Chapter 73 Meeting the Leader

"That was caused by an attack from a nearby tribe."

This time, the pangolin, with its black scales and sturdy claws, spoke before the rhinoceros.

"After all, the settlement of Gu Zun Tang is too large, making it an easy target for some of the surrounding races. We are frequently attacked, and our buildings are often severely damaged."

"Fortunately, there is a leader guarding the Ancient Zun Hall, otherwise it would not be as simple as just renovating the building."

The black-scaled pangolin began to express his gratitude after saying this.

"Frequently?"

Zhang Heng seemed to have thought of something. He looked at the white rabbit and asked.

"Does 'frequently' mean that all nearby races frequently launch attacks? Or does it refer to a single race?"

The white rabbit looked up blankly, biting his fingers lightly as he recalled.

"It's the Wolf Tribe, no, they call themselves the Five Violent Wolf Tribes. They were responsible for most of the destruction in the past. Fortunately, although we suffered heavy losses each time, there weren't many casualties."

"As the name suggests, the Five Violent Wolves have five major branches, namely the Blue Storm Wolves, the Blood Shadow Violent Wolves, the White Moon Violent Wolves, the Trickery Violent Wolves, and the Black Demon Violent Wolves."

"These five branches each have their own unique characteristics, and most are between level 10 and 15. The Blue Storm Wolf is the fastest, the Blood Shadow Wolf is the most brutal and bloodthirsty, the White Moon Wolf can amplify other companions in battle, greatly increasing their strength, the Trickery Wolf can reduce the enemy's attributes, and finally, the Black Demon Wolf is the branch with the strongest overall strength."

The white rabbit not only answered Zhang Heng's questions, but also gave a detailed introduction to the five violent wolf tribes.

"With powerful enemies lurking outside, it seems the human race is living in extreme fear!"

Zhang Heng sighed in thought, a gleam of light flashed in his eyes.

"Alas! Who says it isn't? But the world is now full of crises. Just being alive is a great blessing. And all this is the result of the leader's wise leadership."

There was a hint of fanaticism in Rhino's tone this time.

"I'm really looking forward to meeting the leader!"

Zhang Heng smiled mysteriously.

Not long after, Zhang Heng and his beasts passed through the settlement and arrived at the rock wall at the back.

A huge, pitch-black cave entrance appeared before them. It was twenty meters wide and eight meters high, with rough edges and exposed broken rocks.

The huge hole in front of him looked as if it had been blasted out by some terrifying monster with unimaginable brute force.

At this moment, beside Zhang Heng and his companions, cattle and horses were constantly transporting ore into the cave.

"Welcome our distinguished guests, please leave first!"

Suddenly, a deep, middle-aged man's voice rumbled out from the cave.

The voice is full of energy and righteousness, which easily makes people imagine the image of a majestic and steady middle-aged man.

However, although the cattle and horses obeyed the command of the deep voice and pulled the wooden cart back, they could not help but reveal anger and hatred in their eyes when they passed by Zhang Heng's beasts.

"The leader has spoken, let's go in!"

Rhino seemed not to notice these gazes and enthusiastically invited Zhang Heng in.

"Then obey your orders!"

Zhang Heng walked into the cave carelessly.

The white rabbit followed.

"Yes, Chief, I understand..."

Meanwhile, the rhino, wasp, pangolin, coyote, hound, and wildebeest were communicating with their leader through their minds. They nodded, their eyes flashing with ferocity as they followed Zhang Heng and the white rabbit.

The light inside the cave was dim, and Zhang Heng walked deeper on the road paved with small stones.

Finally he came to an open circular platform piled with a large amount of evolutionary ore.

There was no road ahead and a dark abyss below, so Zhang Heng could only stop.

"Chief, where are you?"

After looking around, Zhang Heng didn't see any other animals, so he shouted loudly.

For some reason, in this huge dark cave, apart from the crude evolution ore and concentrated evolution ore piled on the platform, there was not even a small insect.

It was eerily quiet.

"Haha! It's okay as long as you can hear my voice. I have a rough appearance, and I'm afraid it would scare you if I showed it."

A few seconds after Zhang Heng asked the question, a deep voice suddenly resounded in the cave.

"Hey! You're quite self-aware. You know you're ugly, so you don't come out to scare people. Just for this reason, you're a legitimate leader."

"But no matter what, an ugly daughter-in-law still has to meet her parents-in-law. You're not showing up, which makes it very difficult for me to deal with it!"

Zhang Heng lazily lay in the middle of the platform, stroking his round belly and teasing.

"Watch your mouth, field mouse! The leader is deeply concerned about the survival of his compatriots and has devoted himself to them. How can we allow you to deceive the emperor?"

When the coyote heard Zhang Heng's disrespectful words, its hair stood up and it started barking wildly.

"What a deceitful act! You didn't understand the wolf, but you have mastered the essence of the dog."

Zhang Heng's words were harsh, and he clearly sensed the malice of these people. He didn't bother to act like everyone was clapping their hands and making friends.

"you……"

The coyote was so angry that he almost couldn't breathe. He wanted to slap the smooth-talking field mouse to death on the spot, but when he thought of the latter's strength, he couldn't help but retract his claws in disappointment and could only stare at Zhang Heng viciously.

"Vole, what you said is too much. How can you squeeze the leader like this?"

The white rabbit also puffed up its cheeks and glared at Zhang Heng fiercely.

"Alright! Coyote, rabbit, and vole are obviously joking with me. Why take them so seriously? I'm actually quite happy. After all, it's been a while since I've met such a humorous compatriot."
