Chapter 23 Bushido and the Way of the Ninja

Heavy troops are pressing in; it's a desperate situation within a desperate situation.

However, the fighting spirit in Xu Fan's eyes did not diminish.

He clenched his teeth, his temples bulging.

He placed his hand on the hilt of the knife at his waist.

The knuckles of the fingers turned white due to excessive force.

When two armies meet on a narrow path, the brave one will prevail.

Even if the enemy outnumbers us, we must still show our weapons.

The ninja army leader, Commander Saemon, couldn't stand it anymore.

He waved his hand, intending to dispatch his legion members to annihilate the enemy.

However, he was stopped by Commander Kojiro.

"Wait a minute, let me go and talk to him. If this kind of person can be used by our Japanese Empire, I believe His Majesty the Emperor will be very happy."

Kojiro respected other heroes and didn't want to bully the weak with numbers.

But Saemon thought differently.

"As soldiers of the Japanese Empire, our mission is to fulfill our military orders."

Kojiro's face darkened, and his originally withered body suddenly burst forth with extremely strong resentment.

"I told you to wait a moment."

The resentment emanating from Kojiro caused the surrounding ninja army to retreat.

In terms of raw strength, Saemon was no match for Kojiro.

Ultimately, Saemon had no choice but to back down.

Kojiro stood at the front and said loudly in broken Chinese, "Chinese, you are very good! You are the strongest person I have ever seen."

As a samurai, I cannot tolerate a situation where the many bully the few. How about this, you and I will duel one-on-one again.

"If you can beat me, you can leave, as long as you promise never to set foot in Ward 44 again, and I can guarantee your safety."

Saemon realized something was wrong and was about to step forward to argue.

Kojiro gave him a murderous glare.

Saemon immediately wilted like a frostbitten eggplant.

Kojiro told the spirits to step aside.

Clear out a circular open space.

Just as Xu Fan was about to step forward, he was stopped by the spirit of a deceased Chinese patient behind him.

"Young man, don't go! The Japanese devils have no credibility. Don't throw your life away in vain."

Xu Fan laughed loudly.

"Hahaha, no problem! I don't even consider such a clown a threat!"

Although they had already witnessed Xu Fan's remarkable strength, they were even more aware of the terrifying power of the neon commander in Ward 44.

In contrast, almost no one was optimistic about Xu Fan.

After all, one of them is the ghost of a Japanese commander who has been dead for decades and whose spirit is still haunting him.

One is a young Chinese man with extraordinary skills, but still a mortal.

If we just open a betting game.

Xu Fan wanted to give the money to the other party.

However, Xu Fan did not choose to avoid it.

He knew that there was someone waiting for him, and many things waiting for him to solve.

His journey is not limited to this!

A human and a ghost stand in the arena.

All the dead became witnesses to this battle.

"Chinese people, draw your swords!"

Xu Fan knew that his chances were numbered.

The opponent is a Neon Commander Undead with unlimited stamina and super self-healing ability.

A protracted war is not in our favor.

If possible, Xu Fan planned to end the battle in one strike.

Kojiro did not choose the Japanese officer's sword he had previously used.

Instead, he punched the floor hard.

At that moment, a hidden compartment appeared in front of everyone.

Kojiro bent down and reached under the floor to take out an old-fashioned knife.

The knife was unremarkable; there was nothing special about it.

"This knife was a gift from the commander himself, given to me for my meritorious service in battle."

As Kojiro spoke, he began to draw his sword.

"This sword is named Muramasa!"

The next instant, Kojiro launched himself directly towards Xu Fan.

Wow, that's fast!

The next second, Kojiro was already in front of Xu Fan, but he did not stop and instead passed right by him.

At the same time, the sharp edge of the Muramasa sword flashed across Xu Fan's waist.

Xu Fan quickly stepped in to block him.

Click!

The samurai sword in Xu Fan's hand snapped in two, and he felt a burning pain in his abdomen and waist.

That was a burning sensation from the soul.

"Chinese people, what skillful moves!"

If it were an ordinary person, they would have been cleaved in two by now, crawling on the ground like maggots.

Xu Fan was sweating profusely.

It seems that Kojiro didn't use his true skills in the previous match.

At this moment, he was the sword saint feared by all the Japanese legions—Kojiro.

Kojiro held his sword across his chest.

"Chinese man, you're very strong, but I wonder how many of my blows you can withstand!"

Before he could finish speaking, Kojiro stepped forward once again.

Xu Fan, no longer overconfident, quickly summoned his mysterious weapon—the Chi Bone Sword.

Suddenly, a two-handed sword appeared in Xu Fan's hand.

It blocked Kojiro's fierce slash.

The sword was dark red all over, like a desperate sunset, or like fresh blood from a massacre.

The sword hilt is joined together piece by piece, resembling dragon scales.

The sword's hilt was meticulously carved by skilled craftsmen and adorned with dragon patterns, subtly exuding a dragon-like aura.

The sword's edge resembles segments of bone, made from the spine of a dragon.

As soon as the sword was drawn, it emitted a dragon's roar, which intimidated the low-level undead.

Some of the Japanese soldiers' spirits actually fainted.

Kojiro remained motionless, his eyes fixed on the sword in Xu Fan's hand.

"A fine sword!"

Xu Fan looked at the Muramasa demon sword in Kojiro's hand.

"A fine knife!"

The next instant, a sword and a saber clashed together.
