Xu Fan had this thought when he first obtained the God-level Choice System.
The more rewards he receives from the system, the more abilities he gains make him less like a human being.
Perhaps one day I will be invincible, but I will no longer be able to call myself a person.
There may be more and more bizarre creatures that are more similar to myself. In that case, should I help humans or help these mysterious creatures that are similar to myself?
Xu Fan is facing a major crisis regarding his affiliation.
And now, he is presented with two choices.
One option is to join a mysterious organization and serve them, helping them achieve God's Eden plan for the new century.
Another option is to become their enemy. The vice-leader promised Xu Fan that he could safely send Desis and Xu Fan out of the bottomless blood pool, but from the moment he stepped into human society, he would have to completely break with the mysterious organization.
These are two diametrically opposed options: one for ideals, and the other for real life.
However, judging from the vice leader's words, they didn't give Xu Fan many choices; they practically wanted to shove option A right in Xu Fan's face.
Meanwhile, those lurking in the shadows were already sharpening their knives and rubbing their fists together, just waiting for Xu Fan to say he would choose option B.
That way they could swarm Xu Fan and tear him to pieces.
Xu Fan even suspected that the god-level selection system he possessed might have been transplanted to him by a mysterious organization.
But despite the complaints, we still have to make a choice.
Moreover, you can't cheat; you either choose the red orb or the blue orb, and you can't have both at the same time.
Daisy looked at Xu Fan with pleading eyes, hoping that he would choose option A, so that they would both be safe and could obtain first-hand information from within the organization.
For Xu Fan, that meant a complete break from his ordinary identity. From that moment on, he would be willing to sacrifice his life for the mysterious organization, using any means necessary to complete the tasks assigned by its leader.
Option B, on the other hand, only offers the possibility of remaining isolated in a corner of the world and temporarily prolonging one's existence.
On one hand, Xu Fan and Daisy face relentless pursuit from a mysterious organization, and on the other hand, human society, led by the Night Watch Bureau, will also despise Xu Fan.
No matter how many times Xu Fan has saved lives, no matter how many people he has helped.
If his choices affect the normal lives of others, then these ignorant people will rise up against him and denounce the hero who has saved them countless times.
So Xu Fan didn't hesitate and went straight to the red light cluster, absorbing it into his body.
"Congratulations, Xu Fan, you made the right choice."
The archdeacon was very pleased with Xu Fan's choice, so he released Daisis from his control and restored her to her human female appearance.
Still shaken, Daisy ran to Xu Fan's side, hoping he would take her away. As for her parents and relatives, she said she would have to deal with them later.
However, Xu Fan did not leave. Instead, he reached out to the archdeacon and asked for a badge with a playing card code.
In Xu Fan's understanding, he should be able to become a top-tier agent, since agents of the mysterious organization below the top tier were as easy as slaughtering cats and dogs for him, posing no challenge whatsoever.
This is a badge, which slowly fell from the archdeacon's hand.
It landed directly in Xu Fan's hands, and he couldn't wait to see what color his badge was.
To Xu Fan's utter bewilderment, however, it turned out to be a blank badge.
At this moment, the vice-bishop slowly spoke.
“We hold an assessment competition every two weeks, the purpose of which is to rate the members of the organization.”
You haven't taken the assessment yet, so you've received blank regulations for now.
We will assign you a corresponding level based on your abilities, and you will then unlock different benefits within the organization.
Xu Fan then remembered that after Redbeard and Bluebeard failed in their attempt to capture him, the vice-bishop had downgraded their rank by one level, from K to Q.
They were also told that their positions would be determined after this assessment.
When does your grading assessment begin?
"You can start anytime. Just say 'Start the assessment' to the badge in your hand, and a special area containing a special assessment for you will be released."
"Could you give me a general idea of what the assessment will entail?"
"Most of it is related to combat, but there is also a small part of puzzle-solving."
After listening to the vice-bishop's words, Xu Fan seemed to be deep in thought. He silently put away his blank badge and took Daisis to meet the dragons imprisoned in cages.
Daisy approved his application; after all, from now on, Xu Fan had stood with them and gained their approval.
The two then went upstairs hand in hand, where there was an elevator that led directly to the bottomless blood pool.
It was another elevator, and Xu Fan was already getting a little annoyed.
Why can't they create some high-tech teleportation portals instead of this outdated industrial-age product?
But complaints aside, there's still business to be done.
Xu Fan led Daisy directly to the second floor, where there was indeed a device that looked like a coffin.
A short monster with a huge tumor on its back appeared before Xu Fan and Daisis.
"Hehehe, come and take the elevator, the bottomless blood pool is waiting for you."
