Chapter 31 Dark Paradise (9) - Pill Clues
Cheng Chuan: "Where is the pharmacy?"
The skinny monkey said in surprise, "Right behind here, there's such a big shop standing there. Are you blind?"
Now Cheng Chuan and the others were puzzled. Was there a pharmacy behind there?
Ning Shu looked up to search. Their location was relatively secluded, but there was nothing around except darkness. Was this guy playing a trick on them?
Wu Yi couldn't hold back any longer: "Are you kidding me? There's no pharmacy behind here, just a dark forest."
The skinny monkey was even more puzzled: "You...you're not blind, are you?" That doesn't make sense, they don't look blind, so how can they say they can't see?
Ning Shu roughly guessed what was going on and told Cheng Chuan to continue asking questions, saying they would discuss the shop's location later.
"How do pharmacists identify their prescriptions, and how many medications do they dispense per day?"
Skinny Monkey didn't dwell on the previous issues; he just wanted to leave quickly and answer every question.
"There are many pharmacists in the pharmacy. Just ask who you want to get the medicine from. The medicine is called T pills."
I don't know how much they distribute each day, but once the medicine runs out, the pharmacist will tell you to come back another day to collect it.
"Is this medicine only needed for playing on slides?"
"Yes, you can't play without eating."
"So the medicine must be picked up and taken by the person in person, right?"
"ah?"
Seeing that the other person didn't understand, Cheng Chuan pointed to the words on the medicine.
It was too dark around him, and the skinny monkey couldn't see the words on the medicine. He assumed the other person was just pointing at the medicine and, not understanding what was going on, heard the other person continue:
"There are words on this medicine, and it has your name on it. If it's not only for the person who can take it, then what's the point of the words on it?"
The skinny monkey had never studied the medicine after receiving it, so he had no idea that there were words on it:
"I don't know, but a friend told me that the medicine must be picked up in person and taken by oneself, and should not be shared with others."
Ning Shu: "What happens if I take medicine that I didn't get myself?"
Skinny Monkey was taken aback again. The kidnappers' questions tonight were all way beyond his comprehension. He stammered as he answered, "I...I don't know. My friend didn't say."
The other three people present were speechless. You just came to such a dangerous place without even asking why, and you just listened to whatever your friends said.
Why were they so unlucky? Why didn't they just arrest his all-knowing friend?
"Will it automatically revert to its original state after the game ends? Or do I need to meet other conditions?" Ning Shu was worried; what if it couldn't revert back?
Skinny Monkey: "Once you've had enough fun, you can recover by going through the waterfall at the exit."
Ning Shu recalled that the NPC tourists she had seen were indeed like that.
She felt she had asked enough questions: "Take us to that pharmacy. We have knives on us, so don't do anything rash. Cooperate with us obediently, okay?"
The skinny monkey nodded frantically.
To avoid attracting attention, they had to untie the ropes. Cheng Chuan and Wu Yi flanked the skinny monkey on either side, while Ning Shu followed behind them, with the skinny monkey leading the way.
Just as he said, when they walked to the back, they saw a one-story building with "Leyuantang" written on it, a name that certainly sounded like a pharmacy.
Ke Ning and the others were quite certain that they had never seen this building before.
They had been to this area before and only saw a dark forest. Because they were worried that there might be something bad inside, they never went in.
So, are these black areas something they need to explore and unlock on their own?
Only by walking this far can one understand the meaning of these buildings?
No wonder they thought the amusement park design was strange before; the attractions were far apart, but there was nothing in between.
It turns out that it wasn't that it didn't exist, but rather that they couldn't see it.
Cheng Chuan nudged the skinny monkey: "Come on, lead the way."
The three followed the skinny monkey into the pharmacy, which wasn't too crowded.
Ning Shu and the others saw five people behind the counter: two at the cashier and the others busy in different places. There were several people queuing in front of one of the counters.
Their first thought was that those people were there to collect T-pills.
Ning Shu went over immediately, leaving behind the words, "I'll go ask."
Cheng Chuan and the others watched as Ning Shu exchanged a few words with the counter staff, and then saw her nod at them, indicating that she was indeed there to pick up her medicine.
Cheng Chuan and Wu Yi were about to join the end of the line when Skinny Monkey saw them and suddenly turned and ran away.
Despite his small and thin appearance, he was quite fast, and they were caught off guard and he got away.
Wu Yi wanted to chase after him but was stopped by Cheng Chuan.
"Stop chasing him. Our goal is to get the medicine. He doesn't care. Hurry up and get in line."
When the three of them were at the back of the line, they nervously stared at the people in front of them, afraid that there would be no medicine left when it was their turn.
Before it was even their turn, the pharmacist told the people in front of them that they were out of pills and to come back another day.
The three remained silent. It was true that the more you thought about something, the less likely it was to happen. Their luck was truly unbelievable.
Ning Shu stepped forward and asked, "Around what time tomorrow can we start collecting them?"
The pharmacist smiled and replied, "You can come and pick it up when the park opens."
"It must be collected and eaten by the person in question, right? What happens if someone else eats it?"
The pharmacist was puzzled: "Medicine can only be taken by the person giving it to. If it is not suitable for someone else, it may worsen their condition or even lead to death. Therefore, I do not recommend giving medicine to others indiscriminately."
Therefore, this medicine does indeed have specific properties.
Approximately how many doses of medicine are distributed each day?
"I'm sorry, customer, this is confidential. I can only say that you should come earlier next time to queue up, first come first served."
The three were helpless but dared not leave, so they hid in a corner to discuss their options.
Wu Yi: "What should we do? Will we disappear if we leave here?"
Cheng Chuan: "It's not that I can't see it, but I don't know if I need an NPC to lead the way to see it."
Unable to come up with a good solution, and with the park about to close, the three decided to stay at the pharmacy.
Perhaps because they neither made a purchase nor left the store, they attracted the attention of the staff and were subsequently driven away.
They then realized that they could not stay overnight in the store and had to leave.
Ning Shu wanted to know how the older brother was doing, so the three of them went back to the slide area to find him.
They looked around anxiously, worried about missing the man, and then they overheard the tourists talking inside the barbed wire fence.
"It was terrifying just now. A person's head exploded near the elevator, scaring the people next to them half to death. Then the staff quickly came over and cleaned up the body."
Do you know what happened?
"I heard that person stole someone else's things, ate them, and then..."
"My goodness, there are all kinds of people these days."
Ning Shu was in a bad mood after hearing this. If she hadn't asked her older brother to try this method, the other person might not have died.
Cheng Chuan seemed to have seen through Ning Shu's thoughts and comforted her:
"You don't need to blame yourself; he couldn't have made it out alive anyway."
Besides, if we hadn't known that the pills could only be taken by the person taking them, we would have perished here too.
Ning Shu understood the reasoning, but she still felt a little guilty. Cheng Chuan didn't say much; he knew Ning Shu would understand.
