When Ma Lihua woke up, she was in a hospital, a large hospital in Yunnan.
"Grandma?"
Her voice was hoarse, and she felt a pain in her throat.
"Oh! Little girl, you're awake? Here, have some water."
A nurse in white thoughtfully brought her a glass of water.
"puff…………"
She vomited blood before she could even drink the water.
"Oh my god! Dr. Yang, quick, this patient is vomiting blood!" The nurse ran out like the wind.
She turned pale with fright. What would she do if something happened?
Could the patient try to extort a lot of money from her just because she drank a glass of water? The nurse was in a state of turmoil.
Ma Lihua lay on the hospital bed, her once rosy lips now bloodless and cracked like parched earth.
Her eyes opened slightly, filled with confusion and pain, as if she were struggling to escape from a nightmare.
The nurse was so frightened by Ma Lihua vomiting blood that she was at a loss for what to do. Her figure flashed past the ward door, leaving only the sound of her hurried footsteps echoing in the corridor.
The air in the ward froze instantly; the tense atmosphere felt like a tangible rope, tightly constricting the throats of everyone present.
What's wrong with her?
"I don't know, he vomited blood!"
"Look how scared Xiao Song is."
The patients lying in the ward were talking all at once.
Ma Hehua and Ma Linghua ran wildly down the hospital corridor, like two trapped beasts who had lost their minds.
Ma Hehua's buttocks still ached slightly, the spot where the crab had pinched her seemed to be a reminder of the absurdity of this accident.
But at this moment, she was filled with worry for Ma Lihua, and her eyes were glistening with anxious tears.
Her hair was flying wildly as she ran, and her clothes were soaked with sweat and clung to her back.
Ma Linghua's face grew increasingly cold, her gaze seemingly capable of freezing the surrounding air.
She cursed through gritted teeth, each word like an icicle squeezed from between her teeth.
As she ran, she scanned each ward, constantly muttering Ma Lihua's name, her voice sounding particularly mournful in the quiet hospital corridor.
"If anything happens to Pear Blossom, none of us will live, and the entire Ma family will be buried with her."
Ma Linghua seems to have gone a bit mad.
The seven men of the Li family: "……………………"
Once caught in the vortex of emotions, it's like a wild horse that's out of control.
Ma Hehua finally found Ma Lihua's ward and rushed in almost stumbling.
Her hands trembled as she took the water bottle out of her bag, the bottle feeling as heavy as a thousand pounds in her hands.
She unscrewed the kettle lid, disregarding her own clumsiness, and carefully helped Ma Lihua up.
Ma Lihua leaned against Ma Hehua's chest, her mouth weakly open.
The water poured from the kettle, like a fountain of life, slowly flowed into Ma Lihua's mouth.
Every drop of water seemed to carry the hopes of the iris and the iris, moistening the parched throat of the pear blossom.
Ma Linghua stood to the side, her eyes fixed on Ma Lihua, her fists clenched so tightly that her knuckles turned white from the force.
She held her breath, as if making a sound would disturb Ma Lihua's rhythm of drinking water.
The ward was so quiet that only Ma Lihua's faint swallowing could be heard.
Ma Hehua's eyes never left Ma Lihua's face. She prayed silently in her heart, hoping that the water could restore some of Ma Lihua's life.
Her lips trembled slightly, but she dared not make a sound, for fear of disturbing the delicate peace in the ward.
At this moment, the nurse rushed over with Dr. Yang.
Dr. Yang looked serious, his white coat billowing slightly as he ran.
He quickly went to the bedside, took out his stethoscope, and prepared to gently place it on Ma Lihua's chest, but Ma Linghua stopped him.
The nurse huddled to one side, her face pale and her eyes filled with terror.
She kept her head down, not daring to meet Ma Linghua's gaze, and kept praying in her heart that Ma Lihua would not be seriously injured, otherwise she really didn't know how to face this crazy family.
"Lotus, carrying pear blossoms on your back, let's go."
Ma Linghua's voice was like a sharp ice knife, slicing through the frozen air in the ward.
"Okay, Mom."
Ma Hehua responded and quickly carried Ma Lihua on her back.
Ma Lihua lay weakly on Ma Hehua's back, her head drooping listlessly.
The three of them turned and left, moving with astonishing speed, as if a gust of wind had swept by.
Dr. Yang reached out to stop them, but only grasped at empty air. He watched helplessly as their figures quickly disappeared at the end of the corridor, their backs conveying a sense of determination and urgency.
"Back to Black Wind Village."
Ma Linghua's tone was devoid of any warmth, as if it came from the depths of an ice cellar.
Ma Hehua took out a bell from her bosom and shook it gently.
The bell emitted a clear yet slightly eerie sound.
"Lan Niang, come to see me quickly."
Ma Hehua shouted.
As soon as he finished speaking, a gust of cold wind blew by, carrying a hint of chill.
Lan Niang appeared disheveled, her hair was messy, and her face still showed signs of panic.
She frantically dressed while her eyes darted around.
Old Deng, standing to the side, looked even more disheveled, his belt not even properly fastened, hanging loosely around his waist.
Clearly, the two ghosts had just been fooling around when this sudden summons ruined their fun.
Lan Niang looked timidly at Ma Linghua and the others, her eyes showing both displeasure at being disturbed and fear of Ma Linghua.
Old Deng stood to the side with his head down, trying to cover his embarrassment with his hands, muttering indistinct words.
