The China International Botanical Exhibition is held in Gzhou, which has well-developed transportation, a vibrant economy, and is often warm and humid, making it suitable for the growth of most plants.
The exhibition was held in a huge venue. There was already a long queue outside the venue in the early morning. The exhibition did not charge admission fees, but reservations were required in advance. Just scan the QR code when entering.
It would take another half an hour for the doors to open. Xiaoxiao was so bored waiting that she started chatting with the people in front of her in line.
"Hey! What are you here for?"
In front of Xiaoxiao was a cutely dressed little girl. When someone spoke to her, she enthusiastically replied, "I came here to see the cotton candy tree. It's pink and changes color with the seasons. I love it!"
"I want to see all my plants. Can you imagine a plant with barbecue flowers? A tree that grows noodles? Just thinking about it makes me excited!"
"Yeah. Yeah! It's amazing."
………
The two of them were chatting animatedly, attracting the people around them.
"Where did you hear the news? I saw it on Weibo at the botanical exhibition and bought a plane ticket overnight to come here."
"I saw it from Director Zanghu. He has detailed information about all the plants under his scarf."
"When do you think these plants can be sold? I can't cook and I'm in urgent need of a plant to fill my stomach." The person who said this looked longing.
"I want that dessert tree."
"Just ask!"
"Stop talking, line up and open the door."
The exhibition hall door opened, and Xiaoxiao followed the crowd to scan the QR code to enter the exhibition. As soon as she entered, she asked the staff, "Hello, where are the plants brought by the Botanical Research Institute?"
"It's in the center of the venue. You can see it just as you walk along this road," the staff member said, pointing with a smile. "You can also just follow the aroma as you go."
The crew also made a little joke.
The staff only noticed the fragrance in the air when they were talking and laughing. There was the sweet smell of cake, the smell of fruit, and the spicy and fresh smell...
Xiaoxiao could already imagine how many delicious foods were inside, so she quickly walked forward following the fragrance. The plants on both sides of her were now just the background.
Following the fragrance, Xiaoxiao soon arrived at her destination. In the center of the venue was a circular platform with a dozen trees in the center. These trees were planted in huge vats, and each tree was different.
The tree is surrounded by a circle of potted plants with a one-meter-wide space in the middle. All the plants exude an enticing fragrance.
"Are those hamburgers growing on that tree?" Xiaoxiao was a little skeptical about life. Could hamburgers grow on trees?
Although I had already read the information on Director Zanghu's Weibo, seeing the real thing was still a big shock.
Someone standing next to Xiaoxiao, chatting in line, heard him and said, "Calm down! Haven't you seen the plant information on Director Zanghu's Weibo? Look over there, that tree is bearing mung bean cakes and red bean cakes."
While asking others to stay calm, the tourist stretched his neck and looked at the plants nearby without moving his feet.
At this time, visitors came here one after another.
"Wow! Is that pudding on top of this mushroom? It looks like caramel egg flavor from the color."
"The one next to it is strawberry flavor!"
"There's also matcha flavor, my favorite!"
"Receptionist, can I have some of this pudding?" a little girl asked the staff.
"Of course you can, but you have to be accompanied by a staff member when picking them."
The staff brought a pair of scissors and a plate to the little girl, who carefully cut off the mushroom stem, and a piece of caramel egg-flavored pudding fell on the plate.
