The two people went further and further as they spoke, and Shen Yishu's hands, hanging by her sides, gradually clenched, her chest aching with anger.
Just as she was about to confront them, her wrist was grabbed by a large, hot hand.
Wen Nian's eyes also held anger, but he said to Shen Yishu, "Go back first. Today is your birthday, don't let it ruin your mood."
Shen Yishu thought about it and agreed, so she put aside her displeasure and asked, "Aren't you coming back with me?"
"I don't like those kinds of occasions, I'll go home later."

Wen Nian nodded.
Shen Yishu took two steps, then turned back to look at Wen Nian and said very seriously, "What they said is not true."
“I know.” Wen Nian replied without hesitation.
Shen Yishu smiled, then lifted her skirt and left.
When her figure disappeared from his sight, Wen Nian's expression instantly turned cold.
He walked slowly forward, and the two men who had been whispering gradually revealed their true forms.
Wen Nian scoffed.
The two men turned around in alarm at the noise. When they saw Wen Nian and his group, they were initially startled, but then became somewhat annoyed.
"Don't you have any manners? How could you eavesdrop on other people's conversations?"
Wen Nian retorted sarcastically, "With you all speaking so loudly, why would I need to eavesdrop?"
"You heard everything?" The man looked a little guilty and exchanged a glance with his companion.
Wen Nian took out a blue pocket watch from his breast pocket and fiddled with it in his hand. He walked closer to the two of them and said, "I heard you."
A flicker of panic crossed their eyes, followed by a defiant look. "So what if we heard? We were just telling the truth."
"I don't know if it's the truth, but I do know that there are two toads who want to eat swan meat. They're ugly, but they dream big. If they can't get it, they slander it."
Wen Nian's words, coupled with his sarcastic expression, infuriated the two of them.
At that moment, they no longer cared what they had said and immediately retorted angrily, "Who the hell are you? Do you have any right to speak here?"
"Your name is Wen Nian, right? We've never heard of you before. Are you really angry because we were right about you being a gigolo?"
The two felt they had given a resounding counterattack and exchanged a sly smile.
But Wen Nian's expression remained unchanged; only the cold smile and sarcasm at the corners of his mouth deepened.
As Wen Nian approached step by step, the two felt a chill run down their spines. The pocket watch he was playing with in his well-defined hands seemed to radiate a cold light.
"What...what do you want to do?"
Wen Nian said in a nonchalant tone, as if he were chatting casually, "You guys are disgusting, I want to beat you up."
"You dare?" one of them shouted angrily. In his opinion, Wen Nian wouldn't dare even if he had ten times the courage.
Not to mention that their family is well-known in Lucheng, if they were to get beaten up while attending a banquet at the Shen family's residence, Wen Nian would definitely be in serious trouble.
Both of them were very confident in this, and they couldn't help but raise their heads, a sense of superiority given to them by their privileged upbringing.
But Wen Nian's powerful punch stunned them.
The person who was hit staggered a few steps and fell to the ground, sitting there for a long time, unable to recover.

Seeing that the two were in a daze, Wen Nian then hypnotized them.
A gentle fragrance wafted in the air, and the pocket watch ticked away.
Shen Yishu, who had pretended to leave but then returned, took in everything.
After putting the pocket watch away, Wen Nian realized there was a fourth person. His eyes sharpened, and he looked behind him with the keenness of an eagle.
Upon seeing that it was Shen Yishu, the wariness and coldness in his eyes turned into astonishment and panic.
His suit jacket was open, and his white shirt was stained with blood, giving him a somewhat oppressive look in the darkness.
Wen Nian was somewhat at a loss when she saw that she remained silent for a long time.
Why are you back?
Shen Yishu smiled and said, "I never planned to leave."
Wen Nian: "..."
The two looked at each other for a while, and then Shen Yishu suddenly smiled.
She lifted her skirt and walked towards Wen Nian, her nose slightly red, whether from the wind or something else, it was hard to tell.
When Wen Nian saw that her white skirt was about to touch his bloodied hand, he instinctively hid his hand behind his back.
