Li Mai shook her head and said in a low voice, "I've already eaten."
“Then give it to the older brother; he’s a patient,” Zhou Lei said.
Li Mai chuckled, exchanged a glance with Zhou Quan, and said in unison, "Here, have some. You're growing, and your sister-in-law will be cooking more tomorrow. This whole basket is for you to stew."
Upon hearing this, Zhou Lei was delighted and accepted the food without hesitation, saying, "Thank you, brother and sister-in-law."
Li Mai smiled and waited until they washed their hands again before carrying the basin and bowl back.
Li Mai put down the bowl and then noticed that several more people had gathered around the table to grab the ribs.
"This stuff, cooked like this, actually tastes really good?" A man in his forties said in disbelief as he ate.
"Yes, boss, Miss Li said there are many ways to eat it, this is just one of them. She also said that this stuff can not only be used to make bone broth and braised pork ribs, but also sweet and sour pork ribs," Chef Liu said while eating.
Li Mai then realized that the chubby man in his forties was the boss, the one who seemed to have come out of the house earlier by smelling the aroma.
"Here, take this. You didn't eat any earlier!" Chef Qin picked up a piece and put it in Li Mai's bowl. "If you don't eat it soon, these people will snatch it all up. They've all eaten before, they can really eat a lot."
Li Mai glanced at the other person and smiled, "Thank you, Uncle Qin."
Seeing that the bowl was almost empty, she didn't stand on ceremony and ate it. Actually, she had already eaten two pieces of spare ribs when she was tasting it earlier.
When she finished eating, there was no more food in the bowl. Li Mai chuckled; these people really had a big appetite.
After thanking the owner and Chef Liu and Chef Qin, Li Mai explained how to make sweet and sour pork ribs. After thanking Manager Liao, Li Mai took her leave and left the slaughterhouse with her family.
Manager Liao thanked Li Mai again and told them to come back to buy meat next time, as it would be cheaper than buying it outside. Li Mai smiled and agreed, saying that she would definitely come back to buy meat.
"Dad, can we get home before sunset?" Li Mai felt a little embarrassed after being delayed for more than an hour.
"Yes, don't worry!"
"Xiaomai, how did you come up with the idea of making these spare ribs for them?" Old Zhou asked Limai curiously.
He went into that house, bought a piece of pork, and came out. Li Mai took on this job, and he deeply admired Li Mai's ability to interact with people.
