Chapter 14 He doesn't like me at all!

"I'm the center! I'm the center!" Fang Xiaoke spun around happily at the dining table. "Did you see that?! I can actually jump to the center position now! Mom! I'm so proud of myself!"

"Can't you eat properly!" Ji Feng pressed down Fang Xiaoke's flailing hands and put several pieces of pork ribs into his plate. "Eat up, eat up, or you won't grow tall."

"Okay, I know." Growing taller is the most important thing for Fang Xiaoke, an eighteen-year-old boy. He quickly picked up his rice bowl and shoveled rice into his mouth. On the other side of the cafeteria, Jin He absentmindedly poked at the rice grains in his plate with his chopsticks. Suddenly, a plate was placed on the empty seat opposite him.

He looked up and saw Wen Lian and a very familiar little boy.

"Senior! I am Song Bai, do you still remember me!"

Jin He remembered that this was the child she had met when she was taking photos before, and smiled and nodded at him: "Remember, you and Wen Lian are in the same company?"

“Mm,” Wen Lian replied.

"Oh, I see. That's great, you'll have company now." Jin He put down her chopsticks, stood up, and prepared to leave. "Then enjoy your meal. I won't disturb you any longer."

Wen Lian glanced at the barely touched food on Jin He's plate and asked, "Is the food not to your liking?"

"Huh? No."

To be honest, the food here is pretty good. The trainees are all teenagers with big appetites. They're always jumping around and burning a lot of energy, so the cafeteria's chefs and nutritionists are hired at a high price. It's just that Jin He can't eat too much at one meal; she just needs to feel full.

"Eat smaller meals more frequently," Jin He said. "There's no need to worry about wasting food. I brought a lunchbox, and I can just heat it up in the microwave when I want to eat. Anyway, it won't spoil overnight."

"She eats so little." Song Bai looked at Jin He's thin back and whispered to Wen Lian, "No wonder Jin He is so thin. She only eats the amount we would eat in one meal a day."

Wen Lian looked at the plate in front of him. The food was a good mix of meat and vegetables and tasted quite good. A strange feeling welled up in his heart, but it was fleeting and he couldn't quite grasp it. "Eat quickly. You still need to practice a few more times. You made a mistake in one of your moves during the test. I'll help you correct it later."

"Oh well."

When Jin He returned to the practice room with a thermos full of water, she found that someone was already there. An Yi was sitting on the floor watching something on a tablet. When Jin He got closer, she saw that it was the video of his assessment.

He turned around and prepared to leave.

"return."

Jin He stopped and turned around to nod at An Yi: "Teacher An."

"Yes, I'm watching the video of your assessment."

"Didn't you see the scores when you were giving them?" Jin He asked him back.

“You didn’t need to be so harsh with me. I was just considering things from a mentor’s perspective,” An Yi added. “You probably really were fed up with me back then, which is why you…”

"What do I have to do with you!" Jin He suddenly interrupted him.

"Don't worry, I've already turned off the live streaming equipment in this practice room beforehand."

Jin He placed the thermos on the cabinet and walked silently to the horizontal bar to stretch her legs.

"Of course, if you're unkind, I can't be unjust. You're from Aurora, after all. Your singing and dancing were taught by me and Lin Nian. If you perform poorly, you're ruining our reputation."

Jin He pressed her legs down, looking down at him.

“But you clearly memorized all the moves, and your performance during the a cappella was also good. Why do you always seem to lack breath during the assessment?” An Yi seemed to be seriously pointing out his professional issues. “Look, you could barely keep up in the first half, but in the second half, after the first chorus ended, you started panting. Were you out of breath?”

"Yes," Jin He answered honestly.

"That has to do with your lung capacity and other aspects. I remember you could sing and dance live before, you weren't as bad as people said, how could this be?"

“It’s normal to lose physical strength as you get older,” Jin He said. “I’ll practice some more and I’ll be fine.”

An Yi found it strange. Jin He was actually a perfectionist. When he first debuted, he didn't know anything, so he trained like crazy. Even though his personal and group schedules had already squeezed his time so much that he had to use a stopwatch to time his sleep, he still managed to squeeze out time for classes. During that time, he even talked about song lyrics in his sleep.

It definitely won't be like this, where they just casually say "I'm getting older."

An Yi couldn't believe that such a strong-willed child could now be so self-destructive. If it wasn't out of necessity, then it could only mean that Jin He had changed.

But An Yi still refused to believe it and asked him, "Did something happen to you?"

"I don't know which aspect you're referring to. If you're talking about breaking up with me, I can only say no." Jin He, like a cold-blooded killer, stabbed An Yi in the heart. "I broke up with you voluntarily. There was no compelling reason, and no one forced me."

An Yi was hurt by Jin He again.

It's quite shameful to admit, even though she had clearly stated that the breakup was simply because she was tired of him and bored with him, and there was no other reason. But he still wouldn't give up, testing Jin He's heart again and again, and unexpectedly, Jin He really kept stabbing him in the heart.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, in a private room of a coffee shop near the base, a young man in a gray trench coat sat on a sofa chair with a steaming latte beside him. He had an excellent appearance, with a gentleness that radiated from within. He picked up the coffee, blew on it gently, and was about to put it in his mouth when the door of the private room was pushed open with a "bang!" Startled, he trembled and spilled half of the coffee on his trench coat.

An Yi rushed in like a bull, and the first thing he said to the person was, "I don't want to see Jin He again!"

Lin Nian was startled by him, blinking her eyes repeatedly. An Yi always gave her a very familiar feeling, as if time had reversed, and they had gone back to when they were twenty years old.

Back then, he often argued with Jin He and couldn't win the argument. He would often get so angry that he would be out of his mind and come to him in a rage to seek justice. Although he sometimes ran into obstacles and was even taught a lesson by Jin He and Lin Nian working together, he still didn't learn his lesson.

"I never want to see Jin He again!" An Yi repeated when Lin Nian ignored him.

Lin Nian: "..."

"Didn't you return to China because you were worried about him?"

An Yi: "Who wouldn't worry about him! He's lively and energetic now!"

"Really? I feel like Xiao He is still the same as before," Lin Nian said. "I watched your live stream, and he seemed a bit sickly now, and even thinner than when he was in the group."

An Yi stared at the coffee, angrily saying, "What do you mean, 'the same old thing'? Didn't he used to love coffee? Now he won't drink a drop. He's changed! He's changed his mind!"

Lin Nian: "...Can you calm down first?"

"He never wanted to go back on stage again. He's made enough money. He has no dreams! And he doesn't even like me!" An Yi added, sounding aggrieved.

Lin Nian: "..."

I've come here unnecessarily today.
