From the very beginning, Ma Hehua never intended to let Hu Zi, who called her a slut, go.
Watching Tiger turn into a pool of black water in agony, a heavy and oppressive atmosphere filled the room.
However, Old Deng's eyes remained calm, as if the tragic scene before him did not stir any emotion within him.
He spoke slowly and asked calmly, "Have you received payment for all the goods sold?"
Wolf looked at the pool of black water, his heart filled with shock and complex emotions, but when he heard Old Deng's question, he quickly came back to his senses and nodded, "I got it. Master Kongsang said he would come in person to collect the materials for making the Sister Drum."
Old Deng's eyes held a sinister glint, a gaze that seemed to pierce through people's hearts, sending chills down their spines.
"That's perfect. The shop has top-quality materials. Whether he can get them or not depends on his ability."
As he spoke, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, revealing an enigmatic smile.
Wolf Cub felt a chill run down his spine and instantly understood Old Deng's intention.
It seems that Deng wants Nadazi to test the waters.
A terrifying scene flashed through his mind as he imagined the impending battle between Master Kongsang and that woman.
Wolf knew that this contest was no ordinary one, and it was bound to be full of danger and unknowns.
But he also understood that Deng's decision was beyond question.
Moreover, those three women seemed to threaten his position and interests.
The room was so quiet it was suffocating.
The pool of black water seemed to be telling the story of Tiger's tragic fate, while Old Deng's sinister eyes and the upturn of his lips foreshadowed the coming storm.
Wolf stood there, his feelings complicated.
Tiger's fate may be my own.
But he knew he had to follow Deng Ye's orders, or he might be killed off even sooner.
At night, the wind howled, like the roar of an angry beast.
A gray-black wolf stood quietly not far away, its deep eyes fixed on the red lanterns above the inn.
The red lanterns swayed in the wind, emitting a faint light, like a glimmer of hope in the darkness.
Hua Niang sat on the observation deck, yawning, her face full of exhaustion.
She was wrapped in a thick cotton-padded coat, a hint of confusion in her eyes, gazing at the dark night, wondering to herself whether any guests would come tonight.
The silence of the night made her uneasy, as if some unknown danger was quietly approaching.
Inside the inn, Xiao Hong was mopping the floor, her face full of helplessness.
The black water wouldn't budge no matter what I did, and it emitted a foul stench.
"Brother Wolf, what's this? It stinks! I can't get it clean!"
She complained as she vigorously mopped the floor, glancing at the wolf sitting on the bed every now and then.
Wolf frowned slightly, as if he was thinking about something.
"If it's not clean enough, then don't bother. I'll just move to another room. By the way, has anything happened at the inn lately?"
The wolf's cry broke the silence.
Xiao Hong paused, looked up, glanced left and right, and then secretly closed the door.
A mysterious expression appeared on her face as she lowered her voice and said, "Brother Wolf, let me tell you, you absolutely mustn't offend the three women who came to our inn. They kill without blinking an eye, and... they're not even afraid of ghosts."
A hint of fear flashed in Xiao Hong's eyes, as if she had recalled something terrible.
She continued, "I heard from Sister Hua that when they arrived, they carried a menacing aura that sent chills down your spine. And their eyes were terrifying, like they could see right through you. Brother Wolf, you have to be careful!"
Xiao Hong's words were full of worry. She was a rather cunning woman, but at this moment, her heart was only filled with concern for Langzi.
Wolf fell into deep thought after hearing Little Red's words.
He knew that woman was definitely not simple, but he didn't expect there to be two of them.
Now, in this dangerous inn, he must remain vigilant to survive.
He looked at Xiao Hong and felt a warm feeling well up in his heart. He knew that Xiao Hong told him this information because she liked him.
Wolf nodded slightly and said, "I understand, thank you, Little Red."
A shy smile appeared on Xiao Hong's face. She lowered her head and whispered, "Brother Wolf, you must be careful!"
"Okay! I understand. It's getting dark, you should go and get some rest!"
"Alright, I'm off! If... you need anything tonight, feel free to come find me anytime."
With that, her face slightly flushed, she picked up the bucket and ran off.
Looking at Xiao Hong's burly figure, Langzi felt that unless he was forced to, he was fine on his own.
The three members of the Ma family actually spent a comfortable month at Old Deng's inn.
However, their behavior over the past month has truly shocked everyone at the inn.
If a man interrupts a woman while she is speaking, he will be subjected to a severe beating from Ma Hehua.
The crisp sound of the slap seemed to proclaim her authority.
She also arbitrarily ordered Lao Deng to race against wolves and made them perform acrobatics, jump through fire hoops, swim in icy rivers, and ski.
Although Lao Deng and Langzi were unwilling, they dared not disobey. The other people in the inn were forced to watch, feeling both helpless and amused as they watched them being tormented to exhaustion.
This commotion really got everyone in the inn in order.
Ma Hehua also enthusiastically shared her secrets from working in the brothel with Hua Niang, telling her how to showcase her talents.
Hua Niang blushed and responded earnestly and humbly, nodding in agreement from time to time.
Ma Hehua, however, spoke eloquently, as if sharing some valuable experience.
