Chapter 222 A Super Cop Above Superheroes (Part 4)

Chapter 223 A Super Cop Above Superheroes (Part 4)

"ah……"

Less than ten minutes after the last scream, some of the timid girls started screaming again.

Lin Feng really didn't know what these girls were called. You can call them that, but why are they still crawling into other people's arms?

Moreover, these scenes didn't have anything to scream about; on the contrary, they made Raymond Lam extremely nervous and excited.

If the initial car chase on the mountaintop showed Raymond Lam the charm of Dragon Movies, then what Dragon Movies did next was astonishing.

Climbing a bus with bare hands!

An umbrella hangs from a bus, and people sway on the bus!

In every single incident, the protagonist displayed a fearless spirit.

These exciting and thrilling scenes, when shown in the movie, didn't make Raymond Lam feel out of place at all.

It's as if there really is such a super cop who would relentlessly pursue a criminal.

However, when the protagonist's painstaking efforts failed to track down the criminal, Lin Feng suddenly realized something.

This sudden shift abruptly pulled the audience back from the tense atmosphere, allowing everyone to witness another side of the protagonist.

To put it simply, the image of the super cop is instantly enriched.

Admittedly, in terms of character development, Captain America falls a little short of Super Cop—well, maybe two or three points at most…

Next up are the familiar action sequences from Dragon Movies: all sorts of death-defying fight scenes and hilarious moments, all told in detail throughout the film.

Before we knew it, the movie was nearing its end, and the protagonist began his final showdown with the villain, bringing the story to its climax.

Bang bang bang!

The equally exciting and thrilling fight scenes left Raymond Lam trembling with fear.

He had lost count of how many panes of glass had been shattered in this battle in the shopping mall.

It seems that every villain's henchman breaks several pieces of glass, and of course, the protagonist is no exception. Roughly speaking, he probably breaks close to a hundred pieces of glass.

"I don't know if these glass pieces are props. If they are real, then these actors are really going all out."

Suddenly, Lin Feng had this thought: based on his understanding of action movies, these actions were very likely real, but the glass was probably a prop.

After all, if these actions were to involve real glass, just watching them would make one feel sore all over. Even actors probably wouldn't agree to use real glass for the falls, since glass can be fatal!

Holy crap!

This wasn't Lin Feng's shout, but rather the shout from the guy next to him who hadn't been able to get a girlfriend's attention. He shouted the moment the protagonist jumped off the mall pole, then snuggled into his girlfriend's arms.

The girlfriend was clearly startled by her boyfriend's actions, but she quickly recovered and hugged him tightly. Lin Feng saw that his boyfriend had a smug look on his face.

That's too much.

Lin Feng angrily turned his gaze to the screen. The scene of him jumping off the telephone pole, with sparks flying and lightning flashing, was shown more than once and repeated several times.

Lin Feng noticed this subtle detail instantly. He subconsciously stared at the screen, a terrifying thought popping into his mind: "Could these electric lights be real too?"

The idea lingered in his mind from the moment it appeared, so much so that he didn't pay much attention to the ending. Like Captain America, it ended with justice prevailing, but the super cop's journey was more complicated and the story was more complete.

After returning home, he couldn't wait to go online and read the netizens' analyses of Super Cop and Super Captain. It was clear that some people genuinely liked them, while others genuinely disliked them.

Ring ring.

As Lin Feng was watching, he suddenly heard his phone ring. He picked it up and saw that it was William calling.

It's so late now, why is the other party calling?

The thought was quickly dismissed because it was nighttime for Lin Feng while it was daytime for William, and the time difference between the two was different.

"Hello," Lin Feng said after taking William's call.

"Mr. Raymond Lam, how's the box office performance of Super Captain?"

It turns out they were inquiring about box office figures.

Lin Feng had just breathed a sigh of relief when he was suddenly startled.

No, that's not right. There's no reason the other party wouldn't see the box office figures; that's not his goal.

Hearing the cheerful tone in the other person's voice, Lin Feng calmly told William about the box office results of Super Captain.

"How did the Super Cop movie do at the box office? Did it outperform Captain Super by a significant margin?"

No matter how you listened, Lin Feng could tell that William's tone carried a hint of smugness.

He was somewhat puzzled.

Please, we're on the same side. Why are you happy that Dragon's movie is the box office champion?

Even so, Raymond Lam still told William about the box office performance of Super Cop.

William laughed after hearing this, "That's pretty much what I thought. Dragon movies are just as popular no matter where they are."

"Mr. William, I don't understand why you're so enthusiastic about Dragon movies. You know, the box office of Captain Super is what we should be focusing on, since it's the movie we're showing," Lin Feng asked, voicing his doubts.

“Mr. Raymond Lam, don’t you understand? It’s not that I’m a fan of Dragon movies, but I’ve experienced this scene before, it’s just in a different place now. Since I’ve been through it, I can definitely accept the ending.”

"You've experienced this before?" Lin Feng asked, puzzled.

"Yes, back then there was a Marvel movie that went up against Dragon's Super Cop, and then lost to Dragon's movie."

The special effects did grab attention to some extent, but compared to the dragon's human body effects, they were still somewhat detached from reality.
