Chapter 281 They look very similar

Chen Zhiqing coughed a few times, and a man in his twenties immediately asked, "Young Master, it's time to take your medicine."

"Okay! I understand."

Before dawn, everyone in the Song family was busy. With the New Year approaching, the eldest mistress had begun decorating the house. It was good that the young master had come; the New Year would be even more lively.

Old Madam Song couldn't sleep. Zhiqing? Isn't that the son born to this old woman's youngest daughter?

Why did you come back?

Before she could figure it out, she heard a creak as the door opened, and Ma Linghua, yawning, walked in carrying her clothes.

"Madam, these are new clothes that the eldest madam sent over. Please put them on quickly, as the young master will be here soon."

"Aren't you going to let me wear it?" she asked, and then saw Ma Linghua looking at her calmly.

"You really want me to wear it?"

Old Madam Song: "……………………"

"No need, my legs are still fine, I can dress myself."

"That's right, all that Tai Chi practice has been for nothing! Don't you feel younger and younger?" Ma Linghua asked proudly.

Old Madam Song: "……………………"

"Hehe! Yes! I really am getting younger and younger." She gave a slight smile.

After I got dressed, I saw Ma Linghua come in carrying a basin of cold water.

She closed her eyes, put her withered hands in the water, and then scooped them up to wash her face. There was no way around it; she had been trained by Ma Linghua.

Thinking of the reward money given by her grandmother, Ma Linghua barely managed to find some time to deal with this old monster; otherwise, who would pay any attention to her!

Chen Zhiqing was led to the Buddhist hall by Master Song, followed by many servants.

"Mother, Zhiqing has arrived."

Master Song stood at the door and said something.

"Squeak!"

The door opened, and Madam Song was helped out by Ma Linghua. When she saw Chen Zhiqing, Ma Linghua was stunned and almost scared to death.

Is this guy a Gu Daoist? Not only does he look exactly the same, but his expression is practically identical!

They were led to the guest room next to the Buddhist hall.

White light streamed through the carved window lattices, illuminating the ancient hall.

Chen Zhiqing, dressed in an elegant long robe, stood tall and straight like a pine tree. He bowed slightly to Madam Song and said, "Grandson Zhiqing greets his maternal grandmother." His voice was clear and melodious, like jade striking jade, and was particularly pleasant to hear in the quiet space.

Zhiqing raised his head, his handsome face appearing even more dashing in the light and shadow.

His sword-like eyebrows were slightly raised, exuding a heroic and handsome air. His eyes were deep and unfathomable, as if they held endless stories. Beneath his high and straight nose, his thin lips were slightly pursed, outlining a resolute line.

His hair was neat and tidy, with a few strands swaying gently in the breeze, adding to his carefree air.

Looking at her grandson, Madam Song's face was full of love and joy.

"Zhiqing, it's been years since I last saw you, and you've become even more handsome. Please get up." The old lady's voice was gentle yet firm.

She was dressed in gorgeous clothes, and the years had left faint traces on her face, but the wisdom and composure in her eyes had never changed.

The old lady slightly raised her hand, gesturing for Zhiqing to stand up, her eyes filled with joy.

Ma Linghua had to admire the old woman; she really knew how to put on a convincing act.

Zhiqing straightened up, a warm smile playing on his lips. "Grandmother, you flatter me. It's been several years since I last saw you, and I'm delighted that you're still in good health." His words were full of concern and respect.

A warm atmosphere filled the hall, and the reunion of the grandfather and grandson made time seem exceptionally gentle.

The white light shone on them, creating a beautiful scene.

Master Song breathed a sigh of relief; it seemed his mother was back to her old self.

Chen Zhiqing had just finished exchanging pleasantries with his maternal grandmother and was about to turn and leave.

His steps were light and slow, his long robe swaying slightly. He walked slowly, yet with a firm and unrestrained air.

Just as he was about to step out of the hall, Ma Lihua returned from outside.

Ma Lihua wore a light blue dress with a trench coat over it, the hem of which swayed gently with her steps.

Her hair was slightly messy, which only added to her playfulness and liveliness.

As soon as she entered the room, she keenly sensed a gaze fixed on her.

A sense of curiosity welled up in her heart, and she slowly looked up.

Standing beneath the stone archway was a young man, none other than Chen Zhiqing.

The sunlight shone on him, outlining a golden silhouette.

He stood there quietly, a hint of surprise and curiosity in his eyes.

His gaze was fixed on Ma Lihua, as if time had stood still at that moment.

Chen Zhiqing looked at Ma Lihua, and a slight thought crossed his mind.

The woman before me was elegant and refined, like a blooming pear blossom.

Her eyes were bright as stars, sparkling with a lively light; her cheeks were slightly flushed, like peach blossoms in spring; her lips were pursed, as if she had a thousand words to say but hesitated to speak.

He was momentarily lost in thought, forgetting his original plan to leave.

Ma Lihua stared blankly at Chen Zhiqing, a strange sense of familiarity welling up in her heart.

"Young Master, we should go now. It's cold, please keep warm."

"Okay! Let's go."

In the dead of night, all was quiet.

A heavy atmosphere filled Chen Zhiqing's room. He lay on the bed, his face flushed, running a high fever, his consciousness drifting between sleep and wakefulness.

"Pear blossoms, pear blossoms, pear blossoms, don't go!" he suddenly shouted, his voice filled with urgency and longing.

The cry seemed to come from the depths of the soul, filled with endless longing.
