Chapter 2 Big and Round Buttocks
Chi Zhao left the wooden house. There were almost no other houses around. He had to crane his neck to look down to see a few houses with wisps of smoke rising from their chimneys. As expected of a hunter, his house was the closest to the mountain.
It looks like a wooden house that they built themselves, and the furniture inside is also made of wood, giving off a faint woody scent.
The air here isn't like the post-apocalyptic world, filled with mud and blood. Every breath is fresh and smells wonderful.
Chi Zhao wondered in a daze how long it had been since she had smelled such clean air.
If you can experience life before the apocalypse, this trip will be worthwhile.
For this reason, she could be a little more patient with that poor male supporting character who was supposedly bullied.
As she descended the mountain alone with her system, she encountered many people, all from the same village and related by blood, so she knew most of them. Some would politely call her Sister Chi, while others called her Sister Chi. The young master looked somewhat panicked when he saw her, quickly covering his mouth and avoiding her as if she were some kind of monster.
Chi Zhao's lips twitched, and he lowered his voice to ask 99, "Is my name in this world the same as the one I had before?"
99 proudly put her hands on her hips, [Yes, yes, 99 specially chose this body for the host, do you like it?]
"good."
Having the same name will help her adapt more quickly.
Chi Zhao didn't know the way. The system was useless; it brought her here, but she couldn't even find her way. After wandering into other villages several times, she had no choice but to ask a few villagers for directions to the town.
Only by asking around could one get through without any obstacles.
Although the villagers she asked didn't understand why she didn't know the way, they still warmly told her and asked if she was going to town to buy something.
Chi Zhao's eyes were complicated. He wasn't a good person either. If you weren't raised properly, you could be poisoned to death if you weren't careful.
There is a street in the town where all kinds of men are kept in cages. Some are elegant, some are charming, some are young, and some are indifferent. Residents of the town and surrounding villages can choose the man they like and can afford to buy and take him home.
Chi Zhao searched for a while before finally appearing on the human slave market street.
At first glance, it was a dense mass of heads.
Among them were many beautiful women, and she looked at them one by one. Finally, at 99's excited instruction, she stopped in front of a man.
The man was locked in a huge cage. His bare, pale hands were so thin that the veins were clearly visible, and there were some red marks on them, as if they had been whipped.
Her appearance was quite good, with long, narrow phoenix eyes that were elegant and beautiful, but her owner's slightly timid demeanor somewhat marred it.
A crowd had gathered around his cage, pointing and commenting that he was good-looking but too young and thin, and might not be able to bear children. When they inquired about the price and found it was three taels of silver, most of them hesitated and left, except for one person who was still hesitating.
The men here were all former servants who had offended their masters and were sold out. They were of low status and might have offended people, and their hands were not clean. Therefore, there were few wealthy families who came here to buy servants; only ordinary families frequently stopped by.
A young man would cost two or three taels of silver, while older men were slightly cheaper. Such an expensive price was difficult for ordinary families to afford. Even if they properly paid a dowry to hire a man from the same village as their husband, it would only cost them at most one tael, except that the man would not be as good-looking as those who were bought and sold.
When Chi Zhao arrived, he saw a woman in her thirties with slightly disheveled hair and a gray dress pulling a slave trader, pointing at the male supporting character and asking, "Has he ever been defiled? I don't want any used goods."
The slave trader promised, "No, no, how can a woman who's been defiled fetch a good price? Oh, girl, you can rest assured, she's clean, obedient, and can do any kind of work. Look at her fair and tender skin."
As she spoke, she reached through the gap in the cage and pinched the man. The man, who was being treated like merchandise, shrank back slightly, not daring to lift his eyes, and was being manipulated and humiliated at will.
99 cried out in distress, "Host, look at her bullying the male supporting character! How awful! You must buy him, Host! The woman asking the price now is the one who bought him in the small world! It's terrible, she keeps hitting him!"
Chi Zhao looked up and suddenly asked, as if seeking answers, "Can he cook?"
The slave trader had seen many customers who asked about everything but ended up not buying anything. So even though the person who had asked was still standing there without saying whether they wanted it or not, she quickly replied to the next one, "Yes, yes, yes, I asked him to cook for me to try. Oh, the taste was just as good as the chefs in wealthy families. I heard that his family was poor when he was young, and his parents worked hard. He is also very sensible. He cooked for the whole family at a young age. Girl, you should buy from him. You'll make a lot of money."
The other person winked and thought to themselves, "She can warm the bed and take care of people. What a bargain!"
The man, who was locked in the cage and huddled up with his knees, suddenly heard a clear female voice. He looked up in surprise and saw that the woman was beautiful and dressed neatly and cleanly. She was talking to the manager in the sunlight. Although her expression was slightly indifferent, her temperament was excellent and she looked extraordinary. Why would a woman like this need to buy men?
Perhaps she wants to buy me back to continue serving as a slave?
That's good too.
He had changed hands many times and had long given up hope for his future. He didn't care who bought him, but at this moment, a faint hope rose in his heart.
If so, it would be great if this young lady could buy him.
If she likes him, she should just buy him.
He thought, "Although I am of lowly status, at least I am able to humble myself and have learned how to serve others. If, if she could take a liking to me..."
Thinking this, Yu Zhouwan timidly looked up and, with all her might, gave her a faint smile.
Like a lotus in its first bloom, it is elegant and captivating.
Chi Zhao happened to be looking at him, and her expression paused for a moment. Why did she feel that... his smile looked a bit like her boyfriend's?
Good boy/girl.
The woman who had been hesitating about whether to buy Yu Zhouwan also looked in the direction of the voice. When she saw Chi Zhao, she was startled and her face turned a little embarrassed. She scratched the back of her head and said, "Sister Chi, are you here to buy a man to warm your bed too?"
Warm, warm the bed?
Yu Zhouwan huddled in the corner, but her beautiful, clear eyes quietly lifted to look at her.
The other party clearly recognized her, and Chi Zhao did not deny it. When a widow and a man are alone in a room, they should be given a proper status, even in a morally bankrupt apocalypse.
"Yes, the family is missing a man to do the housework."
Hearing her say that, the other person smiled, her eyes still showing some reluctance, but she didn't really intend to compete with her. Three taels of silver was already making her hesitate. She was only thinking of buying one because she couldn't find a husband. She didn't expect it to be so expensive. She was tempted by the broker's words, but when she was interrupted, she suddenly came to her senses.
She's not from a wealthy family; her entire fortune is only a few taels of silver. If she spends all that money on a man, what will she eat and drink in the future?
I almost went crazy.
The other person smiled, revealing a set of yellow teeth. "Oh, I see. Well, take your time looking around. I've looked around and the men here don't seem very good. They don't look like they'd have much of a chance at having children, so I won't buy anything. I'll head back now."
As she walked, she muttered to herself, "I heard that Chi Zhao is a woman who beats men and loves to eat raw meat. She is also aloof and doesn't like to talk to people. She always has a cold face that scares people. So even though she is good-looking and has a good income, no man in the village is willing to marry her. I never thought that I would end up buying a husband with her."
She suddenly realized that even if she had a skill and earned a lot of money, she was still not on the same level as him.
The slave trader's face had already fallen when the woman said that the men here were no good. As soon as she left, he hurriedly said, "Miss, don't listen to her nonsense. Our young masters here are well cared for. They all have big, round buttocks and can easily conceive a daughter. Come, Xiao Zhou, turn your back so the young lady can see you."
