Chapter 94 Zhuang Bieyan's White Moonlight (Part 2)
Si Yue finished the last bite of cake and continued, "Just ask! Senior, you should just ask President Zhuang. He'll definitely tell you."
In the few seconds that Si Yue was eating the cake, Qu He thought of many possible solutions.
They had considered observing secretly, probing indirectly, and even hiring a private investigator, but they never expected Si Yue's method to be so... simple and direct.
Qu He: "Huh? Just ask directly?"
Si Yue: "That's right! Who knows the situation better than the person involved? Given President Zhuang's attitude towards the senior, he will definitely tell you if you ask."
Qu He's lips twitched slightly.
What a... cunning strategist!
These words left her speechless.
She simply placed all her hopes on her.
But upon closer reflection, what she said doesn't seem to be entirely unreasonable.
After finishing the cake, the two parted ways. After getting into the car, Si Yue still clung to the window and reminded Qu He not to forget to ask Zhuang Bieyan when she got home.
When I got home, a professional dress styling team was already waiting at the door.
For the next few hours, Qu He felt like she had turned into a doll.
She tried on clothes and makeup in just a few hours, feeling like she had worn more clothes in a week than she had in a whole week.
Only when the last nude-colored strapless dress was put on did everyone nod in satisfaction.
After seeing everyone off, Qu He collapsed onto the sofa, exhausted. She glanced at the time; it was almost 5:30.
The sun sank into the horizon.
When Zhuang Bieyan got home, he saw a person lying on the sofa, half asleep, with his eyes almost closed and his hand still swiping on the screen uncontrollably.
He smiled helplessly, tiptoed forward, and took the phone from her hand.
Qu He woke up just as they picked her up and headed towards the bedroom.
"You're back?" Her voice was still heavy with sleepiness, and she seemed half-asleep.
"Hmm." Zhuang Bieyan looked at her sleepy eyes. "Were you tired this afternoon?"
Qu He nodded, "I tried on a lot of clothes."
Zhuang Bieyan kissed her forehead. "It was my oversight."
Qu He was laid down on the bed, and she felt like she had become a boiled egg, with the shell being peeled off little by little.
She yawned and opened her eyes to find that Zhuang Bieyan had almost stripped her clothes off.
Okay, so she really is a boiled egg.
Seeing that she was more awake, Zhuang Bieyan slowed down his movements. "Take a shower first. I have a dinner appointment and I'll be there soon."
Qu He nodded.
The next second, the world spun around, and she was picked up and carried into the bathroom.
"What? Didn't you want to take a shower?"
"Wash them together to save time."
Qu He: "...."
I'd never believe him.
The sound of splashing water echoed in the bathroom, occasionally interspersed with muffled sobs and low growls.
"That's enough! Zhuang Bieyan, I'm going to fall, stop..."
"Almost done, sweetie, almost..."
Night fell, and the stars began to appear.
When Qu He was carried out of the bathroom and placed on the bed, her whole body was sore and weak.
She endured the discomfort and, in a protest, kicked the man next to her.
Zhuang Bieyan took the blow squarely, then smiled and pulled her even tighter, expertly massaging her waist.
Qu He nestled comfortably in his arms.
"Would you like some food? Shall I bring it in?" Zhuang Bieyan asked.
"Let's go out to eat together later," she replied lazily.
"good."
Qu He enjoyed the rare tranquility, but her mind was a complete mess.
Questions about the white moonlight and the swallows grew like weeds.
Zhuang Bieyan looked down at the person lying in his arms with a furrowed brow. He had noticed her absent-mindedness from the moment he arrived.
"Did anything happen today?"
He only asked a symbolic question; if Qu He didn't answer, he could check it himself.
Qu He paused for a moment, then remembered what Si Yue had said, and hesitated before speaking, "Today, I ran into Qian Zhaoye."
Zhuang Bieyan paused for a moment.
Qu He briefly recounted the situation at the time, but deliberately omitted the part about the white moonlight.
“He always thought the person that night was Fang Ganming,” she said finally.
Zhuang Bieyan was silent for a moment, then tightened his arms and said with utmost seriousness, "Ahe, thank you for telling me."
A sense of comfort welled up inside him; at least Qu Heken had told him these things, which meant that there was more trust between them.
She was also trying to open up to him and show him her little world.
Qu He adjusted her posture, looked up at him, opened her mouth, and asked, "And you, Zhuang Bieyan? Is there anything you're hiding from me?"
"No," Zhuang Bieyan replied quickly.
He pulled her close, his chin brushing against the top of her head. "Why did you suddenly ask that?"
Qu He gently shook her head against his chest, suppressing her emotions: "I just suddenly thought of it and was just asking. It's good that you weren't hiding anything from me; I hate being lied to..."
She hid all her emotions and focused on preparing for the charity auction the next day.
The following evening, the black Maybach slowly drove into September Road.
September Road is lined with plane trees, their green shade blocking out the blue sky, and the white villa at the end of the road is the destination of tonight's auction.
This little villa has a long history and is never open to the public.
Qu He had only heard that this villa held a private auction every month, and that the final item would be auctioned off for an astronomical price each time. Only the rich and powerful could enter this place.
She never imagined she would end up here.
Security measures were implemented starting three blocks from the villa, with several checkpoints set up. Security guards in black suits could be seen at each intersection, and metal detectors and police dogs checked every passing vehicle.
Only their car had no trouble getting through and drove straight to the front of the villa.
Upon seeing their car, the security guard respectfully opened the gate.
The ornate wrought iron gate slowly opened and then slowly closed.
The villa has three floors and the interior is decorated in a retro Baroque style.
Upon entering, you'll see a huge gilded oil painting, and the crystal chandelier hanging overhead shines brightly, as if it were daytime. The thick, hand-woven carpet under your feet absorbs all the sound of your footsteps.
The two followed the waiter to the VIP waiting room on the third floor. Along the way, Qu He felt like a pair of eyes were watching her, and she felt inexplicably uneasy.
The private room is luxuriously furnished, and there is a one-way glass window opposite the main entrance, offering a panoramic view of the auction hall downstairs, ensuring excellent privacy.
The two had just sat down to rest when someone knocked on the door.
A butler dressed in a black suit and bow tie walked in, bowed, and said, "Young Master Bie Yan, the master requests your presence."
Zhuang nodded at the farewell banquet.
Qu He looked at him with a puzzled expression.
The host?
Young Master Bie Yan?
At this moment, Zhuang Bieyan stood up and reached out his hand to her, "Let's go."
Qu He was taken aback, then silently took his hand.
Just as I stepped out of the private room, a female voice with a foreign accent rang out from behind me: "Hey, Arthur!"
Qu He subconsciously turned around and saw a woman in a strapless black dress looking at Zhuang Bieyan with a beaming smile and an extremely intimate gaze.
After a while, she seemed to finally notice Qu He beside him, and a hint of curiosity and scrutiny flashed in her smiling eyes.
