Chapter 81, 53rd Flower

Chapter 81 The 53rd Flower

Qu He turned around in surprise: "You know him?"

Zhuang Bieyan nodded: "Yes, we're quite familiar. Would you like me to arrange a time for you to meet formally?"

Qu He waved her hand in refusal, "Let's forget about it. Such a big boss must be very busy. If he knew about my dream, he might find it very funny."

"How could that be? I think he must know a lot about this."

"How could that be?"

Qu He chuckled, assuming he was just trying to comfort himself, "That was my childhood dream, it's so niche, no one would know."

She was quickly drawn to the sunset over the river and soon forgot about what he had said.

Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, filling the entire living room and enveloping her, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

Zhuang Bieyan stood behind her, watching her silhouette bathed in the golden light of the setting sun, his eyes overflowing with tenderness.

Ah-He, welcome to our home.

This is our first year.

This is also the first dream I made possible for you.

......

The move was officially on the agenda, and Qu He packed her luggage in less than half a day.

Before leaving, she stood downstairs at Baiyu Bay, looking up at that familiar window, filled with reluctance.

Zhuang Bieyan quietly stayed by her side, without urging her, simply holding her hand the whole time.

Qu He took one last look, then looked away. "Let's go."

Zhuang Bieyan held her hand tightly, "If you ever miss this place, we can come back to live here anytime."

Qu He deliberately put on a stern face and looked at him, "Zhuang Bieyan, if you ever make me angry again, I'll move back here by myself and you'll never be able to find me again."

Before she could finish speaking, Zhuang Bieyan pulled her into a tight embrace. "I won't give you that chance."

Ah He, wherever you go, I will find you.

On the first day of moving into Wanhua Garden, Quhe decided to celebrate the housewarming with a little ceremony.

Zhuang Bieyan's eyes lit up with anticipation. He had thought it would be a time for just the two of them, but the next second he saw Qu He take out her phone and make one call after another.

"Sister Liuyue! Are you free tonight?"

"Siyue, stop busy, come over for dinner tonight!"

"Sister Jiayu! Are you free to come over tonight?"

With each additional person invited, Zhuang Bieyan's expression visibly darkened.

Qu He hung up the phone with Zhuang Liuyue, counted the number of people, and suddenly remembered something.

She said to Zhuang Bieyan, "I don't have Yu Shan's contact information. Why don't you invite him?"

Zhuang Bieyan frowned: "Do we need to invite so many people?"

"You just don't understand!"

Qu He smiled and said, "This is called a housewarming party. The more friends come, the more blessings and good fortune the new home will have!"

She wants to get rich!

Zhuang Bieyan: "Yu Shan is busy."

Qu He glared at him, annoyed: "You didn't even ask!"

Ultimately, under Qu He's threats, Zhuang Bieyan gave in and reluctantly called Yu Shan in front of her.

Qu He nodded in satisfaction, then rubbed her hands together and announced, "To celebrate, Chef Qu will personally demonstrate her skills tonight and cook one of my signature dishes!"

Zhuang Bieyan was so jealous he was about to explode.

He hasn't even tasted her cooking yet, and these people are already enjoying it?

“No,” he immediately rejected, his reasoning sound and irrefutable, “you were injured last time.”

"Oh dear, that was just a minor accident."

Finally, after Qu He made a solemn promise and agreed to a series of unequal treaties, Zhuang Bieyan reluctantly nodded and approved her application to return to the culinary world, but only for one dish.

She excitedly dragged Zhuang Bieyan to the supermarket to buy groceries, and Zhuang Bieyan followed behind her pushing the shopping cart, watching her agonize over two tomatoes that looked indistinguishable from each other.

"Which ingredient is better for making scrambled eggs with tomatoes?"

But in the end she chose cucumber because she couldn't decide whether to add salt or sugar to the tomato and egg stir-fry, so she changed it to cucumber and egg stir-fry at the last minute.

On my way home after buying groceries, I passed a flower shop on the street corner.

The exquisite entrance immediately caught Qu He's attention. Her eyes lit up, and she immediately asked Zhuang Bieyan to stop the car.

"Let's go inside and take a look, and buy some flowers to put at home."

She pulled him to push open the glass door, and the wind chimes made a crisp tinkling sound.

The store is decorated in a very stylish way, full of luxury, like accidentally stepping into spring, which shows that the owner has excellent taste.

Hearing the noise, the boss came out from the inner room and greeted them warmly.

She is a beautiful woman with a gentle and graceful demeanor.

Upon seeing Zhuang Bieyan, the beautiful boss greeted him familiarly: "Mr. Zhuang? You've come in person today? And the same as before, fifty-three pink lychees?"

When Qu He heard the boss call out Zhuang Bieyan's name, she was surprised. When she heard the following sentence, "fifty-three pink lychees," her eyes widened even more.

She turned to look at the man beside her.

"Do you know the boss?"

Zhuang Bieyan's expression froze for a moment.

The beautiful boss glanced between Qu He and Zhuang Bieyan, then smiled knowingly: "This must be Miss Qu, right? Mr. Zhuang ordered flowers for you. I'm so glad to finally meet you in person. You're even more beautiful than I imagined."

Qu He smiled politely. Looking at the rare expression on Zhuang Bieyan's face, she had already guessed seven or eight parts of what was going on.

"Boss, did you help me pick out all those pink lychees I received before?"

"yes!"

The shop owner smiled and nodded. "Mr. Zhuang is one of our VVVVIP customers. He orders flowers every now and then, and he specifically asked us to choose the best and freshest flowers. Do you like them?"

"I really like it. But... every time I receive flowers, there are only fifty-two."

She looked at the shop owner. "You just said he ordered fifty-three roses?"

Upon hearing this, the shop owner explained, "Mr. Zhuang requested that the remaining flower be packaged separately in a small glass bottle, and he took it with him. He said..."

She paused, then smiled brightly, "He said that when her flower is almost withered, it will be time to send you a fresh bouquet."

Qu He's heart skipped a beat.

It turns out that those seamlessly connected fresh pink lychees were not a coincidence, but rather someone using this delicate and romantic method of timekeeping.

When Qu He left the flower shop, she was holding a bouquet of newly bought pink lychees in her arms. The fragrance lingered in her nose, but what was sweeter than the fragrance of the flowers was her heart.

Night was falling.

Yu Jiayu called unexpectedly to handle some matters with Gu Yu. Zhuang Xi was taken by Zhuang Yi to a neighboring city for vacation. In the end, only Si Yue, Zhuang Liuyue, and Yu Shan came.

Zhuang Bieyan still couldn't bear to let Qu He cook, and he didn't even cook himself, but directly arranged for a private chef team to come to his home to cook.

Looking at the table full of exquisite dishes, Yu Shan sighed regretfully, "Sigh, I thought I would finally get to eat some dishes made by the second brother himself today, but it seems I won't have that good fortune."

Qu He laughed and replied, "You've known each other for so long, how could you not be able to eat his cooking?"

Yu Shan: "Him? Forget it. If you eat one meal with him, he'll rip you off."

Qu He: "Then next time you come, I'll make it for you."

Yu Shan's eyes lit up, and he was about to reply when he met Zhuang Bieyan's gaze.

He immediately swallowed back what he was about to say, touched his nose, and buried his head in his food.

The commotion subsided, and night fell.

After taking a shower, Qu He went to the terrace to look at the river view.

The night breeze, carrying the dampness of the river, swept over me. The city lights and the winding river view were breathtaking.

She turned to look at the person who had just finished showering. "Zhuang Bieyan, shall we have some red wine to celebrate?"

Zhuang Bieyan quickly came over with a bottle of wine.

As he poured the wine, Qu He suddenly remembered something.

"Wait! Let me take my medicine first."

"Medicine?" Zhuang Bieyan paused. "What medicine? Are you feeling unwell?"

Qu He was amused by his nervous look and quickly explained, "It's nothing, just hangover medicine. You don't know, but I have a little problem. If I don't take medicine before drinking, I can't stop my tears from flowing."

After she finished speaking, she turned around and jogged back to her room.

Watching her run away, Zhuang Bieyan paused, his hand holding the wine bottle still.

So that's why she cried at the school anniversary ceremony last time?

An indescribable joy welled up inside her; she realized that her tears were not for Qian Zhaoye.

When Qu He returned after taking her medicine, she saw Zhuang Bieyan's upturned lips.

She asked him curiously, "What did you see? Why are you laughing so happily?"

Zhuang Bieyan snapped out of his reverie, looked down at her, his eyes filled with unwavering tenderness.

He reached out and gently tucked a strand of her wind-blown hair behind her ear. "It's nothing, I just think... the moonlight is especially beautiful tonight."

The two drank together, enjoying the river view and starlight.

Qu He's face flushed, and her eyes began to look dreamy and soft.

Zhuang Bieyan took the wine glass from her hand: "It's getting late, it's time to go to sleep."

He led her to the bedroom.

The door closed, and Qu He was laid down on the bed by him. His kisses quickly landed, forceful yet tender.

It tastes like red wine.

"Hmm...."

Qu He was overwhelmed by his sudden kiss and finally got a chance to catch her breath.

She protested softly, "I...I didn't even go into the kitchen last night. What happened to the dish you promised?"

Zhuang Bieyan chuckled softly, his fingers tracing her lips. "It's alright, consider it... an advance payment for the next time."

Qu He's remaining words were completely sealed.

The river view outside the window remains the same, only the moonlight slowly hides behind the clouds.

Only their intertwined breaths remained in the bedroom.

The night was long; their first night together had only just begun.
