Chapter 97 The Song's Breath Reached Ten Thousand Miles, Seven Songs of Frost Startled the Nine Provinces
A December morning.
"Obadi, Obadi..."
Jue Lun, who was fast asleep, was awakened by his roommate's noisy alarm clock. He opened his sleepy eyes and looked at his roommate with slight dissatisfaction.
It's always the same; my roommate's alarm clock can never wake him up.
After glancing at the time, Jue Lun suppressed his anger, quickly got out of bed, and turned off his roommate's alarm.
"Another boring and tedious day."
After washing up, Jue Lun checked the time. It was still early, so he took out his phone and subconsciously opened Bilibili.
I stayed up until midnight last night. There were very few bloggers updating, so I quickly watched all the latest videos.
Bored out of my mind, I stumbled upon the homepage's featured videos, which at first glance didn't seem particularly surprising.
Upon closer inspection, Jue Lun's body tensed, and his eyes gradually changed from oval to spherical.
Wow!
When she saw what was on the screen, Jue Lun suddenly screamed.
"Hey, what's all the noise about so early in the morning? Do you want me to punch you in the chest with my little fists?"
"You woke up Dad, so you're buying breakfast today."
My roommate muttered curses.
"Breakfast is on me, Young Master Lun! Everyone get up, it's time for class!"
Jue Lun stared intently at his phone for a long time, then stood up with a big smile and said loudly.
"Oh, is there some good news today? Did Second Brother lose his virginity last night?"
"Bullshit, what does losing your virginity off-campus have to do with being on campus?" my roommate, the second oldest, said.
"Stop comparing, I'm in a good mood today, eat it or don't!" Jue Lun ignored his roommate's madness.
He couldn't wait to tell others the news.
However, as soon as Jue Lun opened the King Kong group, he found that ninety-nine messages had popped up.
"Holy crap, I only saw it this morning!"
Jue Lun read through all the messages and then exclaimed in surprise.
Liu Wei, as if he lived in the group chat, spoke up: "You have no idea how surprised we were when we heard this news last night."
“I still find it hard to believe!” Zhang San replied immediately.
"Who the hell could have imagined that so many top-tier singers would release songs together!"
Manager Zhou didn't sleep all night; he was completely numb, yet he experienced a bittersweet feeling.
"Damn it, I've been working overtime since last night, and I can't even keep up with the recommendation process!"
"Guys, tell me, what happened last night? I'm totally confused when I woke up this morning!"
Jue Lun replied quickly.
Liu Wei spoke first:
"You went to bed early last night, unaware that Weibo was in an uproar."
"First, Hu Tianci suddenly announced at 9 pm that he would release a new song."
"Then Zhuang Xinrong posted on Weibo, announcing that she would be releasing a new song."
"Last night, Deng Yunxi joined in and announced the release of a new song."
Liu Wei typed all the way through, and his fingers felt a little numb.
Jue Lun stared at the contents, speechless, his eyes filled with disbelief.
Is this true?
“It’s true, that’s why Weibo exploded last night. To be precise, the entire internet exploded,” Zhang San replied.
Gurgle.
He swallowed hard, his mind completely blank.
"Wh-when will the song be released?" he asked cautiously, as if afraid it was all a dream.
"Today!"
The three answered in unison.
"Holy crap!"
My roommate was startled awake when Jue Lun slapped him hard.
"Little Lunzi, how dare you spank Daddy!"
"Are you crazy? My dad's in so much pain!"
"Oh~, again!"
All three roommates were abruptly and violently woken up, and none of them were sleepy anymore.
Even so, Jue Lun was still speechless with joy.
He couldn't resist running to the sink and splashing his face with cold water.
However, after jumping around in place several times, he gradually recovered, but his heart rate was still alarmingly high.
"This is not a dream!"
"This is fucking real!"
Jue Lun looked at the messages on Weibo, his eyes shining with an unusually bright light.
"Hey guys, what's the exact time?"
Jue Lun was too lazy to look through them all; he was now eager to know when the song would be released.
"The earliest release time is 9:00 AM on the Tencent Music platform!"
Not to mention Liu Wei was excited, even the other three, after so much time had passed, could not hide their joy.
The release of these singers' songs is like beating drums to declare war, sounding the clarion call for the charge.
The Weibo trending topics were packed with posts, and even amidst the prominent reports of the cold wave, a closer look revealed a strong message of retaliation.
After such a long period of silence, it's time for the Chinese music scene to fight back.
As time went by and it approached nine o'clock, even attending class couldn't suppress my overwhelming excitement.
He took out his phone, ready to dawdle, but as the countdown reached the last second, the screen suddenly went black.
Immediately afterwards, a message popped up on the homepage, which was a new song by Hu Tianci and others.
"Hu Tianci brings you 'Forget Time' and 'June Rain'."
Two songs?
Jue Lun was stunned before he even clicked on it.
He thought there was only one song, but it turned out there were two.
After a brief moment of disorientation, he was overwhelmed with ecstasy.
I don't care how many songs there are, I'll buy them all!
I just clicked in, and before I could even listen, a new message popped up.
"Zhuang Xinrong arrives as promised with 'Ten Thousand Reluctances' and 'Love Prisoner'."
Two songs.
It's not over yet.
"Deng Yunxi is coming with a bang with 'No matter how far apart we are, we will be together,' 'Light Years Away,' and 'Bubble.'"
