Chapter 439 Spring has arrived, and all things are reviving.

Yun Chang briefly told Li Mai about his situation. Li Mai knew that he would stay for more than three months this time because the gold mines here had already produced gold, and his elder brother would escort the first batch of gold back to the capital in three months.

The reason he returned for three months was to avoid the infighting within the royal family, and to secretly arrange for people to help the crown prince.

Li Mai guessed that it seemed the Emperor and the Crown Prince were going to deal with the person who had attacked the Crown Prince.

That's fine too.

“While you’re here, my sister-in-law and I will first decide on the types of incense for the workshop, start training staff, and prepare the spices. Once the workshop is built, we’ll get it up and running,” Li Mai said.

"Okay!" Yun Chang agreed.

"I'll go check on the construction progress tomorrow," Yun Chang said.

“Yes!” Li Mai nodded.

"Then I'll head back now and come back tomorrow. I'll also bring the other children's gifts when I've finished packing them," Yun Chang said, standing up.

Li Mai glanced at him, her gaze unconsciously lingering on his back.

My older brother got injured last year?

"Have you been injured before?" Li Mai asked.

"It's nothing serious. I was hit by an arrow, but it wasn't poisoned, and the wound has already healed." Yun Chang turned around and smiled at her to comfort her.

"Here you go, drink them all!" Li Mai took three porcelain bottles out of her sleeve and placed them on the table.

Yun Chang glanced at them silently. Three bottles of spiritual liquid, worth thirty thousand!

Yun Chang refused, saying that her sister only gave her good things, and even Xiaomai hadn't given the Crown Prince three bottles of medicine for his injury.

He came back, picked it up, ruffled her hair with his other hand, and walked away with a smile.

Li Mai smiled helplessly and followed them out to see the children.

Yun Chang went out, but Fu Bao didn't want to go back with her. She wanted to play with her older brother and sister. Li Mai smiled and said, "Then let Fu Bao stay with me. You can come and pick her up tomorrow."

Yun Chang asked Fu Bao if she wanted to stay here, and Fu Bao nodded, "I want to stay with my older brother and sister."

Upon hearing this, Yun Chang replied, "Then you mustn't cry. Your father will come to pick you up tomorrow."

"Okay!" Fu Bao replied crisply.

When Yun Chang returned, Xu Changhuan didn't see Fu Bao and said helplessly, "Did she stay there again?"

“Yes, he said he wants to live with his aunt,” Yun Chang said.

"Then let him play with Yanbao and Yubao for now. I'll go check on him tonight," Xu Changhuan said softly.

"Never mind him. We'll go over there to talk tomorrow. Come back inside, I have something to tell you." Yun Chang pulled her into the house.

Xu Changhuan's face flushed slightly, a rare occurrence. "Your Highness, the meal will be ready soon."

"Yes, I know!" Yun Chang replied, but still went back inside and closed the door behind her.

The servants were so well taken that they dared not approach the main house.

When Zhou Quan returned, he saw that there was another child in his family, and the three of them were huddled together, chattering away.

I quietly went over to take a look and found that there was a bamboo cage in front of a person, and there was a parrot inside.

Zhou Quan curled his lips into a smile and gently whistled. Instantly, the three parrots echoed the sound he had whistled.

The three kids turned around at the same time, "Wow, Daddy is so amazing, blow it again!"

Zhou Quan squatted down, glanced at the three people, and blew again. The parrot followed suit and blew again.

"Uncle, it sounds great!" Fu Bao said happily.

Zhou Quan chuckled and ruffled the little guy's hair, asking, "Where did this parrot come from?"

"My uncle gave it to me," Yanbao said.

"Oh, your uncle is back!" Zhou Quan smiled. "You guys play, Dad will go inside and check on your mother."

Zhou Quan entered the room, where Li Mai was tidying up her manuscript. Seeing him return, she asked, "How did things go over there?"

"There are still some places in the inn that haven't been cleaned up yet. Manager Song and Li Shan are busy there. The embroidery workshop is almost done too, and we should be able to move in around mid-April. The incense workshop probably won't be completely cleaned up until June or July." Zhou Quan sat down next to her, poured herself a cup of tea, drank it, and exhaled. The weather was getting hotter and hotter.

"It's only mid-March, and it's already hot?" Li Mai asked in surprise.

"Hmm, I don't know what's wrong, but lately I feel like I have a fever, it's unusually hot." Zhou Quan drank another cup of tea to suppress the heat in his heart.

Li Mai reached out and took his pulse.

This man definitely has a bit too much internal heat, given his constitution!

Thinking that he was of divine beast blood and his true form was a hydra, Li Mai suddenly realized something.

She observed him silently for a moment, then lowered her head and continued packing her things.

"I'm going to see the children. Shall we have noodles for dinner?" Zhou Quan asked Li Mai as he went to wash up, changed into a light shirt, and left.

“Okay, tell the housekeeper to make the arrangements. With Fu Bao here, cut the noodles for the children into thinner and shorter pieces,” Li Mai instructed him.

Zhou Quan replied that he understood and then left.

After packing her things, Li Mai sent a thought into her spatial dimension and, taking advantage of Zhou Quan's absence, went to look through some books.

After a long while, she came out, silently glanced at her small figure, went back into the space, and tried to drink another bowl of spiritual spring water.

Spring has arrived, and everything is coming back to life.

In winter, he became much less interested in sex, and seemed very sleepy every day. Sometimes he would fall asleep while holding her.

Therefore, they don't have much sex in winter. In addition, there are many business matters during the Chinese New Year, which he mostly arranges, so he is very busy and tired every day.

Before going to bed at night, he would take the children to practice meditation. It seemed that he was the busiest and most tired person in their little family.

This made her forget his own bloodline characteristics and the influence of each season on him.
