Chapter 206 A Romantic and Fulfilling Proposal (Part 2)
After landing in the UK and adjusting to the time difference for two days, Qu He went to see Qi Mo the following day.
When I returned, it was already evening, and I happened to run into Zhuang Bieyan and the photographer discussing the details of the shoot.
She went back to her bedroom to change her clothes and came out to find the photographer had already left.
"How did the chat go?" He put his arm around her waist and placed a light kiss on her forehead.
“Great, the teacher gave me a lot of advice.”
Qu He's eyes sparkled. "The photographer's gone?"
"Hmm." Zhuang Bieyan ruffled her hair. "Are you tired? Go rest on the sofa for a while. I made you some brown sugar water, I'll go get it for you."
Qu He felt a warmth in her heart. Yesterday, Britain had just entered winter time. Although it didn't rain, the chill was noticeably stronger.
She nestled into the sofa facing the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, took out her phone, took a few photos of London Bridge outside the window, which was already lit up, and sent them to Si Yue.
However, perhaps due to the time difference, Si Yue has not returned yet.
She tapped a few more times on her phone, but after hearing footsteps coming from the kitchen, she immediately returned to the original screen.
Zhuang Bieyan brought in brown sugar water, saying, "Be careful, it's hot."
He handed it to her, then went to the dressing room and changed her into a softer cashmere blanket, which he then placed over her legs.
Qu He held the cup, sipping it slowly. Watching him take such good care of her, happiness filled her heart, and she couldn't help but smile.
"What are you laughing at?"
Qu He leaned into his arms and looked up at him, saying, "It's nothing, I was just thinking how wonderful my husband is."
This heartfelt praise was like a feather gently brushing against Zhuang Bieyan's heart.
His eyes narrowed, a ripple of pleasure spreading across them, and he leaned closer to her: "So, is there any reward?"
Qu He smiled and leaned forward to plant a sweet, brown sugar-scented kiss on his lips.
However, just as she was about to back away, Zhuang Bieyan grabbed the back of her head and deepened the kiss.
"No, please..."
Qu He was still holding the cup in her hand, and could only push him with one hand, making a muffled protest.
Zhuang Bieyan reluctantly stepped back slightly, his nose still affectionately pressed against her face, and began to act like a rogue: "Before we came, someone promised to advance the quota for the next few days."
Qu He: "Didn't we agree to pause once we started taking wedding photos?"
"yes,"
Zhuang Bieyan chuckled, glancing meaningfully at the night view outside the window. "Right now, the wedding photos haven't even started yet. There are still five hours until midnight."
Before he finished speaking, he took the cup from her hand, placed it on the small coffee table, and then stretched out his long arm to lift her up from the sofa, pulling her close to him.
Outside the window, the lights along the banks of the Thames shone even brighter.
London Bridge is one of the world's most famous moving bridges. Its lower level is a drawbridge that can be opened. Whenever a tall ship passes through, the bridge will separate and rise, making it a unique sight in London.
Qu He was originally immersed in his kiss, lost in passion.
But soon they realized that Zhuang Bieyan was carrying her not towards the bedroom, but towards the floor-to-ceiling window facing London Bridge.
"Zhuang Bieyan, go...go to your room."
However, Zhuang Bieyan ignored it.
He embraced her from behind, making her face the dazzling lights outside the window.
"Hey, look, isn't London Bridge especially beautiful tonight?"
Their apartment was located on a high floor with an excellent view.
Qu He's waist was so weak that she could barely stand and had to rely entirely on his arms for support.
She was forced to open her blurry eyes and look out the window.
Just then, the sound of a ship's horn came from afar.
Vehicles and pedestrians on London Bridge were blocked at both ends of the bridge.
Under the watchful eyes of countless tourists and citizens, the bridge slowly opened up from the middle.
A magnificent sightseeing cruise ship, sounding its horn, slowly sailed through the archway.
"Ahe, did you see that?"
Zhuang Bieyan's voice was tense and excited as he whispered in her ear, as if sharing a secret that only they knew.
"Yes, I saw it."
Qu He's consciousness was half submerged and half conscious.
Zhuang Bieyan gently lifted her chin, forcing her to look at the cruise ship passing through the archway.
"London Bridge is open."
She responded weakly, and his lips landed a kiss on the back of her neck.
Qu He felt as if a butterfly had paused there for a moment, its wings fluttering against her skin, causing her to shudder.
"Do you see that ship?" He tightened his arms around it.
"I saw it."
Tell me, what did you see?
"The boat entered the bridge arch, and then it sailed past."
She answered haltingly, the scene before her blurred by tears, but the image of the ship passing through the open iron bridge remained etched in her mind.
"Is it pretty?" he pressed, his movements continuing.
"nice."
"I think it looks good too,"
Zhuang Bieyan chuckled softly, his voice filled with satisfaction and pleasure. He leaned down and said, "The scenery is especially beautiful tonight."
As night deepened, the cruise ship slowly passed by, and the bridge closed again.
But the enchanting atmosphere inside the house was far from over.
Qu He was picked up by Zhuang Bieyan and carried to the bedroom.
On the small coffee table, the brown sugar water had long since cooled, leaving only half a cup standing there forlornly, a testament to the warmth that had just occurred and the passion that followed.
Quhe's period started on the second day.
At that moment, her only thought was whether Zhuang Bieyan had planned it all out, how could the timing be so perfect.
Fortunately, I didn't have menstrual cramps this time, just some lower back pain and fatigue.
Zhuang Bieyan originally wanted to postpone the filming by one day, but Qu He refused.
She had her own little plan in mind, afraid of disrupting the rhythm.
Seeing her resolute attitude and the fact that she didn't look unwell, Zhuang Bieyan reluctantly agreed, but still instructed the photographer and assistant to keep a close eye on her condition and stop immediately if she showed any signs of discomfort.
On the day of the shoot, the London sky was perfect, with warm sunshine and a gentle breeze.
They wore wedding dresses and suits, carrying bouquets, and walked from Hyde Park to the London Eye and then to Big Ben.
Every scene captured their sweet interactions and affectionate gazes.
Passersby, regardless of nationality or age, would smile and offer their blessings upon seeing them.
Over the next few days, they continued northward as planned.
From London to Cambridge, through the streets of Glasgow, across the Scottish Highlands, and finally to Edinburgh.
They took their last shot along the A82, hailed as "one of the most beautiful roads in the world," at the Isle of Skye, the end of the world.
The final day of filming took place in a church in Edinburgh.
Sunlight streamed through the stained-glass windows, creating beams of light.
There is a cross directly in front of the church, and a curved screen has been temporarily installed below it.
After the last set of wedding photos was taken, Qu He went to the adjacent lounge for touch-ups.
The photographer approached Zhuang Bieyan and said, "Mr. Zhuang, we need to reshoot a scene in the wedding video. It's very simple. Just stand here, and when the screen lights up, follow the prompts and make a turning-around gesture."
Zhuang nodded to indicate that he understood.
"Okay, ready, go!" the photographer gestured.
The church fell silent, with only the faint sound of machinery operating.
Suddenly, the huge curved screen lit up, and the light dispelled the darkness in one corner of the church.
Zhuang Bieyan looked at the screen as instructed, preparing to turn around and look back.
However, instead of the preset text prompt, what appeared on the screen was a flickering image that looked like an old videotape rewinding, accompanied by a "sizzling" noise.
He was slightly taken aback.
Immediately afterwards, the image stabilized, and Qu He's face appeared in the center of the screen.
