The friend could only offer silent comfort.

He looked up.
A figure emerged from the blazing ruins.

Lu Zhengye held Lin Yusheng tightly, the pain in his body making each step difficult.

Lin Jingyu was speechless. "In the next ward."
"Where is Shushu?"
Lin Yusheng's heart clenched at the thought of that gunshot.
Lin Jingyu hurriedly said, "She's fine. She was just grazed by a bullet. She fell off a cliff, but luckily there was a protruding rock that prevented her from being seriously injured."
Lin Yusheng endured the pain and propped herself up. "Then I'm going to go see Lu Zhengye."
"What are you doing? You're still injured," Lin Jingyu stopped her.
But Lin Yusheng insisted on going, and he had no choice.
"Brother, can you not come with me? I want to go see him alone."

Lin Yusheng walked to the next ward by herself.

After Wei Qing left, Lin Yusheng rushed into Lu Zhengye's arms and hugged his lean waist tightly with both hands.
So suddenly, Lu Zhengye almost lost his balance and was tackled by her.
Lin Yusheng sobbed softly, filled with lingering fear. If something had happened to Lu Zhengye, she truly didn't know how she would have been able to keep going.
Lu Zhengye patted his head somewhat awkwardly, chuckling as he comforted him, "Were you scared?"
Lin Yusheng shook her head, then nodded; she didn't know how to describe her feelings.
"It's alright," Lu Zhengye said gently.
But Lin Yusheng continued to cry.
Finally, Lu Zhengye had no choice but to pull her out and lower his head to kiss her slightly pale lips.
Lin Yusheng was only stunned for a moment before closing her eyes and responding enthusiastically.
Now it was Lu Zhengye's turn to be stunned. Lin Yusheng rarely responded so enthusiastically, and even seemed to be taking the initiative.
Lu Zhengye's face showed lust, and he no longer showed any tenderness. He pressed the back of Lin Yusheng's head and kissed her heavily, regaining complete control of the situation.
Both of them were breathing rapidly, their bodies were getting hot, and even their hearts were burning.
This scene was witnessed by Lin Jingyu, who rushed over because he was worried about Lin Yusheng.
He was so angry he almost fainted, and instinctively tried to go in and pull the two apart.
But then he suddenly remembered that Lu Zhengye had just saved his sister, and if he went in now and separated the two of them, Lin Yusheng would probably hate him to death.
