On a cold night, the sky was as dark as thick ink, spreading wildly, while a fierce wind, carrying snowflakes, raged rampantly.
Beside an ancient, dry well, the atmosphere was tense, like a taut bowstring, ready to be released at any moment.
Jiang Tao was trapped at the bottom of the well, and her mournful voice, like the cry of an owl in the cold night, came from the depths: "Ah... you brat, you're disgusting."
Her voice was filled with anger and resentment, each word carrying a chill that echoed against the walls of the well.
Li Xin was still shaken, but he forced himself to remain calm and retorted defiantly, "Disgusting? You're a ghost. If I weren't disgusting, wouldn't you have attacked us just now?"
As he spoke, he hopped around in the direction of the well, as if this would embolden him and suppress the rising fear in his heart.
After saying that, he arrogantly raised his chin and showed off his "winning weapon" to his four brothers beside him. He was full of pride and looked just like a victorious rooster, thinking that he had grasped the ultimate skill to subdue demons.
The four were already terrified, and in this dark, silent, snowy night, fear wrapped around them like cold spider silk.
Hearing is believing, seeing is believing. The boy's urine really made Jiang Tao suffer. When the urine touched the broken skin, it was like salt being sprinkled on the wound, gnawing at the flesh and blood. She was in so much pain that her face was contorted and she grimaced.
Seeing this, the four gritted their teeth, steeled their resolve, and shakily unbuckled their belts. A cold night wind blew, and their lower bodies felt chilly. But thinking of the ghostly threat, they didn't care about their embarrassment and showed off their "tools," muttering to themselves to encourage themselves.
One of them stammered, "Actually... I'm still single." It was as if she was explaining that she had no choice but to do so, as she usually didn't have the opportunity to "reveal" herself like this.
Another person quickly chimed in, "Yes, that's right, me too." His tone was tinged with self-deprecation and panic.
"Girls don't deserve to spend my money."
"Only learning can attract my attention."
The group chatted amongst themselves, trying to dispel the eerie chill that permeated the air with their awkward and absurd chatter.
The snow fell even more wildly, with layers of goose-feather-like snowflakes crashing down. The "weapons" of the group shivered in the cold wind, becoming numb and painful, as if they were about to lose their function at any moment.
Li Wen's face flushed red, and he managed to stammer, "Brother Xin, can't we just leave? Why are we still here?"
These words were like a mute button being pressed, and the surroundings fell into an eerie silence for a moment. Then Li Xin reacted and cursed, "Why the hell didn't you say so earlier?"
They hurriedly pulled up their pants and ran for their lives. The four of them, as if waking from a dream, didn't care about anything else and followed them in a frantic sprint, leaving a trail of messy footprints in the snow. Only Jiang Tao, covered in urine, remained at the bottom of the well, glaring angrily in pain, but she was powerless to stop them from running away.
Li Xin dared not return to his room. Filled with anxiety, he rushed to Ma Lihua to complain.
Blood Corpse: "…………………………"
You little brat.
The night was as dark as ink, snowflakes were falling, and the room of Ma Lihua was warm and cozy. Shangguan Wenyan was fast asleep with her, immersed in the gentle embrace of dreams.
The door was suddenly knocked on, the "knock knock knock" breaking the silence. Shangguan Wenyan's figure flashed and disappeared into the shadows. Ma Lihua frowned, full of annoyance. She rubbed her eyes and sat up, asking in a loud voice, "What's wrong?"
The door opened, and a cold wind carrying snow rushed into the room. She shivered, wearing a fluffy nightgown, and saw Li Xin outside the door, panting heavily.
Li Xin's face was deathly pale, his nose was red from the cold, and he could barely speak, stammering, "Aunt... Aunt... Aunt... there's... there's a ghost in the dry well behind our house."
Upon hearing this, Ma Lihua frowned, looked at him suspiciously, and said with a sneer, "Ghosts? Impossible. My grandmother and mother are at home. How could ghosts come to my house?"
Li Xin stamped his feet anxiously, his eyes reddening, and pleaded in a tearful voice, "Oh, my little aunt! How could your nephew dare to lie to you? If you don't believe me, come with me and take a look."
His heart was pounding like a frightened rabbit; he was on edge and wouldn't be able to sleep soundly until he got rid of that evil spirit tonight.
But Ma Lihua wouldn't go out in this freezing weather. She waved her hand impatiently and said, "It's so cold, I'm not going. Let's talk about it tomorrow!"
After saying that, he slammed the door shut, leaving Li Xin standing outside.
Li Xin was filled with helplessness and was just sighing when his four brothers, who had caught up from behind, surrounded him and stared at him expectantly.
Li Su suggested with a grin, "Hehe! How about we sleep together?"
Li Xin was secretly delighted, but feigned hesitation, saying, "This isn't a good idea!"
Li Wen quickly replied, "We're scared, so please let us stay with you for the night!"
Li Xin and Li Yu behind him nodded repeatedly.
Li Xin readily agreed: "Alright then! Just for one night!"
The group returned to their room. Li Xin quickly locked the door after entering, then, with a quick glance, took out a mirror from his backpack and placed it by the door, before pulling out a pair of red underwear and hanging it up.
Those underwear were "unusual"—they were covered in boys' urine, emitting a pungent odor that instantly intensified the smell of urine in the room.
The group frowned and covered their noses, but there was nothing they could do. Compared to the ghost, the fear they felt was even greater. They could only huddle together in the stench, hoping to get through this terrifying night.
Shangguan Wenyan seemed to be carrying a dark storm, his face as black as ink-stained clouds, surrounded by a black aura that seemed to be real, as he approached the dry well step by step.
The black mist seemed to possess a spirit, meandering and wandering, and wherever it passed, the cold night and snow seemed to be stained even colder, exuding a bone-chilling cold.
At the bottom of the well, the blood corpse, which had been lying dormant, suddenly jerked its body, its nose trembled slightly, and it sniffed hard, as if summoned by some mysterious force.
Immediately afterwards, she gripped the well wall with both hands and slowly climbed out of the well in a twisted, bizarre posture that defied normal human joint movement.
With every inch of movement, the friction between the body and the well wall produced a chilling "rustling" sound.
At this moment, she was nothing short of a terrifying nightmare.
The skin and flesh all over his body had been torn off by the previous impact of urine, revealing a bloody mess of flesh, red blood and white tendons churning and swirling, with pus and blood constantly oozing from the cracks, dripping onto the ground and staining the snow at the wellhead red.
The skin that should have been attached to the body hung limply to the side, like a tattered and rotten piece of cloth.
As they climbed out of the well, the demonic energy, like black silk, wrapped around bits of dead skin and rolled wildly.
The blood corpse's body convulsed and twisted as if struck by lightning, lying on the ground in a crawling, undulating posture, its back arched and its limbs strangely bent and stretched, moving towards Shangguan Wenyan, muttering: "Death energy, give me more, I want more."
As wisps of death energy were inhaled, she felt as if a long-awaited rain had come after a drought. The pain from the wound that had been burning her with the boy's urine seemed to ease.
She grew increasingly greedy, her chest heaving as she gulped down the deathly aura. The veins on her neck bulged, seemingly about to burst through her skin. On her ferocious face, only an endless thirst for the deathly aura burned brightly, as if she wanted to transform this cold, dry well into a hellish battlefield nourished by evil spirits.
