The atmosphere suddenly became tense in front of the palace gates.
"Halt! Who dares to trespass into the Empress's palace? State your name."
"Otherwise, don't blame us for being rude."
Two palace maids suddenly appeared like ghosts, their sharp shouts exploding in the quiet air.
Their imposing presence made it seem as if they were protecting the most sacred and inviolable place in the world.
Ma Lihua was already on edge, and this sudden reprimand was like a thunderclap in her ears. Her face turned ashen, and her body trembled violently. "Pfft..." A mouthful of blood spurted out, splattering a shocking crimson stain on the ground.
"Clap clap clap..."
Ma Linghua's mother was instantly enraged. With her large, fan-like hands, she slapped the palace maid's face like a storm.
The crisp sound of a slap echoed in front of the palace. The two palace maids were so dazed and disoriented that they collapsed to the ground, as if their souls had been ripped out.
Ma Linghua hurriedly took out water and handed it to Ma Lihua. Ma Lihua, like a drowning person grasping at a straw, gulped down a large mouthful, her eyes still filled with fear.

Ma Hehua merely glanced at him coldly and disdainfully, her disgust undisguised, as if she had seen the filthiest thing in the world.
Ma Hehua's next words exploded like a bombshell in the luxurious yet chaotic palace. Xue Fei's eyes widened as if she had heard the most absurd statement in the world.
"Xuefei, is it! Now you only have one path in front of you: seduce men, achieve great success, and we'll let you go once we're satisfied."
Ma Hehua's unquestionable tone left Xuefei speechless for a moment, inwardly cursing, "Where did this lunatic come from?"
"I am, after all, a concubine. How dare you servants be so disrespectful? Aren't you afraid of angering me?"
Xuefei tried to use her status to suppress these arrogant intruders. Her face was gloomy, and her slightly trembling hands gathered her pink semi-transparent gauze dress, trying to salvage a bit of dignity. However, her half-concealed posture looked somewhat ridiculous at this moment.
