Sofia's voice had a touch more cheerfulness to it:
"Then I'll take you to find the Dragon Emperor Flame."
Shelby looked at Xu Fan: "Dragon Girl, I can accept the dragon race's inheritance, but this person cannot go; he is not a dragon!"
Sofia looked at Xu Fan with hope in her eyes, clearly hoping that he would come over.
After a moment of silence, Xu Fan spoke:
"If Sophia is going, I must go and protect her safety."
"you!"
Shelby was furious, but there was nothing he could do.
"Princess, what is your opinion?"
Sofia smiled and said, "Of course I hope my brother will go too."
Shelby was silent for a moment, then extended his hand to Xu Fan:
"Then I entrust the princess's safety to you."
"This is my own business, and I don't need your thanks."
Sophia then said, "In that case, let's hide the Dragon Emperor Flame here now."
As Sophia spoke, she walked deeper into her palace, and Xu Fan sighed inwardly.
If the Dragon Emperor's Flame inheritance is located in Sophia's palace, it shows how much the Dragon Emperor dotes on her.
But now the father who doted on this little girl has passed away.
With different thoughts in mind, the three of them soon arrived at Sophia's bedchamber.
Sofia looked at Xu Fan with a clearly ingratiating gaze:
"Brother, could you help me move the bed?"
Xu Fan nodded. It was just moving a bed, which was no challenge for him.
After Xu Fan moved the bed, a somewhat blurry ancient pattern appeared on the ground, looking like an array.
As she approached the magic circle, Sophia's face became more serious. She cut her finger and squeezed out a few drops of blood, which fell into the magic circle on the ground.
A moment later, a beautiful flower bloomed on the magic circle, and then a door burst open.
"Let's go inside."
The three of them went down into the underground through the door.
In the underground passageway, sparks from the ever-burning lamps dispelled the darkness.
By the light of the fire, Xu Fan looked around the passageway. There were protruding rock walls on the left and right, making it look like he was in the mountains.
After walking for a while, their view suddenly opened up, and a large hall without doors suddenly appeared in front of the three of them.
The walls of the main hall are painted with exquisite and intricate murals, and in the very center of the hall stands a tall figure.
In his hand, a purple flame burned fiercely, seemingly never to be extinguished.
Sophia pointed to the flame in the statue's hand: "That's the Dragon Emperor's Flame."
"Shelby, all you need to do is get the Dragon Emperor Flame into your body."
Shelby nodded, walked resolutely toward the statue, and then slowly reached out his hand.
As Shelby moved, the flame in the statue's hand seemed to be pulled, slowly drifting towards Shelby like a thread.
The moment the Dragon Emperor Flame got close to him, Shelby felt himself covered in sweat.
But thinking of the deceased Dragon Emperor and the princess who has not yet grown up, besides himself, who else would stand firmly on the side of the Dragon Royal Family?
As the Dragon Emperor Flame entered his body, Shelby felt as if his internal organs were on fire, and large beads of sweat poured down his forehead like water.
From Xu Fan's perspective, it was clear that Shelby was pale and had a look of confusion in his eyes, indicating that he was unlikely to make it.
Sofia hesitated for a moment before speaking:
“Brother, I want to go help him. If you’re bored, you can look at the murals around here.”
After all, the matter involved Sophia's father and the entire dragon clan. If Sophia decided to help, Xu Fan felt he had no reason to object.
Xu Fan watched as Sophia walked up behind Shelby and gently placed her hand on Shelby's back.
It was at this moment that the previously unstable Dragon Emperor Flame returned to its wispy form, flowing slowly and steadily toward Shelby.
After confirming that Sophia was not in any danger, Xu Fan withdrew his gaze.
The Dragon Emperor Flame was passed down very slowly. After such a long time, the flame in the sculpture's hand had shrunk by less than one-fifth.
Sofia's safety was not a problem, so Xu Fan simply walked to the wall.
Out of boredom, Xu Fan followed Sophia's advice and looked intently at the mural hanging next to him.
The first painting depicts a powerful dragon silhouette, exhaling a large breath of dragon breath at the indistinct deity in front of it.
The dragon's breath enveloped the entire god, making it appear as if it had killed him.
Beside this dragon, countless smaller dragons cheered and jumped for joy.
The second mural depicts a group of gods besieging the dragon from before, whose body is covered in wounds and bloodstains. Not far from him, several dragon skeletons lie scattered haphazardly.
The third mural depicts them arriving at a volcano crater, where the previously wounded dragon seems to have thrown something away.
Xu Fan stared intently at the mural, feeling that the content on it was somewhat familiar.
After a moment, Xu Fan finally realized what was happening.
"Isn't this Ghost Island? So, the thing that the dragon threw down was actually the Dragon Emperor's key?"
The fourth image shows the outer perimeter of the Dragon Bone Tomb, with the giant dragon leading the way into the tomb.
The fifth mural depicts the dragon race, guided by a giant dragon, beginning to build a city here.
If Xu Fan's guess is correct, this city should be the Holy City, right?
Xu Fan's gaze followed the fifth mural to the sixth mural. This mural looked as if it had been damaged, with only faint traces of flames visible.
There were still a few murals left, but without exception, they had all been damaged beyond recognition, and nothing could be seen from them.
After looking at these murals, Xu Fan pondered, "It seems that these murals are about the history of the dragon race."
Thinking this, Xu Fan looked up unintentionally, but then he seemed to freeze in place.
A short while later, Xu Fan sighed silently and walked towards the murals on the wall again, as if trying to see clearly what was painted on the scraped murals.
However, due to the passage of time and Xu Fan's limited knowledge of the murals, he ultimately failed to discover much from them.
He didn't know how much time had passed when Xu Fan suddenly felt the entire hall shaking.
When I looked up, I saw that the Dragon Emperor Flame in the sculpture's hand had completely disappeared.
On Shelby's body, faint purple flames flowed slowly, like a purple armor.
