Yanbao was playing with a rag doll when she heard her mother call her. She quietly raised her head to look at her mother, but when she saw her mother glaring at her, she lowered her head guiltily and quietly moved away, as if she wanted to run away.
Seeing her daughter's guilty yet adorable appearance, Zhou Quan was so touched that she wanted to speak up for her. Just as she was about to open her mouth, she met Li Mai's cold gaze and immediately dared not utter a sound. She secretly gave Zhuzhu a look.
Zhuzhu breathed a sigh of relief. "Mom, I'm taking my younger brother and sister outside to play. You can talk to Dad now!"
After saying that, he took one in each hand and led them outside.
Just as Li Mai was about to speak, Zhou Quan rushed up, put his arm around her waist, and leaned his head close to hers.
"Honey, you've been drinking, it's a bit hot. Shall we take a bath?" he said, pressing himself against her.
Li Mai was utterly speechless. What kind of people were these?
"Then tell me, what are we going to do about Yanbao and Yubao? What if they get into trouble if we don't see them? They can't always meet people who like them. What if they meet someone who doesn't like them and then starts causing trouble? What if the siblings throw a tantrum again?"
"I've figured it out now, these two kids are just like you before. Today is Sister Ling's big day, and this whole mess has happened. I feel really embarrassed with the gift Sister Ling gave me."
Li Mai leaned on his shoulder and sighed helplessly. She couldn't bear to scold or beat her own children, but if she didn't let them get away with it, they would cause even bigger trouble next time.
Unfortunately, there was this troublemaker here, acting like a protective parent and not wanting her to punish the children, so she glared at him helplessly.
"Don't be angry, Xiaomai. I'll seal their spiritual power tonight. We'll bring them here to unseal it on their first birthday, so they can get through their transformation period before we seal it again, okay?" Zhou Quan knew that if he didn't tell Xiaomai how to solve the problem, she would keep worrying.
Although sealing their spiritual power would affect the children's growth, since Xiaomai was worried that they would cause trouble, he decided to keep it sealed for now. Zhou Quan shook his head, "It's alright. After I'm released from my strait when they're three, I'll personally teach them."
