Ma Linghua's eyes were wide with anger, and the long sword in her hand trembled slightly, as if she could take Huang Sanlang's life at any moment.
Her red cotton-padded jacket fluttered in the wind like a burning flame, exuding a chilling aura, while her army green shoes with several holes were particularly oppressive.
"Huang Sanlang, how dare you cross the Ma family's bottom line! Today is your death day."
Ma Linghua's voice was as cold as ice, echoing throughout the Black Mountain.
The surrounding ghosts trembled and remained silent.
Huang Sanlang knelt on the ground, his face pale and his eyes filled with despair.
He knew he had no way out and only hoped to save Cuihua and the child.
"Fairy, I, Huang Sanlang, will take full responsibility for my actions. Please spare my family."
The white weasel behind her looked extremely ugly. She never expected that Huang Sanlang, who was usually so imposing, would be so easily defeated in front of Ma Linghua.
She was filled with remorse, realizing she must have been blind to have hooked up with this useless guy.
Looking at Huang Sanlang's pitiful appearance, Ma Linghua felt no pity whatsoever.
She was no delicate woman; she possessed strength and skill. Recalling the countless ghosts she had helped to find peace and the countless demons she had slain, she knew her temper was never one to be trifled with.
The dagger in his hand transformed into a longsword, and with a single swing, a flash of cold light appeared. "Huang Sanlang, do you think your death can atone for your betrayal? Your wife and children are also implicated."
Upon hearing this, Huang Sanlang felt utterly devastated. He pleaded desperately, "Fairy, Cuihua and the child know nothing. They are innocent. Please have mercy and spare them."
The white weasel panicked and immediately knelt on the ground. "Fairy, this is all Huang Sanlang's fault. It has nothing to do with us. Please, have mercy."
Ma Linghua narrowed her eyes slightly, thought for a moment, and then said, "Fine, Huang Sanlang, since you still have some sense of responsibility, I can spare your wife and child's lives. Even if you atone with your death, you can't make up for the debt you owe the Ma family. So, you might as well be reduced to ashes!"
Upon hearing this, the white weasel trembled all over. Was this woman a devil?
Upon hearing this, Huang Sanlang's eyes flashed with a sense of relief, and he kowtowed heavily, "Thank you for your great kindness, Fairy Maiden."
After saying this, he slowly stood up, closed his eyes, and awaited death.
Ma Linghua raised her sword and brought it down; Huang Sanlang fell to the ground with a thud, his blood staining the land red.
The white weasel trembled with fear. She knew that from this moment on, she had to stay away from this dangerous place, or she would be the next to die.
"Ding-dong..."
The sound of the Soul-Capturing Bell echoed continuously in the Black Mountain, clear yet eerie.
Each ring of the bell seemed to strike the hearts of the demons and monsters, filling them with dread.
Ma Linghua stood there expressionless, watching Huang Sanlang's soul gradually appear with indifferent eyes.
She slowly raised her hand and struck out without hesitation. A ball of red flame instantly erupted from her palm, like a ferocious beast pouncing on Huang Sanlang's soul.
"Ah...ah...it hurts...it hurts so much...Cuihua, take good care of our child."
Huang Sanlang's screams echoed in the air, filled with despair and pain.
However, Ma Linghua remained unmoved; her heart was filled with only anger at Huang Sanlang for crossing the Ma family's bottom line.
The flames relentlessly burned Huang Sanlang's soul. His figure gradually twisted and shrank in the flames, eventually turning into dust and dissipating into the world.
The surrounding temperature seemed to drop to freezing point instantly, and the air in the Black Mountain was so quiet it was suffocating.
Every demon and monster was so frightened that they dared not utter a sound. They looked at Ma Linghua in terror, fearing that they would be the next to be punished.
A gentle breeze rustled the leaves, adding to the eerie and terrifying atmosphere.
Ma Linghua stood there quietly, her red dress fluttering in the wind, like a cold goddess. Her gaze swept over the demons and monsters around her, and they all lowered their heads, not daring to meet her eyes.
In the silent Black Mountain, time seemed to stand still.
The demons and monsters were filled with fear; they didn't know what Ma Linghua would do next.
Meanwhile, Ma Linghua was thinking about how to maintain the dignity and authority of the Ma family, so that these demons and monsters would not dare to easily cross the line again.
After a long while, Ma Linghua turned slightly and looked up at Cuihua.
Cuihua collapsed to the ground in terror. "No, spare me! You promised Sanlang, you can't kill me!"
"Cough cough cough..."
Ma Lihua coughed weakly and slowly woke up.
The pungent, foul odor hit her face, making her stomach churn and almost causing her to vomit.
"Ugh~"
Seeing this, Ma Hehua was extremely anxious and quickly asked with concern, "Lihua, what's wrong? Are you about to vomit blood again?"
Ma Linghua said expressionlessly to the person behind her, "Bring a bed over."
Before long, a luxurious and soft bed appeared before them.
Ma Hehua carefully placed Ma Lihua on the table. Ma Lihua said weakly, "Grandma, Mom, I'm fine, it just smells bad."
Ma Linghua: "……………………"
She was startled; she'd think Pear Blossom had coughed up blood again!
"You damned beast, the stench of you can be smelled for miles around. Don't you know how to be a little more hygienic?"
After putting her daughter down, Ma Hehua couldn't help but scold her loudly.
At this moment, Cuihua felt as if she had fallen into an ice cellar as Ma Hehua stared at her with a sinister gaze. In an instant, fear spread throughout her body.
