Zhao smiled and said, "It was Xiaomai who happened to be there and caught it. How could we have caught it?"
Aunt Wangcai gave Li Mai a thumbs up, "Xiaomai is really amazing."
They already knew that before Li Mai got married, she often led the children from Lijia Village to run into the mountains to dig for medicinal herbs, and maybe she had some way of catching pheasants.
Li Mai smiled and said she was lucky.
"Aunties, you can go ahead and pick them, but don't go too deep into the woods," Li Mai instructed the aunties.
They agreed.
After spending a while with them picking things up, Li Mai, Zhou Tao, Zhou Lei, and Zhu Zhu went back first.
Zhao stayed behind with them, but she went to dig for wild vegetables and filled the basket that Li Mai had left for her earlier.
After Li Mai returned, she took out a basin and soaked some of the wild lichen.
They brought out a jar of water, but only half a jar remained. She then released a bowl of the spiritual spring water, temporarily preventing the family from drinking it separately, so that they could focus on cooking.
Zhou Quan also changed his routine to drinking half a bowl in the morning and half in the evening, and put the rest into a jar.
It seems the village wells must have been flooded, so we can't drink the water for now. The river water is even worse; it just rained, and the water is very murky.
The other wild vegetables placed in the space, Li Mai plans to soak in the space, where there is no shortage of water.
"Xiao Tao, Xiao Lei, you two watch over this place. Your sister-in-law is leaving for a while!" Li Mai said to the three of them.
"Mom, where are you going? Zhuzhu will follow!" Zhuzhu asked, pulling on Limai.
Li Mai glanced into the tent, then turned to Zhou Tao and whispered, "Sister-in-law, go check on our cows and rabbits. You'll be back in a bit. You can't go anywhere. Just wait here. When you come back, you'll cook with Mother."
The three of them understood and nodded obediently.
After Li Mai went outside, she looked around and saw that there seemed to be nowhere to hide herself. She looked down at the village and thought of her own yard, so she walked down.
After she entered her own yard, she turned around and closed the gate.
After entering the courtyard and looking around, she sighed as she saw how the courtyard, which had been perfectly fine just a few days ago, had become like this. She then went into her house.
After entering and closing the door, she entered the space with a single thought.
She tidied up the house, took a large basin, and soaked all the wild lichens that had been brought in.
Then they went over, found an empty basket, put the pheasant in it, threw in some wild vegetable leaves, covered it up, and weighed it down with something.
She then fed the rabbits and chickens, but since there was no grass in the space at the moment, she didn't intend to let the chickens and rabbits out.
However, when she arrived at the basket of reeds, she was surprised to find that there were quite a few eggs inside.
The four speckled chickens used to lay eggs every one or two days, one laying an egg today and another tomorrow.
But at that moment, Li Mai could see six eggs.
Were they sent into her space the night before last? Such a large quantity? Could it be because they were in her space? Because they absorbed spiritual energy?
While pondering, Li Mai picked out the eggs. Ah, there were eight. That means each hen laid two eggs, one yesterday and one today.
After thinking for a moment, she found another basket, grabbed a speckled chicken, fed it some corn, cleaned out the chicken droppings from the basket, and then scooped water to put water bowls in the space for all the creatures with mouths. She then drank a large bowl of spiritual spring water herself.
That feels so good!
She wandered around the space for a while, then remembered the monster crystal cores she had stored here in her previous life. She walked towards the hill behind the spirit spring.
At the foot of the hill were several large wooden boxes, containing things she liked or that were valuable, which she had obtained in her previous life.
She squatted down in front of the box and opened it to take a look at the crystal cores.
Take out a crystal core that glows red; it's the crystal core of a fire-type mutated beast.
She used to have spiritual power and could directly refine this crystal core, but now, holding it in her hand, she feels nothing except that it's a little hot.
She closed her eyes and tried several times, but she still couldn't mobilize any spiritual energy in her dantian.
Li Mai sighed and put the crystal core back.
She had already accumulated dozens of crystal cores, but lost her life and ended up in this ancient world, not knowing what opportunities awaited her.
As things stand, the only opportunity I have is to have a group of family members and a husband.
Next, we need to help the family rebuild their home and get back on their feet.
Li Mai then looked at the contents of the other two boxes: tranquilizer guns, tear gas, smoke grenades, and various firearms capable of killing mutated beasts.
Suddenly, she found an old-fashioned dagger in a box.
Hmm, this could be used for self-defense. Let's take this out. After looking around, there are also some communication tools, such as walkie-talkies, wireless bracelets, and wireless phone headsets!
These were useless here, so Li Mai closed the box and placed the dagger on top of the box where she kept her silver and put it together with her silver needle pouch. She could summon it with her mind when she needed it.
After tidying up the space, Li Mai left the space with a thought, glanced around the room, and went out into the yard. She saw a dark figure quickly dart out from the collapsed section of the courtyard wall.
Li Mai quickly went outside the gate, but the other person was already out of sight.
Li Mai walked over and glanced at some suitable places for Tibetans nearby, but there was no one there. She narrowed her eyes, thinking that if the other party had any ulterior motives, they would give themselves away. She turned and left, heading north up the mountain.
