The two vendors nearby breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the thugs run away, but they didn't dare to stay any longer and wanted to pack up and go back, fearing that the thugs would come back to beat them up again.
"Xu San, we're going back now. You should also pack up and head back while your relatives are here!" the two men said to Xu Shun as they packed.
Xu Shun responded.
However, before packing his things, he thanked Li Mai first.
Old Zhou had recovered from his shock and said to Xu Shun with a smile, "Shunzi, this is Xiaoquan's wife. They got married a few days ago. Because things happened so suddenly, we didn't have time to invite your family. In a while, you and Xiaoxing can take the two children back home and we can all have a meal together as a family."
As for the Xu family, they would only go to the Zhou family if they had something to ask them to. Otherwise, if they went on their own initiative, they were worried that they would be looked down upon by Zhou Xing's two sisters-in-law and cause trouble for Xu Shun and Zhou Xing.
"Yes, Father." Xu Shun knew his family's situation; his father-in-law's family didn't visit often, which was for the good of the young couple.

Xu Shun felt embarrassed. He was a little scared when he saw those thugs and forgot to argue with them. Besides, he felt from the bottom of his heart that there was no reasoning with those people.
He just didn't expect that the two women were actually the wives of these thugs.

"Has your brother-in-law had lunch?" Li Mai asked.

Besides, these two women don't look like poor people at all, and they're asking him for fifty coins right off the bat. How could he possibly agree to that?
But unexpectedly, this has caused another disaster.
Finally, with the help of the Zhou family, Xu Shun packed up his stall, brought over his carriage, and loaded it with his belongings.
The Xu family is living a pretty good life. They currently own two horse-drawn carriages, one for carrying people and the other for carrying goods.
Under Li Mai's arrangement, Zhou Tao and Zhou Lei returned to the oxcart and gave the food they had bought for Nan Nan and Dong Dong to Xu Shun.
"These are the snacks and dried fruits that my sister-in-law bought for Nannan and Dongdong. Here's a portion of each for you, and another portion for your uncle and aunt to try!" Zhou Tao was quite eloquent now, and she gave Xu Shun some instructions as she handed him the items.
Xu Shun understood their meaning and nodded. "Alright, on behalf of my family and children, I thank my sister-in-law and father-in-law." After Xu Shun took the things and put them on the carriage, he went over to check on Zhou Quan and asked about his leg. Zhou Quan told him the truth.
Upon hearing this, Xu Shun exclaimed in disbelief, "Wow! My sister-in-law knows both martial arts and medicine! What incredible luck my brother-in-law has to find such a wonderful wife!"
However, Xu Shun would never say this aloud. He congratulated Zhou Quan with a smile and told him to cooperate well with Doctor Niu in treating the illness, saying that Doctor Niu's medical skills were very famous in the town.
Zhou Quan nodded in agreement, and then inquired about the health of the eldest sister and the child, as well as the health of Xu's parents. Xu Shun responded to each question, saying that they were all fine.
Finally, Xu Shun said that he would take Zhou Xing and the children to the Zhou family in a few days, and then everyone set off together and left the town.
However, the two villages were in different directions, and soon after they left, they parted ways and returned to their respective villages.

The peaches now are from one of the earlier batches; they're still a bit firm to the touch and crunchy to eat. Young people and children love these peaches because they're good at chewing them.
Carrying the snacks, Zhou Xing followed her husband into the house and asked curiously, "Did you make a lot of money today? Why are you buying so many snacks?"
