"She's probably still asleep! Never mind her, you guys go eat!" Ma Linghua frowned, her tone a little impatient.
"Mom, aren't you and Dad going to eat?" Li Panmei pressed.
"We've already eaten. This was specially made for you, so don't waste it. Go and eat! Stop asking questions, why are you asking so many questions?"
Ma Linghua frowned. In her memory, Panmei was so easy to take care of when she was a child. She could understand what her sister wanted with just a glance. Unlike now, she was always nagging and annoying.
Li Panmei was speechless and filled with helplessness. She still had lingering fears about her mother's "discipline" methods from the past.
Good news? It's hard to pinpoint exactly what's going on right now.
The family had just settled down at the table and were about to start eating when Ma Hehua, rubbing her sleepy eyes and yawning, slowly strolled out.
"Wow! What a coincidence! I woke up to find food already available?"
She yelled at the top of her lungs, her voice high and clear, her words carrying a hint of unruliness. She completely ignored everyone else, not even bothering to offer a greeting. Her eyes were fixed on the food on the table. She found an empty seat and plopped down.
Then, out of nowhere, a large bowl appeared, as if they were about to start a big battle.
She wielded her chopsticks with incredible speed, devouring the dishes with astonishing speed, her cheeks puffing out as she swallowed. The dish was emptied in no time, and she didn't even notice the soup splashing on the table.
Li Panmei's family stared in disbelief, their eyes wide and jaws nearly dropping to the ground. They looked at each other, bewildered, thinking, "This...this...is this really so exaggerated?"
In the blink of an eye, she had devoured most of the food on the table. Ma Hehua wiped her mouth contentedly, patted her round belly, and strode towards the water dispenser.
Before anyone could react, she had already picked up the bucket of water, tilted her head back, and started drinking heartily. Her Adam's apple bobbed, and water streamed down her chin and neck, soaking her clothes without her noticing.
Looking at her figure now, she was big and burly, with broad shoulders and a strong waist. Her movements were unrestrained. If it weren't for her bright and beautiful face, she would be a female version of Li Kui.
Li Panmei stared at her, her brows furrowed, her eyes filled with doubt and hesitation, and stammered, "You...you...who are you?"
Yet her nonchalant manner and unrestrained behavior were exactly like the younger sister in my memory, evoking a sense of familiarity that made me both certain and hesitant.
