Ma Hehua lost her mind, and her whole being was like an enraged wild beast, with bloodshot eyes, disheveled hair, and muffled roars coming from her mouth.
Her hands flailed wildly in the air, as if she wanted to tear everything in front of her to shreds.
That once gentle face was now horribly distorted, every muscle twitching, revealing the madness deep within.
Unexpectedly, behind the bronze door was a building that looked like a palace.
The massive stone gate was split open by lightning, and the light shining through it was somewhat eerie.
The walls of the palace were covered with ancient and mysterious runes, which shimmered with a faint blue light, as if telling a story from long ago.
The palace's dome is extremely high; looking up, it seems as if clouds and mist are swirling around it, making one feel as if they are between a fairyland and a ghostly realm.
"Where is this place?" Ma Lihua asked curiously.
She stared wide-eyed, curiously looking around.
My hand gently touched the wall, feeling the cold touch of the runes.
"I don't know, we need to find your mother as soon as possible."
Ma Linghua was worried that something had happened to her daughter.
Her brows were furrowed, and her eyes were filled with anxiety. Her gaze searched every corner of the palace, not missing any possible hiding place.
Her hands were clenched so tightly that her nails were almost digging into her palms.
Chen Zhiqing continued to fall, the wind whistling past his ears.
His clothes fluttered in the wind, his hair danced in the air. Darkness surged toward him like a tide, but his eyes remained unusually calm.
When he finally reached the bottom, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.
"Little brother, is that you?"
Not only is this Insect Valley exactly the same as when he was here, but the petrified little cuties around it were all raised by him back then.
The valley was filled with a stench mixed with strange spices.
The petrified Gu worms came in various shapes and sizes. Some resembled giant centipedes with long, curved antennae, while others looked like spiders with eight lifelike legs, as if they would come to life at any moment.
“Your choice is not wrong. Nanzhao is indeed suitable for these Gu to survive. However, you have overlooked some details. Gu can only be fierce and powerful when placed in the most adverse environment.”
Chen Zhiqing's voice echoed in the empty darkness.
The voice seemed to come from the deepest hell, carrying an indescribable eeriness.
Countless eyes seemed to be flashing in the darkness, the venomous insects hiding in the shadows stirring restlessly.
The ground of the Insect Valley was rugged and uneven, full of pits and craters of all sizes, some of which contained fluorescent liquid.
Chen Zhiqing walked slowly forward, each step he took seemed to be treading on the strings of history, playing an ancient and dangerous melody.
His figure appeared and disappeared in the dim light, like a ghost from ancient times.
His gaze swept over the petrified Gu worms, and a complex mix of emotions welled up inside him: nostalgia,感慨, and above all, anticipation.
Beneath this seemingly peaceful insect valley lies a power capable of overturning everything.
He took a deep breath, and the stench filled his nostrils, yet it seemed to him as if he were smelling the most alluring fragrance.
Suddenly, a soft rustling sound came from the air, as if something was slowly crawling.
Chen Zhiqing's ears twitched slightly. He stopped and fixed his gaze on the direction from which the sound came.
The rustling sound grew louder and louder, as if a thousand horses were galloping.
There was no fear on his face, but rather an excited anticipation.
Dark clouds filled the sky above the Insect Valley, with occasional streaks of lightning illuminating the eerie place.
Unexpectedly, this place has formed its own magnetic field and space.
In the brief moment of light, one could see the towering peaks surrounding the Insect Valley, their jagged rocks resembling ferocious beasts overlooking the valley.
Within the Insect Valley, Chen Zhiqing stood like a solitary traveler, at the center of this vortex of mysterious power, awaiting the impending storm.
It must be said that the underground palace was too large; Ma Linghua searched for three days and three nights.
These three days and three nights felt like endless torment, with every minute stretched out endlessly.
The enormous underground palace was like an endless maze, with winding corridors and stone chambers densely packed together like a honeycomb.
The magnetic field here is very strange; there seems to be an invisible force permeating the air, suppressing all secret techniques.
The tracking spell that Ma Linghua attempted to cast vanished without a trace, just as soon as it was put into action, like a flame that had been extinguished.
"Grandma, this can't go on, we..."
Ma Lihua said anxiously, her eyes filled with exhaustion and worry.
The search over the past few days has left her exhausted; her once rosy face has turned pale, and her lips are dry and cracked.
"boom……"
Before they could speak, a sound came from the east, like a muffled thunderclap, echoing through the underground palace and making everyone's ears ring.
The two exchanged a glance, their eyes instantly igniting with hope. Without the slightest hesitation, they ran in that direction.
Their footsteps echoed rapidly on the ancient paving stones, raising small patches of dust.
"Hungry! Hungry! Hungry! So hungry!"
Ma Hehua brandished her broadsword, which gleamed with a cold, sharp light in the dimly lit underground palace.
She was like a demon driven by hunger, her eyes filled with madness.
She stomped her foot, and a surge of demonic energy erupted from her body, sweeping towards a secret room like a black tide.
With a loud "boom," the door to the secret chamber was blown open, and rubble flew everywhere.
