Chapter 200 His Whole World

Lu Zhengye had to admit that he couldn't refuse.

One of the reasons was that he was very worried about his son's health. He had never taken care of a child before, let alone a sick one, and he felt more at ease with Lin Yusheng around.

The second reason was that he really wanted to see her.

Lu Zhengye: "I'll come pick you up."

Lin Yusheng: "No need, it's too late. I'll drive there myself, it'll save time."

Lu Zhengye: "It's too late, I'll come pick you up."

Lu Zhengye's words were undeniably domineering and autocratic, leaving Lin Yusheng in a daze for a long time.

Five minutes later, Lu Zhengye sent another message.

"I'll be there in about 30 minutes."

Lin Yusheng: "Okay."

Lin Yusheng only took some children's fever reducers that Lu Shifan usually took, then put on a jacket over her pajamas and waited for Lu Zhengye to pick her up.

Normally, she would dress up nicely to see Lu Zhengye, but now that Fanfan is sick and it's late at night, she has no mood for it at all.

A mother is always most worried about her child, and she has really changed a lot since having a child.

When Lu Zhengye arrived by car, Lin Yusheng was already waiting at the door.

He didn't expect that Lin Yusheng was living in the same villa they had stayed in before.

Wei Qingming clearly stated that he had sold all his assets in Lucheng.

Lu Zhengye got out of the car and opened the passenger door for her.

Lin Yusheng said "thank you" and then sat down.

Lu Zhengye started the car. Both of them had their own thoughts, but neither was too embarrassed to speak first.

Finally, Lu Zhengye asked first, "Why do you live there?"

"After you sold the house, I bought it back."

Lu Zhengye gripped the steering wheel with slightly increased force, the veins on the back of his hands clearly visible.

Lin Yusheng changed the subject, "How is Fanfan now?"

"It's been burning for over an hour and it still hasn't gone down. I've been trying to cool it down with physical methods."

Lin Yusheng was also worried, but she remained calm and comforted him, saying, "Fanfan's health isn't very good. He's prone to relapses when he gets sick, so don't worry too much."

"Your health isn't very good, is it because of premature birth?"

Lin Yusheng was shocked. "You...you knew?"

"Um."

Lu Zhengye's breathing became heavy, and a look of self-reproach gradually appeared on his face. "I didn't know he couldn't eat too many snacks, and I didn't know to cover him with a blanket when he was asleep."

Lin Yusheng looked at him, feeling sorry for her son and also for him.

Lu Zhengye had never shown such helplessness and self-blame in front of her. He didn't know how to take care of children, so he felt that Fanfan's illness was his responsibility.

Lin Yusheng gently comforted him, "No one is born with these skills. Children's bodies can't compare to ours. Besides, Fanfan is indeed greedy. My grandfather dotes on him and always spoils him. He's had indigestion and fever countless times. You don't need to blame yourself."

Perhaps it was because Lin Yusheng's voice was so gentle that Lu Zhengye's heart gradually calmed down.

"Okay, if you're sleepy, take a nap."

Lin Yusheng shook her head.

They traveled in silence all the way to Lu Zhengye's house.

After getting out of the car, Lu Zhengye naturally took the bag from Lin Yusheng's hand.

They were both stunned at the same time; the scene just now seemed so natural, as if they had never been apart.

Lu Zhengye felt a little embarrassed and said, "Go upstairs, I'll take the bag."

"good."

The two went straight upstairs. Lin Yusheng had just left this morning and returned this evening.

Xu Yifan performed a very important surgery today, so he was so sleepy that he kept yawning.

Seeing this, Lu Zhengye told him to go downstairs and find a guest room to rest.

The first thing Lin Yusheng did was sit down next to Lu Shifan and touch his forehead.

It's still very hot.

Lu Shifan sensed something, opened his eyes, and seeing it was his mother, he pouted sadly and opened his arms, "Mommy~"

After she finished shouting, large tears slid down her cheeks.

This sound brought tears to Lin Yusheng's eyes, a deep pang of heartache.

She pulled Lu Shifan into her arms, sat him on her lap, and patted his back gently, coaxing him, "Baby, Mommy's here. You have to get better soon, okay? Mommy and Daddy are very worried about you."

"Yes, Mommy, I love you."

Lu Shifan was delirious with fever, but he still didn't forget to respond.

"Mommy loves you very much too."

This was a side of Lin Yusheng that Lu Zhengye had never seen before.

She used to be a high-class young lady born with a silver spoon in her mouth, but now she is more like one of the millions of ordinary mothers, radiating loving light.

But no matter what kind of person she is, she can recklessly enter Lu Zhengye's heart, etch herself into his bones, make him want to hold her in his arms when he sees her, and make him yearn for her to the bone when he can't see her.

Lu Zhengye stepped forward, extending his arms somewhat stiffly, "Let me hug you."

He wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but his son, who was tiny in his arms, seemed much bigger in Lin Yusheng's. Lu Zhengye subconsciously worried that she might get tired or that she might catch something.

Lin Yusheng originally wanted to say no, but she thought it would be good for the father and son to deepen their relationship.

So she asked Lu Zhengye to sit down, gently placed Xiao Fan in his arms, and taught him which position would not make Fan Fan uncomfortable.

Although Lu Zhengye's movements were stiff, Lin Yusheng could tell that he was trying very hard to learn.

After Lu Shifan settled down in Lu Zhengye's arms, Lin Yusheng went to the bathroom to get a basin of water, wrung out a towel, and wiped Lu Shifan's body to cool him down physically.

Half an hour later, the fever finally subsided.

Both of them breathed a sigh of relief.

Lu Zhengye said, "It's late, sleep here."
