Jiang Tao was about to leave when a policeman stopped her, "Stop, come over here for registration and inspection."
Her heart was in her throat. Had they found out?
"What are you standing there for? Come here right now."
Before Jiang Tao could speak, Ma Linghua added, "What are you registering? She's not human, she's just messing around."
Jiang Tao: [Oh! Thank you so much!]
"bump!"
Without a word, she smashed through the window and escaped. Now was the perfect time; without a powerful Taoist priest, catching her was simply a pipe dream.
Goodbye!
A smile graced her face as she turned around, and "Bang!" a pair of large feet came hurtling towards her face.
"Ouch! Holy crap, who is it?"
Luckily, she reacted quickly, otherwise she would have been disfigured.
Jiang Tao felt a gust of wind rush towards her face, and the huge foot, carrying immense force, seemed to be kicking her head like a ball.
She suddenly leaned back, her body moving away like a ghost, her hair dancing wildly in the wind, the smile on her face vanishing instantly, replaced by fear and anger.
"Which fool dares to ruin my good time!"
Jiang Tao roared, her eyes wide like copper bells, staring intently at the figure that had suddenly appeared before her.
He was a burly man with a face full of scars and a fierce look in his eyes.
The burly man grinned, revealing a set of uneven, yellow teeth: "Little devil, still trying to run? Today you won't escape."
As he spoke, he swung his fist at Jiang Tao again, the wind from his punches whistling and making the surrounding air buzz.
Jiang Tao darted to the side like an eel, and with a wave of her hands, several dark figures shot towards the burly man.
The burly man remained calm and unhurried. With a wave of his hand, he dispersed the dark shadow, which turned out to be several black skeletons.
Jiang Tao frowned, realizing she had encountered a tough opponent, and one with considerable skill.
She stomped her feet on the ground, leaped into the air, and performed a graceful somersault, attempting to pass over the big man's head.
But the big man wouldn't let her have her way. He suddenly jumped up and grabbed at Jiang Tao's ankle with his big hand like an eagle's claw.
Jiang Tao felt a chill run down her ankle and knew she was in trouble. She twisted her body desperately and barely managed to dodge the fatal grab.
After landing, she dared not delay any longer and took off running, glancing back as she ran. The big man was hot on her heels, making the chase even more thrilling.
Those around them were even more bewildered. Ma Linghua's gaze turned cold. "Hmph! This is the price for not asking me to cut your hair."
Li Zhongguo shuddered; Linghua really held a grudge.
Blood Corpse: "………………………"
Come on! Is it that she doesn't want to invite me? Can you please be reasonable?
Why are you pursuing me?
Jiang Tao is almost in the mountains.
"Demon, I am under orders from Lord Suzaku to capture any harmful ghosts and demons and imprison them in the Ghost Sealing Tower."
The big man was in particularly good spirits and seemed very excited.
Just as he was getting closer to the mountains, he suddenly realized something was wrong.
"Oh no, we've fallen into a trap." His expression changed drastically.
"Hehehehe..."
One chilling voice after another rang out from behind him, and the blood corpse Jiang Tao pierced his heart with one hand.
"puff!"
The burly man coughed up a mouthful of blood, staring in disbelief at the pair of sharp claws on his chest that resembled those of a wild beast.
Do you know why I ran away?
"Why...?"
“If I don’t run away, those two women will make a move, and I’ll have to obediently be locked up by you. If I fight in the wild… they won’t interfere.”
Jiang Tao's blood-red eyes gleamed eerily in the darkness. A cruel smile curled at the corner of her lips as she looked at the dying man before her, as if he were prey in her grasp.
"You're too naive. You really think you can catch me?" Her voice seemed to come from the deepest hell, icy cold and full of endless mockery.
The burly man's body trembled violently, and the light in his eyes gradually dimmed, but a trace of resentment still remained.
He tried to struggle, but the pierced heart had drained all his strength. Blood gushed from his chest, staining the surrounding earth red, and the air was thick with the stench of blood.
Jiang Tao stuck out her tongue and licked the blood off her claws, as if she were tasting the sweetest nectar in the world.
"The flesh and blood of cultivators are truly delicious."
She whispered, then abruptly pulled her claws from the big man's chest with a chilling sound.
She opened her gaping maw and bit down on the big man's neck. Her sharp teeth tore through the flesh, and blood splattered on her hideous face.
"Mother, do you think he's stupid? That's a blood corpse, and he just chased after it like that?"
“Why bother with so many other people’s business? We don’t even know each other, and we won’t be invited to the banquet,” Ma Linghua replied.
Li Zhongguo's eyes narrowed; it seemed that the man was not coming back.
"We don't have time to meddle in other people's business. This world is a dog-eat-dog world."
_
Jiang Tao was eating with great relish, and a faint bloody light emanated from her body. With each piece of flesh she devoured, her power seemed to increase.
Her figure appeared even more terrifying in the moonlight; it was a kind of evil beauty that transcended life and death.
The surrounding trees seemed to sense this evil aura, their leaves rustling as if trembling at the sight of this brutal slaughter.
The burly man's body gradually withered, his life fading away as Jiang Tao devoured him.
Jiang Tao let out a satisfied burp, stood up, and her figure seemed to have become even taller and stronger under the nourishment of the blood.
Then, she turned and disappeared into the depths of the forest, leaving behind only a trail of blood and the gruesome corpse.
The wind howled through the forest, as if mourning the life that had passed away.
When I got home, I saw Ma Lihua eating pork stew with vermicelli, and it looked so delicious.
"Grandma, Mom, are you going to eat?"
"Eat up! I'm starving." Her mother slid up onto the stool, and then Wang Ma was about to get her a bowl when Uncle Fu stopped her.
"No need, Madam... has a bowl."
Wang Ma was taken aback. A bowl? Where did it come from? Could it just appear out of thin air?
She wouldn't listen to Uncle Fu and immediately went to get a medium-sized bowl and chopsticks and went back to the living room.
Ma Linghua and Ma Hehua were seen taking a large bowl and dividing a pot of pork stew with vermicelli.
Wang Ma: "…………………………"
I glanced at the bowl and chopsticks I was holding and felt like a clown.
"Hmph! I told you not to take it, but you wouldn't listen," Uncle Fu said, shaking his head.
"By the way, Rinka, have you noticed that the weather in Kyoto has been a bit strange lately?"
Ma Linghua wanted to see what her sweetheart thought.
"Grandma, all of this is predetermined, it has nothing to do with us." Ma Lihua finished the last bite of the rice noodles.
"That's good. Oh, by the way, let's go see Fa Gui tomorrow!" Ma Linghua suddenly said.
"Mother, why are we going to see him?"
Ma Hehua didn't want to go. Fa Gui had become increasingly talkative lately, and if she went, she would probably have to listen to his complaints again.
