Chapter 8 Red Brick Factory (7) - Teammate Mutation

Chapter 8 Red Brick Factory (7) - Teammate Mutation

There's no wind here, so Wu Yi was taken away by a mysterious force?

Otherwise, it's impossible to explain how such a tall guy could "easily" and without warning "leave" this place.

Although leaving this place is everyone's ultimate goal, they do not want to "leave" in this way.

"Help! Help!"

Ning Shucai finally realized what was happening, but what could she do?

Everyone present could only stare blankly at the hole.

"Cheng...Cheng Chuan!"

Ning Shu suspected she was hallucinating. What was she seeing?

Cheng Chuan turned into sand fog? Just like the mummy in the movie "The Mummy," he turned into a sandstorm or something, rolled up, went to wherever he wanted, and then turned back into his original form.

Cheng Chuan transformed into a small, swirling "sandstorm" right before her eyes, spinning continuously in the air before whooshing out of the glass opening.

Everyone: "..."

Cheng Chuan was shattered into pieces by a mysterious force right in front of her? He was "flushed" away through the shattered glass hole like a toilet bowl flush?

This was Ning Shu's first reaction; wasn't all of this too surreal?

First, the floor devoured people, then a fierce wind sucked them in, and then one person disappeared and another was broken.

Ning Shu didn't dare to think about what would happen next; it was too terrifying!

Zhu Peng's voice trembled: "Let's get out of here quickly, or we don't know how we're going to die."

Ning Shu knew it was time to leave, but she couldn't accept that Cheng Chuan and Wu Yi were gone just like that.

Perhaps the scene she had just witnessed was too shocking, because her legs were stiff and she could hardly walk.

She even maliciously wondered if she was going to turn to stone and shatter on the spot, otherwise why couldn't she move her legs?

There was another faint noise coming from the broken window, which terrified the rest of them.

They tried to rush towards the stairs, but Ning Shu, who was furthest from the stairs and was physically unable to move, barely moved.

Then, a brown mist came in from the window, swirled around a few times, and then transformed into Cheng Chuan's appearance in front of Ning Shu, holding the martial arts that had been "absorbed" in his hand.

"Ning Shu, it's me!"

Cheng Chuan saw that Ning Shu was completely pale and knew she was scared, so he began to explain.

Cheng Chuan's change occurred after he came out of the previous passage; at that time, he did not see Ning Shu walking in front of him.

He went to a private space and felt something was wrong with his body, but unlike Ning Shu, he didn't feel pain, but rather itchiness.

Then, to his horror, he saw his body turn into sand, first falling to the ground like a pile of loose sand, and then gathering back together to resemble himself.

This happened many times, and he was so frightened that his face turned completely white and he didn't know what to do. Suddenly, he saw Ning Shu appear in front of him.

Ning Shu collapsed to her knees on the ground, trembling all over.

His earlier fear was dispelled by encountering someone familiar, and he went forward to help Ning Shu, his face pale.

After listening to Ning Shu recount her experience, he felt that he might have also been exposed to the mist without his knowledge.

Those things must have been his hallucinations; after all, people can die in this godforsaken place, right?

Cheng Chuan felt he was normal, so when Ning Shu asked him if he had encountered anything strange, he said no.

When he saw Wu Yi being swept away, he felt a strong urge to save him in that critical moment.

So intense was the change in his body that he didn't even notice it. He simply followed his will, and the sand transformed into a small tornado, flying towards the glass opening.

Outside the window, he saw only darkness. There was nothing outside—no streetlights, no moonlight—so he couldn't see anything beyond the factory.

He sensed something was wrong outside. No matter where he was, even if the sky was full of dark clouds, it shouldn't be pure black; it should be as black as ink.

If there were no dark clouds, the sky would be deep blue, definitely not pure black.

The ink-black color made Cheng Chuan feel that something was wrong with this place, even though he himself felt something was wrong with himself at that moment.

He caught Wu Yi, and he discovered that Wu Yi, who had been brought out by a mysterious force, seemed to be constantly being dragged into the darkness. He thought that he would have to go through a lot of trouble to take Wu Yi away.

But when he grabbed Wu Yi, the mysterious power seemed to disappear, and he easily brought the person back.

To avoid being cut by the broken glass, he used his sand-like body to completely envelop the other person, successfully passing through the broken hole and returning to the corridor.

Cheng Chuan, who had just transformed back, immediately saw Ning Shu standing in front of him with a terrified expression.

He suddenly realized that even he couldn't accept this change, let alone others. In order to comfort Ning Shu, he took the lead in explaining.

"Really, really is you? You..." Ning Shu's trembling voice betrayed her fear.

"It's me, really, I won't hurt you." Cheng Chuan was heartbroken, almost kneeling down to tell her that he was the real deal.

"That's good then." Ning Shu seemed to accept it. "Wu Yi, are you alright?"

Ning Shu saw Wu Yi, who was still in shock, and pretended to care, mainly to distract Cheng Chuan. She was scared, really scared.

Those lines from idol dramas, like "I'll recognize you even if you turn to ashes" and "I'll love you no matter what you become," are all lies.

If you're so capable, go and ask the person who said that, "Tell me who this is, and see if he can really tell me."

The second sentence is even more absurd. Let alone turning into some alien creature, even simple disfigurement might be the reason for not being loved, let alone turning into a weird person.

"No, it's nothing."

Wu Yi was not only grateful that he had escaped with his life, but also shocked by the way Cheng Chuan had saved him.

He couldn't help but steal a glance at Cheng Chuan. Cheng Chuan seemed to be the same Cheng Chuan, without having become ferocious.

He felt a little relieved.

"It's not safe here, let's leave quickly," Ning Shu said. Regardless of who Cheng Chuan was, leaving this place was the best course of action.

"No, he can't come with us!"

Zhu Peng's sudden voice came over, and the three of them turned to look.

“He, he’s a monster. If he stays with us, he might kill us,” Zhu Peng said excitedly, not at all afraid of their condemning gazes.

"What are you saying! Cheng Chuan just saved me, how could he harm us?" Before Ning Shu could even speak, Wu Yi interrupted Zhu Peng.

"That's right, you guys..." Ning Shu was interrupted by Zhu Peng before she could finish speaking.

"No matter what you say, he can't come with us. Let's split up!" Zhu Peng made no attempt to hide his intentions.

A moment of silence fell over the scene.

Ning Shu rolled his eyes so hard they almost reached the sky. "Brother, do you even understand the situation? We can't leave this dangerous place. Why are you talking about all this nonsense?"

She wanted to go up and punch him.
