"Xiaomai, did something happen when you went out?" Zhou Quan asked softly.
When Li Mai came in and saw that she was safe and sound, he was relieved.
“Yes, I encountered some cattle thieves and caught them. It has already alerted the chieftain and the others.” Li Mai nodded.
"Who is it?" Zhou Quan asked.
"They're from Xiaoqiu Village. They heard about the disaster in our village and came to profit from it, but we caught them. They've already been tied up by the clan chief and his men. They plan to wait for their village chief to come and take them away at dawn."
“Dad came out too, and asked you. I said you were asleep,” Li Mai said with a light laugh.
