Chapter 359 My Mother is Petty

"We are immune to all poisons."

"Xiaoping, go! This time, we can't leave any survivors." Hua Niang's tone immediately turned ruthless.

Ma Hehua saw Xiaoping holding a kitchen knife, which was still dripping blood.

At this moment, Lao Niu also came out from behind the counter, and he looked the three of them up and down.

"Hmph! You've got some skills after all! You look like three weak women, but I didn't expect you to have some tricks up your sleeve. However... you're all going to die tonight."

After he finished speaking, he looked fierce and suddenly found himself holding an axe in his hand.

Before Xiaoping and Lao Niu could get close, Ma Hehua pulled out a large knife from behind her back.

Not only did the blade gleam with a cold light, but its weight also indicated that it was a formidable weapon.

Night, like thick ink, heavily enveloped this remote inn.

The moon was completely obscured by dark clouds, and the occasional sliver of light that pierced through only briefly illuminated a corner of the narrow and rugged road before being swallowed by darkness again.

The wind howled through the red lanterns, sounding like a wail from hell, sending chills down one's spine.

The atmosphere in the inn was so tense it was almost frozen.

Ma Hehua stared intently at Xiaoping, who was holding a kitchen knife with blood still dripping from the blade.

The blood-dripping cleaver gleamed eerily in the dim light, as if telling the story of a fierce battle that had just taken place.

A hint of restlessness flickered in Ma Hehua's eyes; her breathing quickened slightly, and she gripped the large knife she had just pulled from behind her back tightly.

Blood; her body seemed to crave blood.

The blade gleamed with a cold, icy light, as if it could slice through the thick darkness; its heavy weight left no doubt about its power.

Her arms trembled slightly from the exertion, as if she were gathering strength for the upcoming battle.

Old Niu then slowly walked out from behind the counter. His eyes were sinister, and his voice was low and hoarse, as if squeezed out from between his teeth, carrying endless ferocity and determination.

He had somehow found himself holding an axe in his hand, its blade gleaming coldly in the dim light, like the scythe of death.

He leaned forward slightly, adopting an attack posture, like a beast ready to pounce on its prey at any moment.

Xiaoping stood still, her hand still tightly gripping the kitchen knife, her eyes revealing determination, fearlessness, and a hint of excitement.

Despite the threats from Lao Niu and Xiao Ping, the three members of the Ma family showed no sign of backing down.

Ma Hehua stood with her feet slightly apart, her body tense, like a fully drawn bow, ready to be released at any moment.

Her gaze was fixed on the old ox, as if the slightest carelessness would result in a fatal blow.

Just then, Ma Lihua suddenly spoke up: "Mother, put the knife away, we'll use this."

Her clear and loud voice broke the brief silence.

All eyes were instantly drawn to her, where she held a silver gun steadily in both hands.

The gun shone brightly in the darkness, like a ray of dawn in the darkness.

The gun's body is exquisite and smooth, reflecting a faint light, giving it a mysterious yet deadly feel.

Xiaoping, Hua Niang, and Lao Niu all twitched their eyelids involuntarily; they clearly hadn't expected Ma Lihua to produce such a powerful weapon.

Ma Hehua was slightly taken aback, and she slowly put down the large knife in her hand.

"Does this thing work?"

As he spoke, he took the gun.

“bui bui bui………”

She pressed the button a few times lightly, and the gun went off accidentally.

One burst of bullets hit Hua Niang's hair, and she was so frightened that she wet herself, filling the inn with the stench of urine.

"Stop...stop hitting me! Be careful! Hit me however you want!"

She was devastated. The wolves outside were afraid of this weapon; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to control her.

Old Niu's face grew even more somber, and he gripped the axe in his hand even tighter.

His gaze lingered on the gun in Ma Hehua's hand for a moment, as he secretly considered his next move.

He knew the gun was incredibly powerful, but he wasn't willing to give up so easily. A hint of madness flickered in his eyes, as if he had decided to gamble everything.

"You think you can leave here alive just because you have a gun? You're so naive!"

Old Niu gritted his teeth and said, his voice filled with anger and resentment.

His body trembled slightly, as if he was suppressing his inner fear and anger.

Ma Lihua sneered, "Then let's see!"

Her eyes revealed confidence.

Ma Hehua held the gun, her finger lightly resting on the trigger, as if a single movement could decide the fate of the old ox.

The atmosphere in the inn grew increasingly tense, as if the air itself had frozen, while the wind continued to howl outside the window.

At this tense moment, Xiaoping seized a fleeting opportunity, a resolute glint in his eyes, and suddenly raised the kitchen knife to slash fiercely at Ma Linghua.

She used all her strength in this strike, as if she had placed all her hopes on this one blade. The blade flashed a cold light in the dimly lit inn, whistling away with the force of breaking through the wind.

However, a shocking scene unfolded.

Ma Linghua sat on the stool, her body completely still, as steady as an ancient tree rooted in the ground.

Her two delicate white fingers, like nimble jade shoots, seemingly gently pinched the cleaver coming at her, her movements fluid and seamless.

The moment my fingers touched the cleaver, time seemed to stand still.

Ma Linghua didn't even blink; she just flicked her wrist lightly. That seemingly insignificant movement contained unimaginable power.

Xiaoping felt a tremendous impact, like a tidal wave, and she and her knife flew backward uncontrollably, like a kite with a broken string.

In mid-air, her body arced through the air, and with a scream, she crashed heavily onto a table not far away.

After bearing the immense impact of Xiaoping and her, the table shattered with a dull thud.

Wood chips flew everywhere, like shattered dreams scattered on the cold ground.

Xiaoping lay amidst the chaos, his face filled with shock and pain.

Her body trembled slightly from the pain, and her eyes revealed disbelief and a hint of fear.

The two people around were also stunned by this sudden scene. The inn fell into a deathly silence, with only the wind still howling outside the window, as if mocking this sudden change.

Ma Linghua remained calm, as if everything that had just happened was a trivial matter. Her figure appeared particularly mysterious and powerful in this scene.

"You're really something. Attacking my mother would have been better than just killing me. With my mother's petty nature, you're probably in for a lot of trouble," Ma Hehua said gloatingly.

Ma Lihua: "…………………………"

She didn't know what to say; her mother was probably the one who was really in trouble.
