Grey Fairy felt that the man in front of her was mysterious and unpredictable, and endless doubts and unease welled up in her heart.
Before this, she had never seen such a strange person who could put her in such a bad state.
The man stood tall and straight, his black clothes blending seamlessly into the surrounding darkness.
His face was cold and stern, with sharp, chiseled features that gave off an aura that made people hesitant to approach him.
His deep eyes, like an endless abyss, made it impossible for anyone to fathom his thoughts.
Her long black hair was casually tied behind her head, swaying slightly in the wind, adding to her mysterious aura.
The man's movements were clean and efficient. The moment he pulled a water gourd from his waist, Grey Fairy instinctively wanted to escape.
The water hyacinth looked ordinary, yet it exuded a strange power.
The man pointed the water gourd at Gray Fairy, and a powerful suction force instantly came.
Gray Fairy struggled in terror, but the suction seemed to have an irresistible magic, and her body involuntarily flew towards the water gourd.
She tried to use magic to resist, but the power was too strong, and her efforts seemed futile.
As she got closer to the water hyacinth, her despair grew stronger.
Her eyes widened as she watched herself get closer and closer to the mysterious man and the water hyacinth, but she was powerless to stop it.
Finally, Gray Fairy felt a sudden darkness before her eyes and was sucked into the water gourd.
She didn't know what fate awaited her, and her heart was filled with fear and unease.
The mysterious man looked at the water gourd in his hand, a slight smile playing on his lips, as if everything was under his control.
As soon as Grey Fairy left, Old Madam Song's body collapsed to the ground with a thud, the dull sound seeming to create a hollow in the silent space.
Instantly, a strong stench of decay filled the air, the pungent smell making people instinctively cover their mouths and noses.
Song An stood to the side, his face blank with shock.
His eyes were vacant, as if he had not yet recovered from the shock he had just experienced.
Staring blankly at his mother lying on the ground, he was filled with confusion and fear.
Those once-familiar faces now exuded an aura of death, making everything feel utterly alien to him.
Just then, a sinister voice rang out: "Master Song, what are you daydreaming about?" Song An suddenly looked up and saw a man standing not far away.
A sly smile played on the man's face, his eyes revealing greed and ruthlessness.
Behind him followed a group of menacing-looking men, each wielding a weapon and exuding menacing aura.
Song An then realized that these people were bandits from Qingfeng Village.
Taking advantage of the chaos, they managed to sneak into the Song family's residence. The Song family was wealthy and powerful, and had always been the object of everyone's covetousness, but now they had become the target of these bandits.
A surge of anger welled up in Song An's heart, but he felt utterly powerless in the face of this group of vicious bandits.
The man looked at Song An, a smug smile playing on his lips. He said slowly, "The Song family is so rich, they should share some with us. Today, if you obediently hand over the treasure map, you might still be spared."
His voice echoed in the air, carrying a threat and intimidation.
Song An bit her lip tightly, her heart filled with despair.
He knew that this calamity was probably unavoidable.
"My nephew took the treasure map with him."
Upon hearing Song An say that the treasure map had been taken away by his nephew, the cunning in the man's eyes instantly turned into anger.
He glared fiercely at Song An, as if he wanted to devour him alive.
"You better not lie to me! Otherwise, you'll be sorry!" The man gritted his teeth, squeezing out the words through his clenched teeth.
Song An shrugged nonchalantly, "Believe it or not, the map isn't with me anyway." He thought to himself, so be it, there's nothing to be afraid of.
At this moment, the third brother came over cautiously and said, "Big brother, I know. On the way here, I did run into a group."
Upon hearing this, the man's eyes lit up immediately. "Then why didn't you stop it?"
The third brother said with a bitter face, "Big brother, they brought guns."
The man was stunned. He looked at the knives on his brothers' waists, then at the third brother, and was speechless for a long time.
"Big brother, what do we do now?" one of the underlings couldn't help but ask.
The man frowned, pondered for a moment, and then said, "What else can we do? Let's retreat!"
"What? You're just leaving like that?" another henchman said, unwilling to give up. "Then we've made a wasted trip?"
The man glared at him. "Are you waiting to get shot if you don't leave? Do you think those guns are just for show?"
And once the warlords recover, will they have a good outcome?
Although the younger brothers were unwilling, they dared not disobey their leader's orders and had no choice but to prepare for the retreat.
As the man walked, he muttered to himself, "What a mess! I came here hoping to make a quick buck from the Song family, but I ended up getting a cold shoulder."
Suddenly, one of the henchmen suggested, "Boss, why don't we chase after that group? Maybe we can snatch the treasure map back."
The man stopped, thought for a moment, then shook his head. "No, it's too dangerous. Those people have guns; if we go, we'll just be throwing our lives away."
"So we're just going to call it quits?" The underlings were all dejected.
The man sighed, "Oh well, consider this bad luck. We'll find another opportunity later."
Just as they were about to leave the Song family, they suddenly heard footsteps.
The man immediately tensed up and quickly signaled his brothers to hide.
A group of people walked in, led by a young man dressed in fine clothes.
The third brother recognized at a glance that this young man was Master Song's nephew.
