Chapter 86 Tonight, you mustn't hold back.

Chapter 86 Tonight, you mustn't hold back.

Qian Zhaoye chased after them out of the private room and saw the two figures.

Zhuang Bieyan half-embraced Qu He, displaying a strong possessiveness.

Qian Zhaoye thought he was seeing things and almost bumped into the door frame.

Zhuang Bieyan looked up at the sound and his gaze fell on Qian Zhaoye. He tightened his arm around Qu He.

Qian Zhaoye suppressed the turmoil in his heart and reached out his hand to Qu He: "Ahe, come here."

Qu He didn't move.

Zhuang Bieyan looked at Qian Zhaoye and spoke calmly but with a hint of authority: "Mr. Qian, my wife is not available."

"Madam?" Qian Zhaoye frowned. "What do you mean by that, Mr. Zhuang?"

Zhuang Bieyan glanced at Qu He, whose eyes were red at the corners, and gently stroked the top of her head before raising his eyes again. "Let me introduce myself. I am Qu He's husband."

"Impossible!" Qian Zhaoye retorted without even thinking.

He looked at Qu He, his eyes filled with urgent confirmation, "Ahe, isn't your husband the man who runs the flower shop? How could he be Zhuang Bieyan?"

Qiao Mian clearly told him that she had personally seen Qu He's husband as an ordinary person who ran a flower shop, so how could he be Zhuang Bieyan?

Impossible! Absolutely impossible!

Ignoring his questioning, Zhuang Bieyan pulled Qu He closer to his chest and repeated, "I am Qu He's husband, legally recognized."

Qian Zhaoye's mind went blank for a moment, and he staggered back a few steps.

He suddenly remembered something, took out his phone, and started scrolling through his chat history. He scrolled for several minutes before finally finding the chat box at the very bottom. Last time they were drinking, someone mentioned that Zhuang Bieyan was already married and even sent him a picture of his wife's back.

He trembled as he opened the photo, zoomed in, and zoomed in again, until he saw the woman's familiar profile...

It's a bougainvillea! It really is a bougainvillea!

He opened his mouth, but his throat felt tight, and he couldn't utter a single word.

He only learned from the HR manager a few days ago that Qu He had already submitted her resignation and completed the procedures cleanly and efficiently.

He always thought that her leaving the company was just a tantrum and that she would regret it sooner or later. After all, she had been with him for seven years and had long been used to the life he provided.

He had even planned how he would reprimand her and how he would generously forgive her when she returned.

But he never expected that not only would she not turn back, but she would also marry Zhuang Bieyan!

That man who stands at the top of the pyramid, a man even he has to look up to!

What makes her so special? What makes her so good to be after leaving him? How could she possibly deserve him?

Overwhelmed by extreme jealousy and anger, Qian Zhaoye rushed forward and tried to grab Qu He's hand. "Ahe, come with me, I have something to ask you!"

But before his hand could even touch Qu He, it was grabbed by Zhuang Bieyan in mid-air.

Zhuang Bieyan's strength was astonishing, and his eyes were cold and devoid of any warmth: "President Qian, please have some self-respect."

"Self-respect?"

Qian Zhaoye's heart skipped a beat at his gaze, but he stubbornly refused to back down. "President Zhuang probably doesn't know, does he? Qu He has been with me for seven years! And you two have only been married for a short time?"

Zhuang Bieyan loosened his grip on his hand.

He turned to the side, completely shielding Qu He behind him, and looked at Qian Zhaoye's flushed face, saying, "Seven years. My future with Ahe is a lifetime. Your seven years are nothing to worry about."

Qian Zhaoye was speechless and his face turned ashen.

He stared intently at Zhuang Bieyan, as if trying to find even the slightest hint of concern on his face, but all he saw was composure and determination.

Qu He finally caught her breath. She tugged at the hem of Zhuang Bieyan's dress, her voice tinged with weariness: "Let's go home. There's no need to talk to him."

Zhuang Bieyan immediately replied, "Okay, let's go home."

Seeing that the two had actually turned and left, Qian Zhaoye's anger finally erupted. He shouted at their backs, "Qu He! You believed him just because he said he didn't mind? You're really incredibly stupid!"

He scoffed, "What kind of family is the Zhuang family? Do you think they'd allow you to marry a woman like that? No family background, no connections, and she's even secondhand..."

Qu He turned pale upon hearing his words.

Zhuang Bieyan's gaze turned completely somber, and the atmosphere around him became so oppressive it was suffocating.

Qian Zhaoye became even more reckless, "The woman I don't want, is President Zhuang so interested in? During the seven years I spent with her, didn't President Zhuang really feel any curiosity or disgust at all?"

Before he could finish speaking, his collar was suddenly grabbed tightly, and Zhuang Bieyan lifted him up with one hand and slammed him against the wall behind him.

The shock nearly broke his bones.

Zhuang Bieyan grabbed his collar, his usually calm and composed face now filled with a terrifying ferocity.

He stared at Qian Zhaoye and squeezed out a few words through gritted teeth: "Looks like you're tired of this circle in Beicheng!"

Qian Zhaoye was being choked and struggling to breathe, his throat tightening, but he still stubbornly insisted, "I... I'm telling the truth! You dare say you really don't care?"

"Qian Zhaoye, that's enough!" Qu He rushed out from behind Zhuang Bieyan.

She grabbed Zhuang Bieyan's hand, "Don't argue with a madman, let's go home."

Zhuang Bieyan's chest heaved violently a few times, then he slowly released his grip and pulled Qu He behind him.

Qian Zhaoye clutched his neck, panting. Suddenly, he remembered Zhuang Bieyan's unusual reaction earlier and realized something.

He gave a mocking laugh, "You guys... hahaha... you haven't slept together yet, have you?"

Seeing the instant change in their expressions after he finished speaking, he seemed to regain his confidence.

Qian Zhaoye looked at Qu He and suddenly laughed, a morbid smugness in his eyes: "I guessed right, didn't I? Qu He, look! He still minds! He just looks down on you! He doesn't really love you at all, he..."

"Bang!"

A fist landed on Qian Zhaoye's face, interrupting him from saying anything more.

Blood trickled from the corner of Qian Zhaoye's mouth, but he seemed oblivious to the pain.

He lay on the ground, tilted his head back, and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Zhuang Bieyan hit someone!"

His shouts quickly attracted people from the next private room, and a few figures peeked out.

Qu He felt a pang of anxiety, fearing things would escalate, and quickly stepped forward to try and pull Zhuang Bieyan away.

Fortunately, Yu Shan arrived with several security guards and quickly separated the two.

Yu Shan pulled Zhuang Bieyan up and whispered, "Second brother, calm down. It's not worth it for someone like him."

...

The atmosphere inside the Maybach was eerily quiet.

Qu He glanced at the bandage on Zhuang Bieyan's knuckles. He hadn't uttered a sound since she started treating his wound.

Qu He felt guilty and a little sorry for Zhuang Bieyan, who was usually calm and composed, who had stood up for him today.

When they got home, he did what he always did: get her slippers and pour her water. His actions were impeccable, but Qu He knew he was angry.

Qu He took a shower first, and when she came out, he sat on the same sofa as before. Only after seeing her finish showering did Zhuang Bieyan silently take his clothes and head towards the bathroom.

"You... be careful with the wound on your hand, don't get it wet," Qu He said with concern.

"I understand." His voice was devoid of emotion.

Qu He lay on the bed listening to the sound of water coming from the bathroom, afraid that he would go to the study again after taking a shower, just like last time.

Fortunately, he went back to his bedroom this time.

Qu He looked at him. "Zhuang Bieyan, let's talk."

She told him everything that happened during the kiln opening ceremony and why she was at Zunyue that night.

At first she was calm, but when she talked about those grievances, she couldn't hold back and in the end, tears just fell down her face.

She didn't want to cry, feeling ashamed, but once her emotions overflowed, she couldn't stop.

Zhuang Bieyan was originally angry with himself. He was angry that he hadn't given her enough security, which led her to choose to face such things alone.

He couldn't bear to be angry with her at all, and now that he saw her crying, he felt even more guilty.

He reached out and pulled her into his arms tightly, wiping away her tears. He was filled with regret and heartache: "Don't cry, Ahe, don't cry. It's all my fault. I didn't notice your emotions. I made you sad."

She lied to him today and went to see Qian Zhaoye alone. Even though she knew rationally that Qu He could not possibly go back to him, what if she did?

What if she still has some feelings for him? What if she regrets choosing him? What should he do then?

This sense of uncertainty tormented him far more than anger.

Qu He buried her face in his chest and cried silently. She finally exhaled the breath that had been stuck in her chest, and her emotions strangely calmed down a lot.

Zhuang Bieyan gently patted her back, "That's not your fault, Ahe. Now you have me. Whatever you want to do, wherever you want to go, I'll go with you."

Under his gentle reassurance, Qu He gradually calmed down.

The bedroom fell silent again, with only the sound of each other's breathing remaining.

It was only then that Qu He belatedly realized how intimate and dangerous their current posture was.

She didn't know when she straddled his lap.

Qu He felt a little uncomfortable.

She subconsciously shifted her body, wanting to go down.

"Don't move." Zhuang Bieyan held her firmly in his arms.

Qu He recalled Qian Zhaoye's words.

“Farewell banquet for the Zhuang family…”

"Um."

"What Qian Zhaoye just said, you... um...."

Before she could even ask a question, his sudden kiss completely silenced her.

His kiss carried a force that left no room for refusal.

Finally, he bit her lips, as if punishing her or venting his anger.

"I don't want to hear his name." He pressed his forehead against hers, his breath hot.

Qu He looked into Zhuang Bieyan's eyes and saw a desire and possessiveness she had never seen before churning within them. Gone was his usual dignified and abstinent demeanor; he was like a beast in hiding.

Today, she seemed to have glimpsed another side of Zhuang Bieyan that no one else knew. Her heart trembled slightly, but she was not afraid. Instead, she felt an urge to comfort him and get closer to him.

She slowly reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaned in, and kissed his chin.

Zhuang Bieyan's body suddenly stiffened.

His voice was terrifyingly low, "Ahe, I'm a little angry today."

Qu He's heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively grabbed his hand.

“Therefore,” he declared, “...I will punish you.”

He held her in his arms, slowly sinking into the bed, trapping her beneath his shadow.

“Ah He,” he commanded breathlessly in her ear, “tonight…don’t hold back, I want to hear your voice.”
