Chapter 345 Absolute Imprisonment (9) - Daily Life Together

Chapter 345 Absolute Imprisonment (9) - Daily Life Together

Si Zhong now finally understands his brother's fondness for being surrounded by beautiful women, but he doesn't have as many thoughts as his brother; he only cares about Ning Shu.

Ning Shu was furious. She had originally wanted to play cards with him, but he had tricked her instead.

Now that she had the cards in her hand, she didn't want to play with him anymore. She threw the cards on the table and decided not to continue.

Si Zhong seemed to have anticipated Ning Shu's reaction, and finally spent the whole day quietly reading.

Ning Shu was browsing the internet on Si Zhong's laptop. With nothing else to do, she found some mindless romance novels to read.

Originally, she thought these kinds of novels were nothing special to read, just something to pass the time, but she didn't expect to become more and more engrossed in them, to the point that she forgot to eat and sleep.

In the evening, Si Zhong had prepared dinner and called Ning Shu to eat, only to find her looking at her notebook while eating.

Si Zhong sat next to her, and seeing that she was distracted while eating, he frowned unhappily and reached out to snatch the notebook from in front of her.

Ning Shu sighed and looked at the notebook that had "flew" away from her, complaining, "What are you doing?"

Si Zhong closed the notebook and placed it on his other side: "You shouldn't talk while eating or sleeping. You'll get indigestion if you do that."

Ning Shu thought for a moment, then silently began to eat.

She didn't think Si Zhong was right; she just felt that she could finish eating as soon as possible so she could continue watching.

Si Zhong thought she had finally listened to him, but after taking a shower, he realized that Ning Shu hadn't listened to a word he said.

After much effort, I finally managed to get Ning Shu to finish her shower, but when it was time for bed, she was still reading on her laptop and wouldn't go to sleep until 1 a.m.

Si Zhong was a little angry. He snatched her laptop away and pressed her down to lie down: "Go to sleep, or you won't be able to use the computer starting tomorrow."

Ning Shu understood the threat in his words and quickly lay down, pretending to be asleep.

Si Zhong was satisfied. He released his hand from hers and lay down to go to sleep.

Ke Ning couldn't fall asleep, tossing and turning. The novel she hadn't finished reading made her feel like ants were gnawing at her heart, causing her great anxiety.

Si Zhong sensed her movement and said softly, "If you can't sleep, we can do something interesting..."

Before he could finish speaking, Ning Shu demonstrated how to "fall asleep in a second".

Seeing that she had finally calmed down, Si Zhong fell asleep peacefully.

The next day, Ning Shu got up and searched everywhere for the laptop, turning the entire villa upside down, but it was nowhere to be found.

She immediately realized that Si Zhong had probably taken her into his spatial storage. The fierce woman sighed, wondering why she didn't even have the freedom to read a novel.

While eating breakfast, Ning Shu pretended not to understand: "Where did you put the notebook last night? I need to finish reading the rest."

Si Zhong didn't respond to that question, but instead said, "After breakfast, I'll take you out for a bit."

Out again?

Ning Shu thought about how she had been tricked last time and felt it was not a good idea. Besides, she had no interest in going out right now; she just wanted to read novels!

Ning Shu suggested, "Why don't you go out by yourself? I'll stay at home."

Si Zhong was taken aback, not because Ning Shu refused to go out, but because of the word "home" in her words.

He thought she was unwilling, but he never expected that she would treat his place as her home.

Ning Shu never expected that her casual remark would be interpreted so vividly by someone. Seeing the other person stunned on the spot, she wondered if she had said something wrong.

Is he that sensitive? Surely not, he used to be a "crazy gamer".

Ning Shu hesitated, wondering if she should apologize to him or something.

After all, firstly, it shouldn't affect her dungeon quest, and secondly, since she was about to leave the game, it wouldn't hurt to leave a good impression on the other party at the last moment.

"I……"

Ning Shu was about to explain when Si Zhong interrupted her.

"Okay, you can continue reading today. I'll take you out again tomorrow." Si Zhong said, handing her the laptop.

Sure enough, it was in his space!

Ning Shu suddenly realized when she took it. Sometimes there was no need to confront him head-on. He seemed to respond better to gentleness than force.

She felt as if she had discovered the key to getting along with him.

Ning Shu still felt she should cherish her "vacation" without training, so she picked up her notebook and continued reading the novel.

The two of them squeezed onto the living room sofa, each reading their own thing. Ning Shu was sitting cross-legged reading a novel when she noticed Si Zhong sitting next to her out of the corner of her eye.

She remembered that Si Zhong always liked to read in the study. When did he start preferring to read in the living room?

The two did not sit very close; Si Zhong did not like to cling to her when he was doing serious business.

Ning Shu's legs had gone numb from sitting cross-legged for so long. She moved her legs and changed her posture, and then suddenly noticed Si Zhong.

At this moment, he was leaning back comfortably on the sofa, legs crossed, engrossed in reading a book.

Ning Shu's heart skipped a beat, and she stretched out her leg and kicked his leg.

Si Zhong turned his head and looked at her, puzzled.

"I'm thirsty, peel an apple for me."

Si Zhong tilted his head, looking puzzled: "Shouldn't you drink water if you're thirsty?"

Ning Shu was speechless. If she didn't say she was thirsty, was she supposed to say she was craving something? That would be so embarrassing!

That idiot! With a brain like his, who else would be single if not him?

Calm down, calm down, Ning Shu coughed lightly: "Apples are juicy and nutritious, you should go quickly."

Si Zhong understood; she was craving it.

He resignedly got up to peel the apple. Ning Shu, seeing him get up, instructed him, "Cut it into small pieces and put toothpicks on top."

Si Zhong sighed, "They really take advantage of any kindness shown to them."

Ning Shu waited until he entered the kitchen, then glanced down at the book he was reading, which turned out to be the Tao Te Ching.

Is he trying to make up for all the Chinese cultural treasures he missed while abroad?

After everyone returned, Ning Shu couldn't wait to pick up a toothpick and eat a piece of apple.

After eating two pieces, he began to comment: "The apple is good, but it's a bit too big. It would be perfect if it were cut in half."

Upon hearing this, Si Zhong looked at Ning Shu with a questioning expression in his eyes.

Ning Shu realized that she had indeed gone too far, so she quickly picked up another toothpick and held it to Si Zhong's lips: "You've worked hard, have some."

His tone was full of sycophancy.

Si Zhong lowered his eyes and stared at the slender hand in front of him. Suddenly, he felt that the scene was somewhat ambiguous, and the air around him seemed to be filled with a sweet scent.

Some people actually feel intoxicated even without being intoxicated themselves.

He cleared his throat, and instead of taking Ning Shu's toothpick, he opened his lips and put the fruit in his mouth, following her movements.

Si Zhong's breath traveled along the toothpick, and it was somewhat hot, making Ning Shu feel a little "burnt".

The instant Si Zhong put the fruit in his mouth, she quickly withdrew her hand, leaving only a toothpick between Si Zhong's lips.

Si Zhong bit into the fruit, took out a toothpick, and after eating it, made a comment.

"sweet."

Ning Shu seemed to realize that the scene just now was too ambiguous, and her whole face and earlobes were bright red.

I quickly sat back down, picked up my laptop, and continued reading my novel, but all I could think about was that scene from earlier.
