
She wondered why Si Zhong hadn't shown up. Could it be that, as she suspected, he had lost his memory? Or had he given up on her?
If it's the latter, should she bring Cheng Chuan back to her side as well?
After all, everyone is together now, except for him.
Originally, she just wanted to know where Cheng Chuan was after his resurrection. If Si Zhong and she no longer had any contact, she wouldn't have to avoid him.
Ning Shu asked Ji Shi, "Your men didn't disturb him, did they?"
Ji Shi was speechless: "Of course not. They only help you find people, they're not responsible for arresting them. They can only tell you their location."
Ning Shu: "Very good, where is he?"
She was a little surprised to learn that Cheng Chuan was actually in the adjacent Safe Zone 2.
She never expected them to be so close. She had hardly ever been to that area, so they had no chance to meet.
Ning Shu added the contact information of a player that Ji Shi had given her, and asked Li Mengqi to drive her to safe zone number 2.
When they got into the car, it was almost full, and Wu Yi and Tuya followed.
Ning Shu turned to look at the two people in the back seat: "What's the meaning of you two following along?"
Wu Yi: "Xiao Ning, you took Sister Meng away, leaving the two of us at home is so boring."
The graffiti artist chimed in: "Exactly, that's right, we should go out and have fun together!"
Ning Shu: "..." Who said she went out to play?
In order to prevent Li Mengqi and the others from knowing that she had specifically gone to find someone, she only said that she was going there on business and asked Li Mengqi to give her a ride. As a result, a whole bunch of people followed her.
Upon arriving at safe zone 2, Ning Shu contacted the player Ji Shi had introduced her to, who then told her Cheng Chuan's exact location.
Ning Shu told Li Mengqi and the others to find a place to stay while she went to take care of some business. After leaving, she went to the location provided by the other party and found Cheng Chuan.
Cheng Chuan was eating at a street stall, looking utterly dejected.
Ning Shu was very worried about him, wondering what he had been through recently.
In order to reunite with the other person, he pretended to walk to the stall where the other person was sitting and asked to buy food.
Holding the bowl of rice noodles, she pretended to look for a place to sit, and then "accidentally" saw Cheng Chuan and came to him with "pleasant surprise".
"Cheng Chuan?"
Cheng Chuan paused mid-eat, looking up at the person greeting him, and froze again.
"Ning Shu? You are Ning Shu?"
Ning Shu nodded, looking pleasantly surprised: "Is this seat taken?"
Cheng Chuan quickly moved the bowl a few centimeters closer to himself, making room for Ning Shu: "No, you can sit down."
The first thing Ning Shu said after sitting down was, "How come you're in the game too? I was kidnapped, you know what kidnapping is? It's outrageous!"
Ning Shu was certainly not kidnapped; she herself didn't know how she ended up in the game.
However, she knew that Cheng Chuan had come for the same reason as him: to quickly get closer to him.
That was the question Cheng Chuan had wanted to ask earlier, but he didn't expect Ning Shu to have the same question as him.
He briefly recounted his experiences and discovered that Ning Shu's experiences were remarkably similar to his own, instantly feeling a deep sense of sympathy for her.
Ning Shuke copied his experience exactly, so how could their experiences be different?
Ning Shu waited until he finished speaking before starting to eat.
Cheng Chuan had almost finished what was in his bowl, and he noticeably slowed down, glancing at Ning Shu every now and then.
Ning Shu understood Cheng Chuan's feelings. After being resurrected, he was wandering alone in the game. Meeting an acquaintance in real life must have been very exciting for him.
Ning Shu stopped eating and looked at Cheng Chuan: "I didn't expect to meet a classmate in the game. It feels like a lifetime ago. How long have you been here?"
She meant that she shared the same feelings as the other person, but she didn't expect that her words would hit Cheng Chuan's sore spot. He lowered his head and sniffed.
Ning Shu could hear the sound of him trying to hold back his tears, but she didn't expose him.
It took Cheng Chuan a while to calm down and compose himself after meeting his fellow townsman.
"I've been here for several months, how about you?"
"Me too."
The two fell silent.
After finishing his noodles, Cheng Chuan asked, "Are you... alright here?"
He was a little uneasy because he himself wasn't doing very well, and he was equally worried about Ning Shu.
Ning Shu: "I'm doing pretty well now. I live with a few like-minded teammates, and we go play dungeons together whenever we have free time."
I came here today on some business, and a few friends came with me.
Cheng Chuan watched Ning Shu speak with great enthusiasm and felt quite envious: "That's wonderful."
Ning Shu asked him, as was customary, "And you?"
Cheng Chuan's face darkened: "I'm not much better. I was originally part of an organization."
Unfortunately, everyone is not on the same page; they're all scheming against each other. I was just kicked out.
Ning Shu remained silent, but secretly she was delighted. This was too much of a coincidence; it was as if heaven had created an opportunity for her to win Cheng Chuan over.
She pretended to have a sudden inspiration: "Why don't you join us? My friends are all very easy to get along with."
Cheng Chuan was surprised: "Why? You invited me without even asking what my skills are?"
Ning Shu frowned: "We're all classmates, why would there be a reason?"
Moreover, my teammates and I don't just team up based on who's the best; we're together simply because we share the same goals and interests.
In games, we don't have family; we can only develop friendships and help each other. Isn't that normal?
These words struck a chord with Cheng Chuan once again. That was exactly what he thought, but unfortunately, he had met the wrong person.
"Think it over carefully. Tell me after I finish eating. If you're willing, I'll take you to see my friend later."
Cheng Chuan didn't expect Ning Shu to act on her promise so quickly. It seemed that if he didn't go with her today, she would ignore him.
His initial hesitation suddenly turned into determination. Ning Shu was different from the other players; she was his classmate in real life.
This kind of relationship would definitely be stronger than those ill-intentioned players he met along the way, so he decided to go with Ning Shu.
